My lactation consultant told me today I may have it but my baby is in the Nicu so I’m honestly scared I bought otc anti fungal cream to stop it from spreading.
Hi! I just wash with a mild shampoo and gently rub the hair with a baby washcloth during bathtime. Sometimes I’ll rub some coconut oil on to her scalp at night. (Not medical advice, just what I do with my baby :) )
It is very good to keep using silverette cups it is anti bacterial but dunno if it is anyi fungal.currently suspecting that i have thrush and i will use the cups again
Thank you so much for the informative video. Sorry, it's unrelated but I really need to get your advice as I'm frustrated. I've watched your video about baby's hunger cues, but unfortunately most of the time I am still confused if my 3 months baby's really hungry or not (this issue has been existed from his birth upwards and most of the time even a short while after feeding he looks hungry). I'm trying to look for his hunger cues but most of the time he doesn't show any signs except crying . And sometimes even after breastfeeding for a long time like 30-40 min, he still sticks out his tongue and licks his lips. Sometimes he comes off the nipple and falls asleep after feeding and when I try to burp him on my shoulder, he wakes up again and turns his head side to side and rubs his face on my chest.. so I wonder why he does that. I do breastfeed him every 2 hours and he's feeding only for a 5 min actively but after that he takes long breaks and when I'm trying to take him off, he starts to suck for a 2 or 3 seconds and then stops and maybe falls asleep. And when he wakes up again he doesn't look satisfied. The other issue is, it's been for 2 weeks that when my baby is feeding, after 5 or 10 minutes of feeding he leaves the breast and screams and relatches and then after a second takes his mouth out again and gets fussy.. and sometimes even when I offer him the breast he does the same. I've tried changing his diaper(if it needs to be changed), burping him frequently and expressing some milk from the breast to make sure if the milk is coming, but they haven't helped. I'm trying to stretch the time between feedings but I guess since he's not drinking enough milk to get full so he'll become hungry quickly.
Hi mama. It sounds like you are doing all the right things and working so hard to feed your baby and identify feeding cues. Unfortunately, through this media I am not able to determine what may be going on with your baby. I think you would greatly benefit from working with a Lactation Consultant in your area who can observe your baby feeding and observe his behaviors during and after feedings, can weigh him before and after the feeding to help determine how much milk he is drinking at the breast, and someone who can look at the whole picture clinically to help you determine how feeding is going and to come up with a plan. I can tell that you are such a great mom and I really hope you find the help you need near you. You could also try talking to your baby's pediatrician for recommendations ❤
@@poojanabde3555 After having those issues with my baby's feeding for a long while, I could manage to see two lactation consultants. They figured out that unfortunately my baby has tongue tie and he's also suffering from reflux. Fortunately, afrer a procedure since of his tongue tie, his feeding has improved. I hope you also can find out that what is causing this issue to your little one and that'll be solved easily.
We are in it now. My baby started to refuse bottles, and since I was traveling to Disney I just EBF. Well, turns out that he .ost likely refused bottles because of discomfort from thrush. In the process of antibiotics for baby and possibly me needing some too. This is so frustrating 😑 😫
Awww mama. My heart goes out to you. It is such a pain in the butt to deal with and get rid of thrush, but you got this! You will come out the other side of this, and your baby and yourself will see better nursing days. Hugs!
@@KassiReyes Thanks! I found your videos looking info on nipple shields. The only thing that allowed me to continue nursing what the shield, otherwise the pain was horrid. Luckily I used it for that first week and he didn't seem to care, he is 7 months old though, and loves my boob, lol.
@@kristenlandon1538 yes! His pedia told me to give .2cc orally every 4hrs. It’s the pharmacist who told me he shouldn’t swallow it. Honestly i gave him 3 times and it’s gone.
Hey! You are probably pass this by now, but I still wanted to say what I’ve learned is, if you show no signs, it is important that you were taking probiotics so that your body can kill it before it becomes a problem. Hope you and baby got through it okay!
Hiiii I’m so tired of this My baby has been battling with thrush for more than a month He’s been taking nystatin through out, Plenty rashes on his face Is there any other remedy?

Do you have a video about Mastitis?
I know this is unrelated, but is there a cradle cap treatment you recommend??

Try squeezing have of a green lemon juice and add baking soda to the lemon ( not the squeezed juice) use that to rub the babies mouth 2 times a day
*Half
