Hey guys, today I'm sharing a few of the things I hate to say....I know I'm guilty of a lot of them too so I'm kinda telling myself this at the same time lol....anyway lemme know a few awkward truths you think about! xx
Patricia Bright I guess an awkward truth is that I think people have to tweak something to make it big. What confuses me is how people claim that natural beauty should be more appreciated but I see girls like Kylie getting millions of likes and attention. How are ppl like Kylie praised, knowing that most of their adored features are bought?
@@junkmail1111 I think... it's the idea that makeup itself is the more fast-acting way to bring us to perfection, whereas natural beauty takes a long time to nurture and to promote healthy skin. I'm not used to, or comfortable with, putting on a lot of makeup. The best I can do is with lipstick and a dash of mascara and I'm in my 20s. But I really was looking to invest in a few skincare routines than in makeup. Here's to hoping that clear skin will remove the necessity for any sort of foundation.
You guys are actually exhausting. Every other week there is a content creator being "honest" about a world that you guys created. You guys made money from pursuing perfection and now you're making money for pointing out the issues you contributed towards. It's getting harder and harder to believe you guys and to honestly draw inspiration from you. You're making a video (that is sponsored) about issues perpetuated by the beauty community while you're making yourself more beautiful. Its exhausting! But we watch...
obi2020 why? If you’re not wearing it why is it an issue. What I miss are the days when everyone minded their own business. And I say this as a girl who hasn’t done her hair or her nails in YONKERSSSS. Just let people ENJOYYYYYY things!
I do the same. I use to wear eyeliner everyday and I noticed I felt like I looked sick when I didn’t wear it. So I stopped wearing it everyday and now I’m use to not having it lol
This is so true, I made a conscious decision to stop wearing nails, weave/extensions, make up a couple of years back. It was so flipping hard at first but my confidence has grown and if i get a compliment now it means so much more. I only tend to wear these things on special occasions or nights out.
It's funny because: as kids' we go into this world so confident in our "naked" form. 😊💛 Then, this world teaches us to hate ourselves so we buy all these beauty enhancements because it's no longer "presentable" to be as we're... No hate btw, I'm just rambling 😂😂😂❤. I love a good hair, makeup and outfit on a day out like the next girl. 💕
@@mrs.potatohead8471 Thank you, no you're 100% right. Its a shame theres so much pressure and I agree. Theres some situations where i just would need to have some make up etc :)
I know it to be true! I used to hate my weight, then I lost it. Found something else to obsess over. Then obsessed over being too thin. It's never ending when you havent accepted yourself. 🤚🏾

I hate to say it but so many sponsorship videos can feel truly FORCED. I really appreciate when someone takes a sponsorship and makes something more of it than a review. Enjoyed this - thank you Patricia!
VANITY is real, when i had my daughters i had 2 change. They wanted weaves, nails done and lipstick at like 3-4 yrs old and they would say "i wonna be beautiful like you" omg i started being more natural, natural hair, no nails, no make up. I don’t wear makeup, for special occasions I do and I hate being told omg you look so beautiful when I’m dressed up. Like yeah I am but you aren’t actually complimenting me!

