Hi! Congratulations for the excellent video. I noticed that the Image component doesn't have an action to clear the contents or delete the table record if the image is linked. Do you know how I can solve this problem?

However, one tutorial request. Could you please explain how the screen canvas/view works? The backgrounds? I don’t quite get them as I don’t know how they work in relation to the elements within them when it comes to responsive design. Also for screens that have a lot of data, just lengthening the base of my screen all I have to do? What happens if I lengthen the bottom of my screen but don’t put any data in it? What about if I pulled out from the bottom right corner and made the screen size much larger?
I’m just trying to get my head around how to use the screens/canvases properly. Especially when it comes to different screen sizes and how to keep elements in positions I want them to be after a screen is at a different size.
Yes this is IMHO the most frustrating aspect of Adalo and the forum has several really good resources on tips and tricks for this. Also, legendary Adalo-er TonyD has good advice in his video here: ruclips.net/video/ygDappQsYYg/видео.html
how can we add tracking system design for app in adalo?
i am planning a app but i am worried if i add too many functionalities like search bar with larger database it might end slowing my app. can someone please guide how much database adalo can handle with ease so i can plan accordingly?

Would it be possible to do it with data that is already in my data base?
Yes, but you would need to go back in and either manually add the Search Index data, or create a bulk update feature within the app to update all the records at once.
@@pford Just to confirm, does this mean the Search Index data needs to contain both the Title and Long description or whole chapter of a book?
@@LalremlienNeitham If you want them to be able to search anything within the whole chapter of the book, then yes.
wanting to make a search bar?
1. Drag one in
2. Select the list you want to search through
3. Add a custom filter to the list, then make the first option whatever you'd be searching for, and then just click 'CONTAINS', whatever the user input is i.e.. 'users search input'
Hi Patrick. Do you know how to count something daily. I want to count the number of times a user taps a button and display it every day. eg: Number of Sales for today
The tap of button would just be a number field in the User's record, but the Sales today is a bit different I would think, because you would technically be counting records in a collection probably.
I am new to this. I wanted to ask, can I implement my own API in the app? Or is there a way to build a video conferencing app using Adalo?
you can connect to your own API. I have a website that I built with tons of APIs and Adalo can use them like a data-source. There are a few limitations, like auto-update which is only available on the built in database. So in that case, you could build a cron to update their databsae with their collection api. It's amazing!

Do you know how can i just make a button with multiple filter to search a product, not just writing in the Input Search, just clicking that button and search by filtering the price, category, city, etc?
I mean, I created already the product and all the collections but if a user wants to search a product by entering in the app and they just want to filtering the products by city, category, etc, but instead of writing it, clicking in the filter button and choose the results that they are looking for.

What if I wanted to use a CARD LIST w search? I followed the steps above but the custom filter within the card list doesn’t have the option to select USER like in the video. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
The preset lists can have certain limitations depending on which one you're using. Try using a custom list instead.
Hello! Is there any way that I can count the specific properties on the list? Not just the "records" but the record with a certain category.
If i understand correctly, yes you can add a custom filter to only see the records where a certain property matches given conditions.

Any ideas on searching by keywords? Tried to create a collection of keywords and built a M-M relationship with a topic collection (a topic can have many keywords, and a keyword can have many topics) but magic text doesn't seem to recognize M-M relationships.
Also, I implemented this in the context of a library of information and now the user can no longer see the long list of information before they search. I have a multitude of topics with names and categories and wanted to have just one search bar for topic and category to filter through the information below, but now the information is no longer there when you go to search?
Yes, magic text requires specifying one specific property of a collection. In that case you need a list of topics and a dropdown of keywords for the user to select from. The filter the list of topics by the dropdowns value.
You can also use a search yes, but a list can only have one collection tied to it so you would need a list of keywords and a list of topics.
I noticed in the final last minute of this video that, although there is no text in the search area, the listing that is showed does not contain the all items. Did you notice that Patrick?
Yes this is because the search is evaluating if the search index contains a space. There were already records in the database whose search index is technically "empty" (a space counts as a character) Good catch!
