Fuck these guys were good. I couldn't count how many times I listened to this. Like on repeat for hours straight. Also the flip track Another Samba, where they do the self-deprecative version.
Their wordplay is mad, and all their songs are fun. No violence, no degradation of women, no rappin about how "hard" they are.

You guys were some of the first music I dug up when I started searching for my own taste in music and not just listening to everything that my classmates played, and ever since I've been listening to you. I've been rocking your stuff from middle school to college and I'll keep rocking it for the rest of my life. You guys are the real OGs.

This song along with the entire “Taste the secret” album goes so ridiculously crazy. I cant tell you how many manual labor shifts these tracks have gotten me through, just by being on repeat. Incredibly underrated artists.

I’ve been looking for this song for years. Finally found it, such a bop😊.
I first discovered Ugly Duckling through their song “Smack” being on Tony Hawk’s Project 8. I have relistened to their “Taste The Secret” album, and it has gotten through a lot of shifts at work just replaying the jingles in my head. Their sound is unique and funky, and this song proves it.

All their stuff is fun and done with great sound consideration. UD will always be in my rotation.

I know that a Samba is known as a Brazilian dance but I mentioned this on facebook and I'll mention it here, that from this song I think when people say "This is just a little Samba", it means that it is a small part of a majorly amazing performance, action, accomplishment, legacy or achievement.
