So this will be the Model of R&R moving forward...Whoever owns the name of the band will basically offer it for lease to a group of musicians.and collect a royalty.... Of course only certain bands will be able to do it...Kiss...Journey...Foreigner...REO...STYX..etc...but we will see more of this for sure...
@@jerryhuffar6561 There is already lots of conversation here and even articles written on your comment. Bottom line, people that are seeing them live obviously don't think that or much less care. Their singer jas been with them 20 years now. As long as Gramm.
This place looks so much like Pine Knob in Clarkston MI. That's where I saw them last night. It was pretty good but not as good as when Lou was with them. Kelly talked too much. With allof that talking and long solos they could have done a few more songs. Thanks for not zooming in and out.
Yes, but the band is great and sounded amazing. Kelly Hansen had the crowd in the palm of his hand. After 46 years, you gotta be thankful. More video to come.
We were discussing this too. Jones could technically pull the plug on Foreigner anytime but what's the point now. It's a farewell tour. The same could be said about a lot of older bands now even with only one original member in my opinion. They still sound great and obviously people are okay with it as you can tell from the packed venue. Enjoy the moments while they last. There are many great musicians that are aging.
The only good thing about them retiring is I will never have to see some Einstein post another tribute band comment Kelly has been the singer for 20 freaking years every fan knows Lou isn't the singer now and hasn't been able to do a full huge tour for decades it's not some new thing. Mick can do whatever he wants with the band if your band survives close to 50 years members change people pass away unfortunately. You don't just get credit being in the band if you were there during the platinum years. These guys work their ass off they are part of Foreigners longevity they are introducing the band to a new generation allowing parents and grandparents to go with their kids. You don't like it don't go to the show and why are you watching the videos you enjoy self torture. Kelly is awesome he does the songs Lou sang justice keeps them alive the rest of the line up Jeff Pilson are world class players.I think Mick has done the best thing for the band he was part of founding and controls
@@michaelyatsco1958 Well stated! Thank you! I was at this show and it was incredible! Full house and most everyone was up. Kelly is a perfect front man for Foreigner. At 20 years, he's been with them as long as Lou. So it comes down to veteran members or founding members. I recently read an article about this same topic at their St. Louis show. The author basically stated the same thing. That the crowd didn't seem to mind because the music and performance was great. Bottom line, that's the agreement one makes when they purchase a ticket and go to a show. The article also mentions some other aging bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Loverboy who have a mix of band members now but people are still supporting them. It's like paying to see Robert Plant on a solo tour and complaining it's not Led Zeppelin.
@@michaelyatsco1958 thank you for referring to me as an Einstein. Yes, my IQ is off the charts for a 62 year old. Your novel you just wrote was totally unnecessary though just because your favorite band got stepped on by the truth. My favorite band of all time was Boston and even though Tom Sholtz was 99% of the band, if he retires (and it looks like he has), I hope they never go back on the road as a cover band. My point was that there needs to be one original member left on stage to use the name. Journey still has Neal Schon, Kansas still has 3 surviving members on stage, Loverboy still has a couple, Styx still has Tommy and JT. Foreigner (who was one of my top 3 bands) has none now. Is their music still on point? Yes, but that's still beside the point that not one original member who is still alive is on stage.

@@class5bodyworksOh yes, and written soooo many hits for Foreigner...I'm shocked.

Pretty good tribute band
Wait who the hell is this the imposters live
Lou Gramm was foreigner. He made this band.
He didn't write all the songs however.
I was at this exact concert! It was so good!
We saw them recently excellent show as good as when i saw them years ago. This cover band as many call them may sound better than years ago.🤷🏻
Thank you. A voice of reason. I keep seeing these haters popping up about them being a cover band. Saw this show in Indy. Sound fantastic
Kelley is foreigner.
Who is Kelley?
Not one single original member left. This is basically a cover band

Farewell posers! Now write a book on how you pretended to be legendary rock band.
I think the farewll tour happened years ago!! These arent even the original members!! This is just a cover band!!
They sound better live lol! Not a cover band they introduced everybody in the band I was there seeing it!
