I really like the unique wood grains in these, they are a refreshing change from the flame tops and quilted tops like every one else is doing (although those generally look nice too). The storage in the body tool is great too, and the fact that the one tool (please control the urge to make tool jokes) can do everything is unique. From what I have seen of many of their prices, these are beautiful hand crafted instruments at a reasonable price.
There's definitely a difference between air-dried and kiln-dried woods. Whether or not it's "better" in an electric guitar I can't say, but the cells of the wood are definitely different between the 2 methods of drying.
I noticed the strings are wound around the pegs. That is unnecessary I believe. If you have locking tuners. Lineup the locking tuner holes to 12 o'clock 6 o'clock thread the string through clamp it down tighten it up stretch it and tune it should be turned to about five or 6 o'clock usually with no wraparound
The fret board is made of Wenge, pronounced 'When-gay'. No problem, you're welcome, I love wood but can't play a guitar... it takes all sorts to make the world go round 😁
The guitar sounds beautiful...Just one thing stopping me buying 1 right now...and that is the truss rod access is sitting on the 22nd fret!!! Surely that gets in the way when playing up there? I can't imagine why they put that there
About a month ago when I first checked their site, their links to their Reverb and English shops did not work properly either. I was able to decipher it and go to them by copying the correct web address in, but their redirects were not working like they should have. Wonder if they fixed that yet.
