Hi dear. 69yo ARMY here. BTS rarely use cgi and are known for their elaborate sets and locations. I believe "Not Today" was shot in a quarry. There's a behind the scenes video showing them shooting it. I've only seen parts of it though.
Oh, and I prefer you to react to one or two videos at a time. Perhaps the Official MV and then the dance practice video for it. Also how about some "BTS Funny Videos"? Just search BTS funny videos and see what comes up.

If you want to know why BTS is global artists apart from their music, lyrics and choreography it’s because of their personality, humility and goofiness. They are very dedicated to their fans and hardworking. I think watching some funny videos would help you in forming a deeper appreciation of them as artists and people.

Mic Drop was inspired by President Obama when did a mic drop after he roasted his haters at his last correspondence dinner! BTS were treated really badly by trolls online and by the music industry when they first started. So, this is one of their clap backs!
I was feeling really low today and watching your videos gave me a lift and cheered me up. You come across as genuine, with thoughtful comments and you seem to be ENJOYING the journey, and that's what I'm here for, to enjoy it with you.

This song was a flex against their haters. RM and Suga were both underground rappers. They received alot of hate from their peers when they became idols.
Take your time, see all you want, and enjoy it your way. The first time seeing BTS hits everyone different. You should do them in order and yeah, the dance practices and live version are something else!
Their Mic Drop performance on Saturday Night Live goes Hard AF. You should check that out if you can find it. Amazing all those guys on that little tiny stage and they killed it. Crowd went wild.

Since you really like Suga can you react to his Trilogy? They are under his solo name Agust D - Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala.
Awesome that you will be doing the guide. And I've seen a lot of reaction videos, and one of the ways I really like, is when a reactor will do a music video, then the live performance, and/or a dance performance of the same song. But you do it the way you are comfortable, because if you aren't comfortable, then you will not be enjoying this, and that is important. ARMY's want you to enjoy your BTS journey. And definitely take your time, there is no rush. There is 11 years of content, and you won't be getting it done in a few months, I guarantee that. Especially since they are still releasing music now, even though they are serving their mandatory military service. That's where all the solo content is coming from. And JIN, the eldest was just released from service and is releasing an album soon.

MIC Drop is a song to their haters, and the original is KOREAN language. This remix, the guys re-wrote a lot of the lyrics in English, but there are still Korean lyrics in J-HOPE and SUGA's raps and some of the lyrics.

There is indeed an original version of Mic Drop with mostly Korean lyrics unlike the remix which has mostly English lyrics. I like the Korean version (especially the lyrics) more but it doesn't have a MV like you mentioned.
And there is also a Japanese version. I don't know how they don't confuse the versions when they perform live.
I like the original version better too, it does have a really cool dance practice though
Hey, I'm back in the future! Thanks for listening to the feedback and adapting, and watching Taylor's guide. We love watching it, even though it's pretty out of date by now. For example, all the records that were set for number of streams per song got totally blown out of the water by their later solo songs. JK's song Seven has something like a billion streams already.
I love Not Today! It was one of the videos that made me an ARMY, even though I thought that I didn't like rap (I'd start the video after the rap bits were done, just to get to the anthem part.) It's RM walking through the garage. Did you catch the paraphrase of the Martin Luther King quote? ( If you can't fly, run. If you can't run, walk, etc. ) No green screen here--it's a real quarry in South Korea, and that shiny surface that they are dancing on is some kind of industrial material. The percussion on this is amazing-- I love the place at 9:02 in your video where they double up on the drums. There's a behind the scenes shooting sketch of this that shows how they shot it. (Not sure why part of this paragraph shows a strikeout--hope it shows up okay to read).
Mic Drop: Steve Aoki is a big friend to BTS. In Suga's documentary on the making of his D-Day album he stops by to visit Steve's house and it's full of imagery of BTS. The live version of Mic Drop has a couple of dance breaks that are very high-energy. Watch the 2022 concert in Busan--they do Mic Drop and RunBTS together. (Run BTS is not the same as Run, that you like so well. It was a new song in 2022).
Dope: This is from 2015, so everyone is a lot younger. I love the sax in this (has anyone mentioned that RM 's military assignment is in the band playing sax?). The different outfits represent all their real work that they do, as opposed to the folks out clubbing. The references to "given up on 3? given up on 5?" is about the young generation that is so economically squeezed in South Korea, that they can't afford these 3 things (dating, marriage, kids) or these 5 things (adding in a house and even a good job). So BTS are saying that they will keep working really hard, even against these odds, because they are determined to succeed. Given the near bankrupt state of BigHit at that time, this was not hyperbole.
Solos: if you start with Jin, please do the Astronaut (do both the MV and the live performance with ColdPlay where Jin flew to Buenos Aires. remember to include Chris Martin's introduction of Jin, it's very heart-warming). Also, Epiphany live (the one in Osaka is beautiful). Abyss is about his feelings during the pandemic, Tonight (song of sorrow on the death of his pets). It's not solo work, but Jin excels in singing in Japanese, so his parts of Your Eyes Tell and Film Out are beautiful. His part of their Fix You cover is gorgeous too. And then there's Super Tuna: released as a joke and beloved by ARMY everywhere. Because Jin went into the military first, he didn't have much time to develop solo work, but he's been discharged 3 weeks ago and is working on an album now.
Solo Suga goes by AgustD (Taylor's guide will explain that), and his trilogy is amazing: Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala. Daechwita was on a mixtape of his, originally released on Soundcloud for free, and he made the video at his own expense and released that for free also. The content is an allegory for his mental issues, which he also explores in The Last, Nevermind, and some others. He's very frank about mental health, which is very much NOT discussed in South Korea. He's worked through most of this now and says that he's much better now that he's through his 20s. But my personal favorite song of his is Snooze. There's no official MV, but Elissa has made a very good fan-made video using content from the Disney documentary on the making of his D-Day album, including the footage of his meeting in Japan with Ryiuchi Sakamoto who did the piano score. Kim Woosung of the Rose group did the chorus vocals, and his voice is haunting. Woosung is AKA Sammy Kim from California, and don't get me started on the number of Korean-American kids who went to Korea to make it big because Asian-American artists get no respect in the US.
JHope: More, Arson, Just Dance (nice live version from Osaka in 2019), Mama, his whole set from Lollapalooza in summer of 2022, and also I love his verse from Outro: Tear (live at wembley--he just kills it). Someone said that JHope is emotion in motion.