Hi Patricia, I've left this comment many times in my head 😂 so here. You light up whenever you talk about money and you've opened up in several videos about your dilemma on how to start or deliver your finance content, wondering who will be interested, being afraid if it will come across as too serious versus the Patricia we know. Firstly, I am very interested and I know you have a very mature audience on here who will be interested too. Your fear is very valid. You obviously know that your subscribers here are used to the fashion, beauty, realness content and you're worried if this will deter people. It won't. The main reason is because your girls and guys want to save schmoneyyy! We want to learn how to invest and know how to be smart with our money and who better to teach us in a less intimidating way than Patricia? I can take online courses or read Rich Dad poor dad and all those books but I'd rather be on my couch and listen to Patricia break it down for me, and bring industry jargons to a closer level of understanding. The way you light up when you speak on this subject lets me know that you will deliver otherwise "boring stuff" in a way that no one else can. All you need to do is add the Patricia Bright sparkle on it. I'll tell you how. You don't need to do this on another channel. You've worked so hard on building this one, and only you know the effort it has taken you. Yes, your subscribers can easily join you on the other channel, but I would suggest keeping it all in one place for your sanity. Instead of compartmentalizing your subbies, compartmentalize your brain. Do this by picking one day of the week and releasing your finance-related video on this channel solely on that day. Your subscribers who are interested will watch on that day, and others can skip and wait till the next upload (I bet you soon enough, they will all join in). You said in one video that you've started the other channel but haven't finished setting it up, so that means you are already feeling the stress of dividing channels. To conclude, you mentioned (or I inferred) that when you eventually birth that finance content, you would like to do it in a way that is still very Patricia Bright, not too serious or anything. Here's what I think will help. Call it something fun, along the lines of "something SCHMONEYY" (where something represents a word of choice), or "SCHMONEY with Patricia". That way, it will be right on track with your personality, you won't feel out of character when filming and your audience will vibe along with it too. I really hope you see this. I should have probably sent it as an email 😭 We're looking forward to your schmoneyy talks, Patricia! All my love 😘
I love that you show your true beauty before you dive into the makeup. Not many are so brave. You're an amazing influencer. Keep doing what you're doing. Most of us love it.
I don't usually comment but one thing I love about her video's is how real she keeps it, like people will splash out including PB but she said it, she shops out of emotion rather than need... Love that its soo true! She's not trying to flaunt like it doesn't hurt her pocket sometimes, she keeps it real! Love you! Keep keeping it real and say it all how it is. ♥️🙌
Soo right Patricia, the comfort of waking up everyday and going out without enhancement is something I don't want to play with. Yes, makeup can be fun but not when it makes you want to hide a bit when you go without, a balance and moderation is key. Sometimes, some of us wear makeup, and additionals, so often that people may not recognize us easily without, but then you can't deny the pressure that everyday makeup is becoming the norm. ( It's a fine line to thread because makeup and the extras really do give some a boost of self esteem, it's just what it is)
Pat always been the realest, that’s why years later I’m still following. “Buying for emotions instead of need” that’s for the reminder, because now I will not buy that perfume that you so beautifully present at the beginning of the video because I’m looking at the 9 full bottles that perfumes that are on my dresser right now. I will not! Add another one.
The comment you made about enhancement is so true. I found to be comfortable within my own skin and being natural after realising that enhancements still didn’t make me feel any better.
Girl, emotional shopping is scary therapeutic, especially when it’s a sale and you get that promo code plus free shipping !! I feel like the sale makes me love the item more!!!
I really love how real you keep it. A lot of people can be really impressionable and social media doesn't help. There are a lot of times that I eye a high end foundation that is comparable to an affordable one but feel that the more expensive one is calling my name lol. It really pays to be true to ourselves!
You are an influence in my life. I happen to agree with almost everything you say. You are right when you say we have to think of ourselves and what we want and like. Sometimes it is hard, but you have to do it. Love your videos. You are so honest.
I’ll never forget when I got my sew in taken down and my hair stylist found an acrylic nail tip from like... weeks before... 👀 I’m glad other people find stuff in their bundles too! 😩
This video was super real!!!! I loved it! Self confidence is so important and definitely comes from within not physical appearances! You have to love yourself! Loved this video!!!! #blacksocialworker #blacktherapist #selfcare.
Love my nails. Having them done makes me feel dressed even when I'm not lol. But I understand. Side note/request: I would love and appreciate a 2019 fall fashion video. I've seen some but none done Patricia style 🙃
"The magic pill that's gonna change your life, because life goes on and if you don't love yourself you're just gonna find something else to have an issue with." *THIS IS WHY I AM HERE*
Yeah maybe she couldn't Review It yet when she made this video. But I'm like... That burnt red/Orange on her eyes... isn't it Wiggalize from Jackie ABH palette? I saw that colour in Jackie's video and I thought this will look stuuuning on Patricia's eyes too.
I just love you. I love how you restrained yourself from going too deep and dark calling things out. However, us outsiders need the real real every now and then. I’m old enough to know that everything I see on social media is not what it is. It’s all smoke and mirrors to sell a product. Everybody is selling SOMETHING. I too buy brands that others my have cancelled. I am trying to become a more conscious consumer, but if I tried to only buy from “good” brands, the research alone would take me down an endless rabbit hole. Keep up the great work. Keep doing you. And keep bringing us the real. 💖
Hi Patricia. Ive been subscribed for long time but at some moment this year I insubscribed from your channel. I was getting vibes of obsession with beauty and shopping and being perfect. Not being the best version of yourself, which is ok. But being perfect. It was disturbing and depressing. Through your insecurities and exessive luxury expenses in order to look cute. Then I saw not long after that how sad you were. I am glad you are spreading more awareness instead of focusing on yout flaws. You are beautiful, i hope you find peace with the least material things. Gurl you would look perfect even if you wear a plastic bag.
I love your spirit Patricia. You’re so funny, energetic, and just one of those people that never fail to put a smile on my face. Just thought you should know that ❤️

After Jamie and Nikki I wish the best for you and Mike.🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I think they will be fine , if you notice they don't vlog a lot ,plus Mike has his own separate job he is not a real youtuber.
Girl, emotional shopping is scary therapeutic, especially when it’s a sale and you get that promo code plus free shipping !! I feel like the sale makes me love the item more!!!
This is why we need to take a break from social media from time to time 😅
I really love how real you keep it. A lot of people can be really impressionable and social media doesn't help. There are a lot of times that I eye a high end foundation that is comparable to an affordable one but feel that the more expensive one is calling my name lol. It really pays to be true to ourselves!
I just asked myself this morning, “where is Patricia?” Then you post a video and I came running!!!!!
Absolutely love this and definitely feel as though a lot of your subscribers needed to hear this and deffo appreciate it
This is why I love you! Realest RUclipsr, period👏👏
Patricia!
I love your natural nails...you're too hard on yourself. You're gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing and being so entertaining.
Watching you all the way from South Africa. Love your channel. Thanks for keeping it real😘
Live for your straight up honest content! YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL and also your business side is so inspiring
You always make my day and bring a smile to my face just when I need it... great video! 😘❤️👍🏼
lol!!
TEA! Love how real this video is... so refreshing to hear coming from someone with such a big social media platform 🤩
you've gotten so good at doing your makeup now
This video was super real!!!!
"The magic pill that's gonna change your life, because life goes on and if you don't love yourself you're just gonna find something else to have an issue with." *THIS IS WHY I AM HERE*
Love from Washington, DC. The eyelash segment was hysterical... and had me shivering and laughing!
“If you dont love yourself youre just gunna find something else to have an issue with” YES
It's called retail therapy and it's a REAL THING. ❤
I APPRECIATE HONESTY SO MUCH
In a world where you can’t trust anyone, it’s refreshing to hear some TRUTH
So when we getting that Jackie ABH review 👀????
The way I clicked!!!!!
Love from South Africa Darrrrrling!!! 🇿🇦🇿🇦
she should really come to SOUTH A for a meet and greet
I'd attend the meet and greet if she'd ever come here. Hope she brings model Mike 😂

Hey makhi xoxo
So relatable....no time for nails with 3 kids running around and laundry....love from Zimbabwe
I love your spirit Patricia. You’re so funny, energetic, and just one of those people that never fail to put a smile on my face. Just thought you should know that ❤️
