Motivation wins out over strength and size. The cat was fighting for its lunch, the mink was fighting for its life.

I think the cat underestimated the size of the fight in that mink. It was amazing how even though the mink tried to escape, it turned the tables and went on the offensive. Those little things take no shit.

I've personally heard stories of bob cats fighting off packs of coyotes. Which is pretty insane.So that may give you a reference to how powerful a mink is to thwart off a bob cat.
