I love how people say they like the FGL version better because it's the country version and they like country music. I guess they don't realize that Black Stone Cherry is southern rock and probably have more of a southern influence in their music than anything FGL has put out.
This is a great song, and I do like this band a lot. Been a fan for years. But FGL's cover blows this one out of the water. It aint often a cover sounds better than the original, but this is definitely one of them. The whole sound that FGL put into it has far more emotion in the vocals and the music better fits the lyrics. Just one mans opinion, after reading through the comments and laughing at a lot of them I can tell it is pretty split between the two bands

I love how people say they like the FGL version better because it's the country version and they like country music. I guess they don't realize that Black Stone Cherry is southern rock and probably have more of a southern influence in their music than anything FGL has put out.

This is a great song, and I do like this band a lot. Been a fan for years.
But FGL's cover blows this one out of the water. It aint often a cover sounds better than the original, but this is definitely one of them. The whole sound that FGL put into it has far more emotion in the vocals and the music better fits the lyrics.
Just one mans opinion, after reading through the comments and laughing at a lot of them I can tell it is pretty split between the two bands
I thought the same about Daruis Rucker's cover of Wagon Wheel... He did a much better job. I think there are a lot of covers that are better.
I honestly think that this one is better and I like both versions. However, FGL changed the words to the chorus. They didn't put more emotion into the words than Chris did. Also, I believe you mean it isn't often a cover sounds better. :)
Haileigh Noll Right, they did a cover. Meaning they took the original song and made it their own, and in this case for me, made it better. And no you believe wrong cause I meant it aint often it sounds better, thanks for lookin out though! ;)

what is up with all this crap about hating on Florida Georgia Line? you don't appreciate a great newcomer in the world of country music. they have idols like Hank Jr and Drake (like they mention in their song "This Is How We Roll" that they sing with Luke Bryan).
