Sounds like the PIP people are thinking you can PHYSICALLY go get a drink, physically go the office, drive etc but not thinking about your mental capacity, memory and confidence to do it.
I managed to get standard daily living pip. However since the assessment I've received my autism diagnosis, today I had a dyspraxia assessment and it seems I meet the diagnostic criteria for that too. And I've been referred for an ADHD assessment. I've also just been allocated support for 6hrs a week as a result of my social care assessment. So following all of this I'm debating whether or not to ask for a review of my pip claim to see if I could get a higher rate. But I'm reluctant because I'm terrified they reassess me then decide to take away the standard rate that they've already been awarded! Pip is such a minefield!
@@SheepdogSays Yeah I've emailed my local council's welfare rights team as they helped me with my last review so I'm going to ask them if they think it's worth going through another assessment or if I'm better off "not rocking the boat" and leaving it as it is

Hi! So I ended up speaking to a solicitor who specialises in pip and they wrote a letter for mine to be redone due to how many law breaking mistakes they made. I would recommend seeking some kind of representation if you can, there are different services and groups. TikTok has an account called pip hero with some great resources. You need to ask your doctor to provide your medical history so you can give evidence of all of your diagnosed conditions, how they affect you, how they limit you etc. They will mess around though. The solicitor said they tend to behave when there’s legal experts involved.
hello i got my pip it was declined But all the info is incorrect on the paper i got 4 points but that only 1 correct the rest is wrong the write up is wrong so i done a appel yestarday now i got to wait again i have proof of this condition it was sent in with them@@SheepdogSays

@@マイル01 they pretty much always decline it the first time. If you write back with all of your medical information from your doctor and go through the criteria 1 by 1 explaining how you are with them that should help. There’s a person called PiP hero on TikTok that seems good for advice too

It's hard to qualify for PIP, there are very specific things that you have to have problems with to get it and you have to answer questions in a very specific way. Also in the assessment they ask questions in a way that can trip you up, you have to state very clearly the things you can't do or have problems with. Get advice from somewhere like Citizens advice and appeal if you can. Also they almost always put things that are untrue in the report they make, it's appalling.
I’m on the judge panel thing at the moment. Will see how it goes. I’ve sent so much evidence their way it ridiculous tbh. They sent me it back printed out for my records and it’s such a thick lump of paper.
@@SheepdogSays Good luck. The thing you not only have to prove that you have the conditions you have but also that they affect your functioning in ways that qualify you for the benefit!
I'm interested in a pip video. I recently found out that I have fibromyalgia. I hate having to go to work it kills me and I can't keep pace with the rest of them like I used to.
Sucks to hear. Hope you can find a way to get work on side with supporting you. I don’t know whether to work on a pip vid before my final outcome or after. I guess the info remains the same either way!
It looks like she’s planning to go to the local pet refuge and her skill is going to be learning Korean. I have a Korean friend I can ask for info on there. Though I’m not sure what their expectations will be.
@@EmilyBattersby yeah I need her to explain the Korean plan hahaha. Physical she started mumbling so il get her answer tonight. She said that part was sorted. So I imagine she’s arranged it with school.
at 23 I need to book mine in but I've had other injections I'm working around so not gotten to covid yet. you need to appeal pip they're known for saying no especially if its the first time applying youve got to just push through it with them, also have you also looked into the govs access to work its a grant to get things to help in the office
I did look at access to work but I think accessing it puts some extra burden on work and ultimately achieves a goal I’d rather not pursue as WFH is so much better all round for me if that makes sense. Hoping the appeal works out nicely.
GP practices aren't known for being the most disease free places so that might be why you've been asked to go in With anything involving government aid, saying you're on the verge of not being able to cope will generally illicit a response of "you don't need it just now, call back when you do" and it's the worst thing but I get the reasons why People I know who get that sort of stuff were only really able to do so because they only ever gave worst case scenario situations and said how the collapse of their life was already underway and such The evidence is a real pain though, I'll need to see if I can get more info from peeps about how they managed that Doing videos on the topics that you are talking about would be an incredibly valuable resource for sure 👀👀👀 I look forward to these when they get made c:
Makes sense. Didn’t consider that! Protecting them. You’re right. There are clear guidelines though and they almost convince you that it’s perfectly reasonable for you to set lots of alarms and rely on a small army of people to get by. When the guidelines state any help like that is a need that should score points etc. Trying to decide whether to research and crack on with the PiP one or wait till I’ve finished the process fully. I should hear back within 8 weeks. Maybe il do it soon then update after mines done.
Ooh I happened to see this and be reminded as was reading a new comment , I have my judge panel review coming up on October 12th. I’ve sent so much evidence their way now and so much info. To the point where i outlined where I meet the criteria using help online. I don’t know what to expect though. It all seems wildly inconsistent and as predictable as the weather
Nearly 7 minutes before you started talking about the purpose of the video. You are full of waffle. I tried my best to listen to you, but gave up in the end. An assessor would do the same. They expect you to answer questions directly. Being able to get to work shows the assessor that you don’t need help with directions.
I’m not serving you a meal you paid for at a restaurant. I couldn’t give a toss if you liked it. Nobody in the world is interested in hearing your opinion on what they do. Try to remember that the next time you feel the urge to type something, then don’t bother 👍🏻
People work through illness due to lack of options. There are people that work so their mental health does not decline.DWP state you can work and still claim.
