So you were talking about a Rhino here you go Carpophorus stunned spectators on the first day of the Flavian Amphitheatre by easily defeating a bear, a leopard, and a lion. Later on that same day, Carpophorus is renowned for using his dependable spear to slay a rhinoceros. Some gladiatorial contests included animals such as bears, rhinos, tigers, elephants, and giraffes. Most often, hungry animals fought other hungry animals. But sometimes hungry animals fought against gladiators in contests called venation's ("wild beast hunts").
Sorry, but anyone who’s mad about the “No Church in the Wild” needle drop either: a) probably never listened to the song (which still holds up, great track) in its entirety, because if they did, they’d know it’s thematically identical to what Gladiator is (“what’s a king to a god / what’s a god to a king”, etc). Or b) probably forgot that some TV spots for the original (including a Super Bowl one) used Kid Rock’s “Bawitdaba” (I’m not joking).
White people complaining about hip hop in movie trailers a sound as old as time lol. If they played imagine dragons or linkin park nobody would be crying about it .
Can we as viewers just wait and judge the movie when actually comes out and see the whole story. The teaser trailer for original Gladiator featured Kid Rock. Let’s just calm down on thinking modern music will be in the actual movie. ruclips.net/video/Cg-MlozHvaM/видео.htmlsi=wdri19Is2ZG7RmjO
Rhinos are like cattle. If they're raised around humans, they're very docile. However, there were all kinds of animals that were used in the colosseum, including rhinos.
I honestly like the original concept where it was completely insane from that script that floated around the internet for years ago. Fighting Jesus lol
I just find it funny that Ridley Scott went to Paramount instead of sticking with Universal for the sequel. Now it makes sense why Wicked was moved up a week and will be released on the same day as Gladiator 2: This is Universal telling Ridley Scott, “Fuck you.”
This was an unnecessary sequel. It’s lazy and a waste of great actors like Denzel. Ridley don’t need to make this just make something new instead.😑 Why isn’t Lucius the emperor already?🤨
I thought this was a fake trailer at first. What tipped me off that this movie might be bad is that they put Denzel in the movie as Box Office Insurance. Big studios always do this when they think a movie will fail.
Eh, I never thought this was a good idea, but I love the movie and the time period in general. This doesn't have the feeling that so many of Ridley Scott's historical epics used to, authenticity. I don't think this will be one of his greats, but I also don't think it will be bad.
This is weird, but I normally don’t like legacy sequels. This looks good. It’s gonna be hard. Our people are going to get fucked up Pedro Pascal a bad guy you know he’s gonna get his fucking head cut off and they played Kid Rock with the first gladiator trailer nobody seems to remember that. Do I think this song sucks for the trailer absolutely but I can look past that. The movie looks dope as fuck. We’re literally cheering for a nobody actor in a Ridley Scott movie that’s probably a little too late, but to be honest of course that kid was gonna have a sequel. He got fucked over at some point. He always killers, Uncle or whoever I don’t know, this looks like it might be a legacy sequel
Whining about trailer music is pretty childish. They obviously want to bring in as wide an audience as possible. Also, maybe the song they chose is relevant to the story they’re telling. This is a historical epic based on actual people (Denzel’s character was a real person) and the history actually is pretty close to a modern gangster/mobster story.
This has to be one of the most unnecessary sequels ever made. It just feels like a cash grab, but I'll give it a watch when it hits streaming out of morbid curiosity than anything else.
The first film was some of Hans zimmers best work, how the hell is he not scoring this
I Think he knows why, we all know why.
No need for cgi battlefield

Did they ride rhinos?
@@chrisjherman They rode everything back then and I am not saying on there backs.

I liked “No Church in the Wild” and I know it will not be in the movie . Also This guy Chris should give
Pee-wee Herman back his voice
Its always amazing to me that people will hate on stuff with out actually seeing the movie first...
You've never disliked a trailer?
The song in the trailer "No Church in the Wild" was from the Denzel and Ryan Reynolds movie Safehouse.
White people complaining about hip hop in movie trailers a sound as old as time lol. If they played imagine dragons or linkin park nobody would be crying about it .
Any of those choices would’ve been just as ridiculous as the song in the trailer if not more so.
If it wasn’t for Denzel, I would be getting a lot of straight to DVD vibes.
Im into it, i like the cast and dig the spectacle of it.
That music lol. Should call it Gladiator 2 Romanic Boogaloo 🎶

Why does this exist?!?!
Rhinos are like cattle. If they're raised around humans, they're very docile. However, there were all kinds of animals that were used in the colosseum, including rhinos.
Is there a history of people riding them into combat? I've never heard of that before.
@@chrisjhermanbecause it never happend

This trailer gave me Assassin’s Creed vibes with the rap music. A clear sign of how out of touch these executives are.
ATP who keeps giving Ridley Scott chances? Dude is so hit and miss.
Rotten Rid just don’t know when to quit.
People are still going to movies?

Maybe because he is a good Actor.
I'll definitely go see it, but the music choice in the trailer really took me out, just didn't fit.

Highlander 1 and 2 effect much. Acclaimed first film, second film barely even tangentially relevant and bewildering to most.
We'll see if that's the case! Would be crazy if that's how this turns out. This trailer didn't really work for me, sadly.
Ridley has made shitty sequels to all the great movies that he made decades ago and stood as classics on their own.
This has to be one of the most unnecessary sequels ever made. It just feels like a cash grab, but I'll give it a watch when it hits streaming out of morbid curiosity than anything else.
ohh boy.Sir.Scott what the hell..back panther 3 gladiador..
naff music choice but looks incredible!!!!! Can't fucking wait.
