  • In todays video the Abbey 2300 slurry tanker is back! But back with the new addition of a Slurryquip 9.6m dribble bar! Time to put her to the test and see how she handles her retrofitted dribble bar. Me and Bro are off spreading for hire & we use the Trimble autosteer to get those perfect straight lines - oh so satisfying!
    Hope you enjoy, any questions hit me down in the comments below, thanks for watching! G'Luck

    Weld a small tab on top of the pipe behind the coupling, on the splitter piece. Then bring the handle so it’s running inline with the pipe. It’ll save the knuckles and a lot easier than trying to reach in over the splash plate

    We had a slurryquip 7.5m on our old 1600 Abbey tanker, great job...we upgraded this year to Slurryquip 2250 tanker with front mount 9.6m. Some job.

    Hi Phil. Just put a 90 degree bend about 100mm in on the manual handles for the gate valves and that ll avoid the hyd gate valve spring.

    How about getting a flow meter put on the tanker and linking it to the Trimble screen then you can down load the maps off the Trimble and give the farmer a map of where his slurry has been spread and at what rate. I know that would only work when you have it on the 6499 but there is the option of it did put on them

  • @TheElectricgamez
    @TheElectricgamez 2 года назад +9

    Since you don't have a big tanker and a overkill tractor infront of it, I don't think if it would bounce at the hitch would be a problem.
    I run a 6130R/6155R with a Peecon TZT 10000 (~2200 gallons) with a trailing shoe (on a 4pt linkage, probably much heavier) on the back and when empty it's near perfect balance when going over bumps it bounces but not to bad.
    having a screen that calculates your speed and records the amount of loads sounds great to have.
    great to see you filling the 6499 with screens :D
    loving the video's as always.

    phil you shouldnt put the auto matic stering in the 6290 because it takes away the oridinal look of the tractor yes it would save you time and money wiles using but it just doesnt look right on the tractor and i think some of your viewers would critisis you for that