You should react to Seesaw-BTS. It’s a solo song of Sugas under BTS’s discography (like singularity). Suga actually sings in that song + rap so it’s a change of what’s usual for Suga.

12:41 the second rapper is suga. and fun fact: in a lot of their songs, these two, suga and jhope, will rap back to back.. sometimes, jhope rap his last bar and suga will start his rap with that same bar (example: Mic Drop and ON)

You could react to each members solo work in the order we place them for most things which is the leader, then all of the other members by age from oldest to youngest or go in the opposite direction. RM-Kim Namjoon is the leader of the group and from oldest to youngest would be Jin-Kim Seokjin, Suga aka AgustD-Min Yoongi, J-Hope-Jung Hoseok, Jimin-Park Jimin, V-Kim Taehyung, Jungkook-Jeon Jungkook. They all have phenomenal solo work, unfortunately a lot of their solo work does not include MV’s so I’ve provided a few suggestions here that either have MV’s or performances that won’t get blocked.

Please, please don’t let fans tell you how to do your own reactions. There were some points made that most fans would agree with, (example: try not to talk over the video) but you should do this journey your own way. We all find BTS at our own time and in our own way. 💜

You ‘must’ check out SUGA. He’s genius and the superb rapper, song writer. He just spits out bars one after the other. Even the sounds he makes between raps, like ‘uh, arrr, etc’ sounds so good. His ‘Agust D 1, song, Datchwita,pls check them out!
Information wise you need to do the Taylor guide what time will you i'd avoid the individual guides because they are made by solo fans Army is BTS's core fan base if your army you have your basis which is the member or members that you most connected with turn Army loves all seven members of BTS. Except fake Army or solo fans love one of the members and oftentimes disrespect the others or complain about them not going solo completely which is not going to happen. It's cool to do September video by there will be a lot more than 7 videos all six of the members who have solo albums most of them are on the second round of albums the first members to go in the military jin did not have time to finish his first album before leaving so he's working on it now so you will only find I think two or three music videos for him
You REALLY need to listen to Agust-D (Suga's other stage name/alias), especially Daechwita and Haegum... plus J-Hope's solo work, like More or Arson.

Pausing also helps you not get utube strikes. People may not like it But U Tube has a nasty habit of letting you build up a backlog of content then giving you retroactive strikes and then taking your money for them going forward .... so yes regardless.... pause and comment.

I admit i'm a little confused why you will switch to solo songs before you've watched all of the group MV's as I thought that was your plan to watch them all. You've not seen Boy In Love, War of Hormone, Idol, Boy With Love, Make it Right, Bulletproof Eternal, Lights, Stay Gold, Airplane pt2 and Film out. I'm not trying to demand anything as it's your channel so do things the way you want but I thought the aim was to watch all the group MV's first before venturing into new areas. like solo's, b'sides, dance practice, lives etc
Well Yes and no technically that wasn't really the plan I just that would've been the best way to do it, but the way I was doing it made it feel to other people that I was trying to rush through their discography and not understand different eras so I decided I'm going to change it up when it comes to their group music, but I said in this one I wanted to start putting in a couple solo things because that seems more separated from their group songs so It'll be different, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing group things that will be coming out aswell but just in a different form.
