@@abbassaab5272 No, it's more that this was just an "I hate my wife" comment which is one of the stereotypical boomer jokes. I was using "ok boomer" as less of a way of making people laugh and more to express my annoyance at this unfunny, sexist joke.
EarthWyrm Gaming Way to ignore DGR’s personal relationship with his wife riling things up knowing she’ll get a chance to respond equally in kind. Lets just pretend its some stranger and pc it up in a shallow and afraid to offend or get to know way.
Man, I played this so often when I was young that I have a lot of these characters' dialogues memorized. I knew you'd get a kick out of the "which way is west" kid, and that the Pawnee girl wouldn't want to trade with you while the Pawnee guy would beg you to trade.
One time I was playing this and to be exact, I finished this whole game from BEG to END in 35 minutes, I did not stop, my wagon's pace was fast (Gruesome) and Meager for food, had 110 LBS of food left, no one died, I got lucky and no one had any ailments or illnesses, and my final score (My occupation was teacher) and my final score was 1,750,690. But yea, I got extremely lucky on the no illnesses part, AND ALSO the deepest river I have ever successfully forged was an 12 feet deep river (I dunno how I accidentally pressed: "Ford The River" and so I was like: "Crap, I fuc*ked up" but then a minute later I was across the river and I was shocked as hell) But yea, one great game, I remembered that I first played this game at my local library in Florida LOL.
Fun fact, one of the sub-generational names for people who fall on the cusp between Gen-X and Millennials is "the Oregon Trail Generation," because playing it was such a cultural touchstone in American classrooms. I'm going to see if I can find this somewhere.
P-Daddy: you should have left from Kanesville. There isn't even a Kanesville anymore. Now, it's just a street in the city that was once called Kanesville.
I see this video and I'm like cool. Dave can do this. Sees the 12+ a day and my heart goes oh no. Then sees the river crossing. WELP! I think I'm going to stay home instead of going on the trail. And that is a DGR guarantee. LOL You are awesome Dave
No way! His intro is him responding to my comment during the livestream :) He kept losing bacon in the river and I thought it was hilarious to imagine some lucky guy finding it all
My mom had me play this game on Facebook once for history class when I was young (I was home schooled, so she was my teacher). I named the people after my IRL family and myself, and cried after one too many had died. She didn't make me finish the game.
9:00 my question is not why they are loosing so much bacon to rivers but it is WHY DO YOU RISK SO MUCH BACON WE'VE LOST SO MANY INNOCENT BACON LIVES like if you love bacon
What's interesting is even though Ewoks are on Endor not Naboo, C-3PO actually says the word "naboo" while talking to the ewoks and George Lucas later used that as the name for the planet.

Dave I'm pretty sure Amanda would've much rather not die of internal injuries 😅 just saying, but what u did (taking care of the widows) is good too 😝😂 DGR 5ever (cuz 5 is greater than 4)

As a person that lives near the Des Moines River, hearing Dave try to say it is extremely funny. Haha
For me, it was the same situation, but with Willamette.
Is it pronounced like "de moin"?
@@RiftBrawl I think so, except the first word is pronounced "day", because it sounds French.
Yeah, I thought so too, but to be fair, that's how I pronounced it before I knew better.
DGR "took Care" of the widows... Are we sure Amanda's death was an accident??
Robert Crane it was no accident
Oh no...
Bruh
Suspicious very suspicious, eh?
Hmm most curious, Lol gave u ur 69th like

Nagging down 200%
Wife starts nagging
Masterful Lolz
Whenever I play this I like to name the people after ways they can die. Dysentery; drowning; starving etc.
Man, I played this so often when I was young that I have a lot of these characters' dialogues memorized. I knew you'd get a kick out of the "which way is west" kid, and that the Pawnee girl wouldn't want to trade with you while the Pawnee guy would beg you to trade.
DGR: "Nobody dies from Cholera"
Statistics of Cholera deaths from the trail: "Am I a joke to you?"
He also made fun of a peg leg and stuff.
😂😂😂 this is so funny dude!! I don’t remember caulking the wagon ever failing for me..
Game: "Amanda has died from internal injuries"
Dave: *BRHPPLPPPP*
Little known fact, the trail soon became known as "The Bacon Trail" due to the obscene amount of bacon scattered throughout its path.
21:30
DGR: "my hands are sweaty"
Me: "... Arms are heavy"
West kid: "…I got dysentery"
Moms spaghetti?
Wow this brought back memories my friend. Lol
Dave's wife dies
Dave: Morale goes through the roof, nagging decreases by 200%...
Didn't realize I needed this video until I'd watched it. When's round 2 coming? :)
You bring back soo many memories. I remember playing this game back in school when I got the chance.
I normally hate it when people branch out into different types of content but I did not hate this. Nice job lol. Love it. :D

Oh you must play this again! So fun!
In case you were wondering, Nauvoo is in Illinois, louth it is very easily confused with Naboo from Star Wars!
DGR: When in doubt, suck it out

We played an older version of this so much in 8th grade Social Studies.
Legend has it...the boy is still wondering which way is west.
Oregon trail may be the longest lasting video game I've ever seen.
Fun fact, one of the sub-generational names for people who fall on the cusp between Gen-X and Millennials is "the Oregon Trail Generation," because playing it was such a cultural touchstone in American classrooms.
I'm going to see if I can find this somewhere.
Yo when DGR stars his journey to New Jersey (Pun) Nauvoo is placed in Illinois, @DGR
I've never seen this version of Oregon Trail before. We had the DOS version when I was a kid.
Pat Lund I played it on an Apple II. Completely different game this was. But green oxen were totally a thing.
I live in Oregon and I'm very glad you pronounced Oregon correctly
Bacon: **Exists**
DGR: I’ll take your entire stock!
So he's Pepsi Dave who also loves bacon
The rafting section was crazy! E-brake drift FTW!!!
"Basically me killing you."

I loved playing this game when I was young
The video was just as fun as the stream! I hope you play it again soon.
Amanda: dies
DGR: NOT THE BACON
Please make more of these vids! I am loving this content!
Content 2 days in a row?! YESSSSSSSS!
Following Dave to Oregon is asking for trouble, I speak from experience.
Whenever I play this game my people always die of disantary

If they die to it so much, why can’t you spell “ dysentery “ 🤔
@James Grady Why would you mention the dark side here? This is a sanctuary where reddit didn't ever invent such horror! Begone from my sight, heathen!
You need more bacon.
playing carmen sandiego, my brother was playing the oregon trail earlier this morning... Coincidence? I think so.
Both classics
Ah nostalgia.
I just enjoyed/funny/ burst out laughing
good job DGR Dave
Last time I played Oregon Trail, I didn't even make it a quarter of the way before everyone died. And that was the DOS version.
I remember this game...it's a very difficult game though!!! Lol 😂😂😂😂
I have the Original Oregon Trail as a birthday gift with a gameboy like style.
Yeah I picked one up too. Not bad but the screen is tiny.
now you need to see how well you'll do on the Organ Trail and super amazing wagon adventure

Oh, the days of elementary school all over again...played this many a time, could never get a hang of it, but still a cool game!
Holy shit, I played this in tech class last year.
Here lies JD Bod: may he not be forgotten.
