  • Plastic Dip is an awesome product, but if it has been applied too thin it is a real pain to remove.

I'm really annoyed that you didn't do a 17-minute intro explaining how the plastidip was applied, about weather in Australia, and about all the methods that didn't work. How do you expect to be successful on this platform with such straight-forward and concise videos? Geez.

Just finished removing the plasti dip from my rims. I bought some kerosene at Lowes for about 11 bucks, and used a paint brush to work it in.
After getting 90% off, I put some kerosene in a spray bottle, and went to a diy car wash. Total time: 2 hours. Done and DONE. Thanks!

WORKS AS ADVERTISED!!! Just did my whole 1999 Toyota Corolla (YES THE WHOLE CAR 3 year old thick plasti dip job) using this method and it took like an hour. I used a soft bristle car wash brush to swirl the Kerosene around and a towel to wipe it off. Didn't bother the paint under it at all. The day before I wasted like 6 hours trying the Goo Gone and a power washer and it just made a huge mess!!! Came across this video and it worked just like you see here. THANKS BRO you saved me so much time and effort... Genius!!!

Thanks so much 😊 Yesterday i spent literally 4 hours getting badly sprayed plastidip off the first wheel from a car I just bought, Today - just 1 hour and the next rim is done 😊 mine are really bad because the entire wheel inside and out is lightly sprayed and baked on but I reckon for a normal Plastidip removal this would work a treat. Brilliant

Nice! It's about time I did mine as well. I've had good results with Goo-Gone. I also have plasti dipped bumpers, those are plastic, so I'm not going to use this to remove the plasti dip as I don't want my plastic bumpers affected. But it's peeling pretty good from there.

How I wish I saw this vid 2 days ago! I ended up using Desovit from Bunnings.. it's a "goo remover".. worked but much slower... it softened the plastidip, then I used a plastic razor blade to scrap the bulk away, then a rag soaked in desolvit to remove the rest. I think your way would have been MUCH faster and less labour intensive. Well done!

Legit. If you look at all the how to remove PD tutorials- this is the only liquid solvent that actually dissolves PD, vs weaken PD to assist in peeling off.
