We have an older shark, got the slightly more expensive commercial version which mainly had a longer cord and larger tank. Used it heavily for a daycare business for 10 years and it’s still going strong. Good brand.

I have an earlier model Shark before the Stratos model, and it works similarly. It's an excellent vacuum cleaner.

@LaLa I've bought and tried several other vacs, and so far, Shark has beaten them . The ONLY other ones I like are the Rigid wet vac ones. Problem with them is : no agitator attachment for carpet vacuuming, but the suction is undiminished and superb.

Just got mine with the offer that comes with a free vapor mop and aome other accessories. I ve never owned any other brand so i am used to shark, this is the 3rd one i own. It is good but i will say that between the 3 this one is the heaviest!! Sooo we ll see if that s a real issue or not. It is also quite big compare to the others i ve had before which were powered lift away models too, also the cord has always been and still ia with this model too short and anouing when cleaning the walls and all. But i do still come back to these models . However i have to admit …I might go with dyson cordless next time .. now this is another budjet lol. Anyway i think it s a pretty good vacuum, it does suck in a good way!

Shark vacuums are really good, I can’t remember what one but it was so silent they had to make it make noise incase people didn’t think it was good because it was quiet lol

Newer sharks are great as long as you wash the filters off after about each empty (at least check them or your motor will die faster)

I think if you wanted a vacuum really decent with all types if flooring, you should pick the Stratos. For carpet cleaning performance, you should really try those Dyson uprights

I have and like this vacuum. However. The hose is way too short, and it's constructed from a very cheap, thin plastic material. I don't think it'll last long unless you treat delicately.

I love my shark stratos, but I agree about the hose. This hose is too short and not stretchy enough

This vacuum sucks so much it’s literally the worst thing I bought in 2 years. I’m the type that reads reviews so I went out and got a shark. After using it I realized people who gets sharks didn’t want to pay the price of a Dyson they they play this pretend game. They don’t want to return it and rock a cheap bissel so they stick with a poorly designed shark.
First I’ll say the good thing and that it sucks very well. Picks up sand and dirt great. That’s where the good ends. Shark fails at the most simple stuff. I quickly found out the cool lift away feature is not a feature it’s a design flaw. If you just use the hose and don’t remove the canister the entire vacuum tips over. You’re basically forced to use the lift away feature. I could have ignored this and probably still liked the vacuum. I could not ignore how easy it clogs. The spinner at the bottom is not what clogs it’s the hoses and straight plastic tube that clogs so easily. With the Christmas tree it didn’t matter how careful I was picking up any twigs or little stems with my hand the vacuum would clog up in a few seconds. I still have my Dyson for the garage because the hose part still works it’s the spinner at the bottom that broke. That old ass dyson sucks up the needles with no issues. It does t fall over when. I use the hose. Shake is some lazy ass engineering
