Just like any genre of music, there's a lot of crap out there. And for whatever reason, it catches the most attention and is what represents the genre on TV or on the radio. I think you'd be surprised how much you'd actually like 'hip hop' if you like UG. Just gotta search for the good stuff you enjoy - Regardless though, I'm glad you like this stuff. And I like your reasons for liking it, how they mix in the latin styles and what-not.
Isn't that "I like to let my rhymes flow" (around 1:28 or so) line a sample from one of PUtS's songs, too? Sounds awfully familiar. Would be pretty neat if it was.
