Yeah, when this event was active i just stopped bringing offerings. I got tunnelled so much that it reached a point where it wasn't worth it for me to bring them and i didn't want to risk getting tunnelled by a killer and rewarding them for it, by the end of the event i had hundreds of cakes on a single survivor which i only use when playing with friends. I still have over 700

John, we know you're talking about Heisenberg 😆. But he was meant to have a campy dramatic transatlantic accent i guess. Idk how much i can roast Neil, hes just too bloody nice. Matt mercer on the other hand, i only really heard of him recently and know him as thee handsome young man of bg3 but i know hes a big name.
I was more thinking of Nicholai, although I don't like Heisenberg either. I guess it makes sense since the two voices are practically the exact same lol
Lol I was about to come on here and mention Heisenberg, that one is mostly the accent choice but it really rubbed me the wrong way. Otherwise he's pretty perfect!
That Skull Merchant game just reminds me of that game where John just so happened to have on the perfect anti-Chess Merchant build and made their game hell for them right back, it was so cathartic lmao. Thank you for uploading this here too, John! The anniversary might not be hitting right, but I like that they're trying to shake things up a little and add in multiple changes for the event (even if the teleporting to hook removes the whole potential to struggle out/for a teammate to help free you, which is almost to Wraith levels of ignoring the gameplay lol). Tryx (or however it's spelled) is super annoying tho.
I appreciate you uploading these to youtube! For some reason when I try and rewatch VODs on twitch I can only watch for a few minutes before I get an error code and it makes me refresh, and it doesn't keep my place.

I think it’s interesting that you said RE fans aren’t the audience for dbd. I started playing dbd bc I heard that a bunch of my favorite characters from RE were in dbd. I know a lot of other people also started for similar reasons (being RE and Silent Hill fans)
I’m just speaking from my experience trying for years to introduce DBD to a primarily survival horror audience, who rejected it by majority. I got to read a lot of opinions on it and they were mostly lamenting the non-combat gamrplay

I’m so bummed I missed a stream:(. Yeah I hate that remote hook. Totally takes away from multiple survivor perks. Still have a good time playing the event with my friend and just have fun (when the killer isn’t being a dbag). Wish you played more John. I fantasize about getting into a random game with you one night.lol
Some of my favorite times watching you play this game is when there's moments of 'OMG is this going to work' like that time you played ghost face with that blood barrier perk when you hook someone and it played out perfectly, so much suspense! And I feel like they've basically removed a lot of those moments intentionally or unintentionally, which has made the game less fun, because they're concentrating so much on the wins and losses. I may be in the minority, but I'd rather play a game with a lot of suspense and action than a game where I can win a lot.
I've never gotten into DbD or really any co-op game but I'm debating giving this a chance. I recall John made a sorta DBD 101 starter guide video a while back. Maybe I'll watch it :D

First four games of anniversary; tunnels, camps, insta hooks. Running the events yet the typical "but us killers have it hard, players trolling and sabos" when not a single one did any of the games😂 tell them that and you hear "get good" okay buddy🥴
I feel like this game is really lacking compared to the game Friday the 13th were there’s 5 potential ways to escape. In this game you have to repair the generators and escape through a gate which because of this the monster character, can exploit that greatly and you almost never win a match. Even at low levels in Friday the 13th you have the ability to escape and you have several options of how to do to so. And even if I lost 5 games playing by both games I’m more interested in playing Friday the 13 because you have more chance in that game. It’s just so sad the game dropped off the earth basically, and all with have is this. Honestly tried playing this I cannot play this game it’s just really not satisfying for me.
I just really hate the generic cartoony voice tone they gave Tryks, it does not suit her design. The voice is very similar to many other games like hero shooters and mobas.
