Between the old lady pressing in on this guard, and the next lady in white, and then the old lady returning because she obviously didn't feel she was close enough as she needed to touch the guard, they put on a great show of ignorance, disrespect, and entitlement!! Disgusting is correct!!

Here in the states what she did is considered assault (verbal interference) and touching the guard (battery). It can be a felony depending on how egregious it was. Regardless, it can put a permanent stain on an otherwise sterling record if convicted.

I gather the lady couldn't understand English if she was listening in on the conversation the guard and Gatesman were having, but breathing down the Gatesman neck, was a bit much. The other lady in white, must have thought she'd take a chance and see how cute the Gatesman was, she got so close. Total disrespect for men and horse, on duty.

We as the human species feel the need to touch any and everything. I don't understand why those visiting don't get the concept that the Kings Guards and the Kings Horses are doing their daily jobs. Visitors should give them both their space and not be constantly invading that space. Very Disrespectful and proves the visitors lack respect. Definitely has to be stressful for both the Guards and The Kings Horse Gaurds.

Why do people think that the guardsmen are a novelty? I'm American and know that they are there to do a job and not for photo ops! Some people walk straight up and grab the reins because they think it's funny. Some try talking to the guards. Some push the limits because the guard is female. But this is the first time that I've seen this level of disrespect! She should've gotten in serious trouble..

What IS in it? Nothing these days. It’s referred to as a cartridge box, the idea being that it held cartridges(rounds) for a rifle. Many people say that’s unlikely however because of the positioning, but, just because the wearer can’t reach it, doesn’t mean the guy next to him can’t. Soldiers often arrange their gear that way today in the field, with spare ammo placed towards their back so another soldier can easily access it, leaving the front, easily accessible part of the body free for weapons, navigational equipment and comms.

Folks we are blaming the tourists for their rude behavior. I agree but to blame them needs to start at the top. # 1 why aren't the armed police doing their jobs? In stead they are standing around with their fingers up their noses and looking the other way. # 2 the guards should start keeping the tourists back and to stop touching the horses. Only one exception to the rule and that is special needs and blind folks. # 3 then the tourists. Case closed.

That was rude and disrespectful. Those 2 women need to spend some time in a veterans hospital. Thankfully when there is an attitude of being a selfish misers, the young men and women have spent their youth to protect their land, people and the king.
The kings Guard was quick to pull the reins away he's my favourite Guard very observant attention to his horse at all times doing the excellent Job a guard is trained for .
