    This is an old video but I still wanted to comment. I love watching your videos. I make mine the same way but cut the sugar in half.

    Renee, the last cookie you made with the Saltines, Toffee & Chocalate was amazing!!!

    2 sticks butter. 4 cups sugar. 1 cup milk. 1/2 cup baking cocoa. 2 Tbsp. Vanilla. 2 cups creamy peanut butter. 6 cups oats.

      Please note that this list is for a double recipe! You can cut the ingredients in half if you want a smaller or regular sized scratch! Thanks for listing the ingredients

    I always cut my butter up in smaller sections so it melts faster.

      I always melted my butter in the pan first. Then added the sugar and cocoa powder. Makes it much easier.

    Add, raisins, chocolate chips, (any kind) nuts, dried fruit (of choice) tbs of instant coffee
    miniture marshmallows .
    For wonderland cookies.
    I make these all year round.

    I'm # 222. Hey i made those when i was a little kid. Eat too many and you get a tummy ache .We didn't call them cookies.😁Big D here. I like your videos, your a great cook Ty for sharing! Update: I remember now hehe we called them Chocolate Dreams.

    This is the only recipe that ive tried that has always worked for me. I put ur recipe on my phone. Forgot to write it down. Got a new phone. And never thought i would find ur recipe again. Thank god i did! These r great

What about you ? I am still kind of new at planting a garden but finally have a back yard . Lived in an 1898 hotel we renovated 39 yrs ago , on top of a CO. mountain so no yard .     My Mama used to make these, but I never got the recipe, because I don't particularly like the peanutbutter flavor in them. I like peanutbutter on bread and peanutbutter cookies. Just not in THESE cookies. Can they be made without the peanutbutter? That sounds YUMMY to me! 😊💕

      McCrea Family Homestead you can use hot chocolate powder, it’s cheaper and quicker

      I used the quick cooking oats for this recipe but you can use either or. Thank You Jeneral for watching..

      We used to make them all the time.When my kids were growing up. They were a good quick breakfast to eat.with a glass of milk with a lid like a tipple cup. no car spills. when they were crumbly, they put them in a bowl with milk. Thanks for the Video it helps.I will send it to my grandson .He likes to cook!

    I've been making these SUCKERS for 42 years and each and everytime I do they disappear as quickly as I make them. They are so good they don't last 20 minutes in my house.

    When i make this can u leave out the peanut butter or what ingredients can i replace it with as i have people that r allergic to peanut butter

      Yes, by all means you can omit the peanut butter. if they are not as firm as you like just add a little more oats. They should turn out beautiful...Hope this helps you and thank you so much for watching.

      You can use sunflower butter, almond butter etc. I made these every day at my cookie bakery. A double batch, some times twice a day for 8 1/2 years I had the bakery. For the past 6 years I have been making them gluten free and dairy free as I am allergic. Closed my bakery because I couldn't be around the flour anymore.
