Gratulation. Best description of all I checked out to this topic. Your technical explanations are excellent. These informations a technician wants to know. Many thanks!!
Thank you friend! I wish my video is useful.
Very nice mod. So we can still use Ch1 as usual, but have to supply 5v to that servo from Bec separately....
That is one thing inconvenience. But remote battery monitoring is super advantage. Have a safe flight!
I am not sure how Ch1 will be affected. The +ve pin of the B/Vcc (Bind) is being modded. After the rx is bound using a bind plug, the middle pin is what is used to sense the battery voltage.
The mod worked great for me! Though rather than wiring it to one of the servo terminals I just ran the wire out through the hole in front of the LED.
Thanks a bunch!
It's great! I'm glad you succeeded! Remote battery checking is a very essential feature. I believe this will greatly prevent unexpected situations.
Hi. That's too bad. I'm not sure but U2 (B62871) looks like DC-DC converter. I don't recommend you to not use your broken FS-iA6B receiver anymore.
I did the mod but even after soldering the wire and using it to connect to the batterys positive terminal it is giving me 0 volts? What should i do?
1. You need to check the ground level is matched. Both FS-iA6B receiver and BEC must be grounded together.
2. If both have same ground level, check short circuit of battery measurement terminal and ground terminal.
What max battery voltage it's can read? Tq
The ratio of voltage divider is about 0.204, and STM32 adc can read up to 3.3V. So the available Vbat is up to 16.17V (=3.3 / 0.204) as the calculation. But you should note that I have tried up to 12.6V. I don't guarantee 16.17V ;). And one more thing, you should still apply VIN from 4.0V to 8.4V for driving FS-i6.
Sir, you have not uploaded further videos of pid, is it paid or free or if it is paid let me know what actually the charge of full course in INR currency?
My STM32 drone programming from scratch course is free and the PID control starts from chapter 10.
If you connect iBUS using 4 wires TX and RX....to a UART, then ALL the telemetry including vbat will be available...Maybe not on that TX though...😳😳🤔... Without modifying anything...😏
Oh that's great idea. Actually I tried to search that way but I couldn't find the official iBus tx/rx protocol documentation. Can you share the information about that? It will be very helpful to my students.
