another one, but an Awesome history animator fact: the scene 6:45 of Pomni stretching her arms and her legs shrinking between two trucks is a reference to Scrat at the end of the climax in Ice Age 2 made by Blue Sky Studios, which is more of a coincidence as the lead animator of "The Amazing Digital Circus", Kevin Temmer, as indeed an employee animator at the sadly now defunct Blue Sky Studios (the same animation studio who created Ice Age franchise, Rio, The Peanuts Movie and many more!) working on only 3 movies : Ice Age 5, Ferdinand and Spies in Disguise!
      Pretty cool, right?

To answer your question about the teapot, that teapot is a very important piece of history in the CG industry. It originates from the University of Utah and was created by Martin Newell for the University's computer graphics program. He needed a household object to show off the capabilities of the rendering engine the University created and his wife suggested that he recreate a teapot that they owned. Other University's from around the world would later use the teapot's geometry (since Martin provided the location for all the vertices that make up the teapot model) in their own rendering showcases.
Nowadays the teapot is typically used when testing out things like lighting or texture materials in a rendering engine since using a "simple" model makes your testing and iterating faster. Or in some cases it's just used as a neat little reference. I don't know if The Amazing Digital Circus is using the original teapot model or not though since it's a little difficult to work with due to it's age.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2I agree. There’s a moment right before Kaufmo’s funeral where it shows Jax’s expression fall into sadness and grief for just a split second before putting on a mask of being angry and leaving. It really does seem like he’s suffering but is lashing out at everyone around him to both hide his actual feelings and to keep himself entertained and sane. He is an outright dick though, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns into a tragic antagonist. Some people are claiming he’s outright evil in the second episode but that he was a funny jerk in the first, but I’d argue that his actions in this episode are pretty in line with the first, just played up slightly less for humor. He torments others to distract himself, and it feels more like he’s doubling down on his facade as it cracks, instead of actually getting much worse.

It's funny, I liked the pilot for The Amazing Digital Circus, and while I was kind of obsessed with it for a while, it was mostly because I really liked the animation, and also I liked the potential the pilot offered. What I'm getting at is that TADC's pilot was already high quality, and yet I'm floored by how much more I liked the second episode; it had better writing, better character development, capitalizing on the already fantastic animation, voice acting, and music, and just really hitting you where it hurts when it came to Gummigoo. I was seriously not expecting to be this emotionally invested in this series after only the second episode, to say nothing of how shocked I am that the series would tackle such heavy subject matter in, again, only it's second episode. I'm... well, amazed. Count my a diehard TADC fan now!

  • @TheRhuen
    @TheRhuen 15 дней назад

the sad thing about the funerals is, and maybe why Jax rolled his eyes at them, is they are basically writing off those people as "gone forever" when in reality their minds are lost in internal reflection chaos "abstraction" that caused their digital avatars to go "feral" and glitching. In reality such people could be treated, taken care of in a mental hospital etc...however Caine does not understand humans or their actual needs so treats them as "not players anymore" and just moves them out of sight and out of mind. So too bad a psychologist never ends up there and convinces Caine to set up a cozier and more mental health friendly environment other than dark wet pit. Which is made even worse when we remember Caine may be who caused Kaufmo to go insane, given Pomni's experience and what Kaufmo wrote on his walls. Kaufmo was tracking down the exit doors, going through them, possibly even going into the void only for Caine to keep bringing him back *Kaufmo wrote as much on the wall near with a drawing of Caine*, causing Kaufmo to become obsessed and keep trying and possibly planning a who knows how many attempts later in his room till he just completely lost it in how futile it was while believing he was just so close to escaping before Caine would pull him back.

This was quite the Improvement from last Episode, how wild can this get?
By the way, how about doing the Gildedguy Series or Epithet Erased too at some point?
    Anyway, about the Episode itself,
I’d say having this Episode take place just the Day after the Pilot is pretty fair,
since, assuming that they do Adventures every Day, this would be Pomni’s Actual First Adventure, since she didn’t actually partake in the one meant for her when she first arrived, even though like i said she was only part of it halfway,
Also, it also made the Funeral Scene at the end feel more fitting, by the way about that Scene, I find it very interesting that Jax ended up not being part of the Funeral and who he was not featured amongst the Hands that prevented Pomni’s Metaphorical Fall, now that part could just be due to him not being part of the Funeral, but considering what the Curators has said about Jax, i think it’s a detail that’s worth keeping in mind for the Future.
Anyway, with all of that now being out of the way, i am now left wondering:
Will every Episode take place just the Day after the Previous One or could we expect Episodes to have at least a couple of Days in between them from now on?
Will Pomni get out of the Adventure and into some kind of Out of bounds moment every Episode? If so, while that would be interesting, I would appreciate to see at least one Episode where Pomni stays in the Adventure all the way through, because I don’t think we need a Out-of-Bounds Moment every time to make a Episode worthwhile.
On to of that, will Pomni bond with more NPCs in one way or another and will she end up having them learn something about themselves too?
I also wonder if we’ll ever get to see Loo and Gummigoo again? Now, I am aware that the Candy Canyon Kingdom was probably just meant to be for this Episode, hence why it was sent off the way it did, still I would like to see some kind of Aftermath to what Jax did.
Also, i wonder if we’ll ever get to a point in time where Pomni won’t stutter all the time or at least not when it counts? If so, i will look forward to see what might lead us there.
Anyway, regardless of it all, this Episode has made me even more excited to see how this Show will play out, I can’t wait for more Episodes.
What do any of you think?

An observation, I think Pomni doesn't fully realize their bodies obey toon logic and can't normally be hurt in these "games", probably because her first day there she saw Ragatha being hurt and was hurt herself thanks to the glitch caused by someone Abstracting. Its like first day being a toon and you step in "dip" so get gunshy about anything that would normally cause pain or death after that.

Not sure if this is a thing in every game, but at the very least many games have hidden Developer's Room, which contains every single asset the current map uses, which includes inactive NPC character model dolls.
Some Dev Rooms also double as Admin Rooms where the game admin staff can meet up and gather and bring players to for a private talk down if need be. If you remember from Internet Historian's Fallout 76 video, there was a case of players figuring out ways to glitch into the Dev Room and stealing all the most powerful and expensive stuff over and over.
As for how Pomni ended up there and got out of there in the first place, it was essentially a simple object collision glitch where the game's physics engine can't handle the collisions properly, which sometimes leads either into one of the objects launching at super speeds, or glitching through another object, or sometimes, the very floor of the map. For example GTA5 is notorious for all sorts of collision glitches, launches and warps.
These glitches are sometimes easily duplicateable, which makes them useful for speedrunning, allowing players to move out of bounds, or skip through entire gameplay sequences.
