      Don’t be afraid to experiment with replacement materials or accords that equal replacement of the material in question. I find it works quite nicely in most cases if you choose wisely, using goodscents or some equivalent resource to nail the organoleptic descriptive order of perception of what you’re replacing. Obviously this isn’t always possible but it is a great learning exercise and will help give you confidence when going forward and working on your own ideas.

      @@2ndAveScents On point! My stack exceeds 400 materials and and I rarely discover a formula that is fully covered. The sources you mentioned plus the already acquired knowledge allow for proper replacements and even playful modifications. It´s so much fun! Besides the occasional happy little accident (reference intended)...

    • @RyanParfums
      @RyanParfums  Месяц назад

      I have. But I haven't tried it many times. The sound really scares my dog, so I need to do it in my garage :-). I should do an a/b test then do a video on it. What's nice about my ultrasonic machine is that it heats water as well, further increasing the speed of chemical reactions in the submerged bottles.

    That is a harsh cleaning product level of lime eo. Watching those ~10 drops of lime go in there was difficult. Does it smell like a harsh cleaning product?

    • @RyanParfums
      @RyanParfums  Месяц назад

      It does not. Looking at my formula database, Louis Vuitton’s city of Stars has a similar amount of lime, as does Guerlain Vetiver and Creed Royal Oud.

    • @SeedKreations
      @SeedKreations 27 дней назад

      that harsh cleaning smell comes from lime that is distilled. the cold pressed one has an elegant, juicy smell more suited to fine perfumery.

    If you put 1g of 10% ambroxan dilution that's only .1g of actual ambroxan? Man this stuff must be extremely powerful. I've been adding actual crystals to bottles i already have. And you used way less than 1g
    Also, if they are using such small amounts of thhese ingredients, it must not cost much at all to make these fragrances once they have the formula figured out and buy all the ingredients in bulk

    • @RyanParfums
      @RyanParfums  Месяц назад

      Yah, you don’t need much! And yes, the ingredient cost for fragrances is usually pretty low. But then they need to cover the cost of packaging, marketing, distribution, and recoup losses from previous fragrances that didn’t make any money - and that’s before the retail markup 😳

    • @RyanParfums
      @RyanParfums  Месяц назад +2

      This question doesn’t make sense. The formula is the formula. You can choose the concentration. It smells good at 20% concentrate, so it could be diluted to an EDP concentration.
