I think as nice as his prev owners/caretakers were, Toupac was left behind. And they didn't realize it til it was too late. And I think him getting close to you at night is him saying Thanks for not leaving him behind. Gratitude is huge in the animal community. That being said, Ripley showed you she could love you. I have to put up with a lot of chronic back pain and my 37 year old Amazon parrot always seems to know when I need a distraction. She sits on her perch and watches tv with me, making comments as she watches. It takes my mind off of the pain and helps me relax for awhile.

His colors have intensified. I love the blue around his eye. His beak is really improved. Maeve is so funny and sweet. Must be a handful. Animals can save us in a way no others can truly. Have fun dude. Greetings from Holland. Joey.
Toupac is truly a wonderful Toucan!! He has changed in so many positive ways!! You understand birds well..people don’t realize their different personalities and how close you can get to these wonderful creatures!! Thank you for how you are sharing wonderful Toucans in our lives!!
We love the fluffy orange flying scissors. I say it in a funny way, but he really is wonderful and calming to watch. I'm glad he likes cuddles. He deserves them. ^_^
This is a wonderful video. It is so very obvious the affection he has for you. You can see it in his eyes. He loves listening to you talk. Very soothing for him. Thank you for sharing the thoughts of your heart with us. Very precious.
I recently visited a parrot preserve and enjoyed the toucans so much! When I visited this place before I started watching your videos, I thought the toucans were cool, but really nothing special, but this time I really enjoyed seeing their personalities and watching them do some of the things I've seen your birds do and make some of the same sounds. I felt more connected and was seeing them a whole new way thanks to you, Ripley, Toupac, and Maeve. You are ambassadors for toucans everywhere.
I honestly cannot wait to see how this channel grows in the future. I’ve been really interested in toucans for a while now, and it’s been awesome to see all the things that they do and learn more about them. Every time you put out a video, my day gets so much better. I can’t imagine where I would be if you never did this. Thank you so much for everything.
Toupac doesn't have words to express his feelings towards you, but his body language says it all. He's completely trusting of you. That speaks volumes. 💜 He's the sweetest old guy ever. And obviously, he loves you.
Man, emotional video. Your description of the emotional and intense relationship you share with birds... that is dead on. They are unlike any other pet. I love this sincere confessional. We'd honestly like to know more about you!
Tupac is gentle and wise in spirit and gorgeous to look at - so glad you rescued him but as you say with animals it is a two way street -they give us so much more - can't imagine being on earth without them-
I miss Ripley, but I also very much enjoy Toupac and Maeve. I've played a small role in animal rescue (dogs, cats and a couple of goats) and have spent some time around therapy horses; most of them seem to rank very high on intuition and empathy. Until I stumbled across your videos (educational, entertaining and "safe") I had NO idea how wonderful birds are, and especially the beautiful toucans in your life. The affection you and Toupac share is extremely evident. He KNOWS you saved him and returns your affection. Maeve will get there too. Amazing and beautiful creatures! THANK YOU for sharing them with us!
You hit the nail on the head regarding birds and emotions! Every time I had occasion to shed tears, my cockatiel Tigger would grab hold of those emotions and utter the same squeaks and squawks every time, as if to say I understand and I'm here to help…
Man, I came accross this channel a few days ago and I love it so much. You seem like a really caring father and seeing you put so much love and passion into your birds is admirable. I've been a bird lover for ever since i was a kid, but ive never gottent to buying one. The insight this channel gives on toucans is astonishing. Much Love from Canada.
It’s amazing that, even though humans and animals don’t share the same language, we can still communicate to each other and create a friendship full of trust and understanding. I have pet rats and dogs, I can’t speak to them yet they still know when I’m sad and need extra cuddles or when I’m angry and to give me some personal space.
Toupac is adorable and a beautiful animal. It is obvious that he loves you very much and is grateful for your having rescued him, and your efforts to restore him to health. I had happy tears in my eyes watching this!💖
And yes, we are happy and proud with what you've done and are continuing to do! And never doubt the light you, Toupac and Maeve have brought into the lives of your followers.👍
Very heartfelt video. And very well said, open, honest, real, and your love for these lovely creatures is truly heartwarming. As you've said so well, they're every bit as much there for us as we are for them. Birds are truly an incredible species, capable of such nuanced and deep relationships with their humans. Thanks for sharing these great moments with us.
Tupac is special, and I’m so grateful that he’ll be able to spend whatever amount of time he has left here on this earth with someone who is so committed to giving him the love, time and attention that he so deserves. You’re commitment to getting toupac the medical care he needs just shows how much you love them and how seriously you take your responsibility to them. Thank you for loving your birds like you do and for sharing them with us. It’s a pleasure to watch them grow.
My kids calmed me waaaay down. Awesome videos. You are such a neat guy. Wish my daughters could find someone like you. Any man that has compassion for animals is a good and kind hearted man, who was raised right. Happy to have found you and your growing family on here
Your heavy sigh says a lot. You have heart strings to your birds. Feeling love is for the person that is feeling it. It's nice to see you love what you're doing. I subscribed!
I don't know how anyone can watch your videos and not see the absolute love and dedication you have for your flock there - I have parrots and definitely agree with your sentiments that they are amazing, incredibly different from dogs & card, and so empathetic (but I too tell people not to get birds! Although it's on a different level with toucans). I am so thankful for you sharing Toupac and Maeve with us and your love of toucans. ❤️❤️❤️
dude. you have no idea how much WE love YOU man. Dont ever do anything to harm yourself man. I will cry for months (and others will to) if anything happens to you or your toucans. .... rip Ripley. you will forever be missed
My dogs press up against me like that - I am convinced it is their version of a hug. I've noticed if I'm upset or bothered, they will just suddenly be there, pressed up against me.
Toupoc is one sweet bird! You can really tell he trust you! For a bird in his golden years, he couldn’t have found a better home!! Your an amazing guy!! Keep up the great work and here to Toupac and Mavie!! 👍✌️
Completely agree that birds are affectionate and emotional. I grew up with an African Gray. She loved us and the cats. Would get excited and greet me when I came home. Loved to fall asleep on my chest. Also mourned the loss of my orange cat. Would call out her name after the cat died. She was amazing!
Same but that can be hard to film as you never know when it happens and have a camera available. Perhaps he could try that with Maeve as she grows up. Perhaps him just sitting down and talking about it if nothing else. That still be educational
@@kagehikari4281 I'd assume that toucans aren't any different than other animals (or humans) in ths regard and that they'll have days where they're just being a pain in the rear in general. Pushing things off the table, spilling food for no reason, sitting where they're not supposed to sit, annoying each other...
Thanks for sharing what is in your heart. Clearly, you love your birds and I believe they love you too. Keep on doing what you do.👍 Looking foward to more of your video life with your Toucan friends.
The three of you are a flock, and to birds, the flock is everything. And you really understand that, and they know it and feel safe with you. And the difficulties and challenges of bird care you spoke about are true for parrots and other bird species too. Which is why so many captive birds are mistreated by owners who may have had the "best intentions" in the beginning.
I like how he is able to nod off, even with you speaking right next to him. I say it every time, but Toupac seems incredibly comfortable with you. To see him lean into you puts an entirely different perspective on my understanding of such a species.
I don't really feel comfortable seeing birds in captivity unless they are not suitable for rehabilitation. Having said that, it's wonderful to see what you've done for Toupac and he's a very lucky chap to have found you and you him.
Wonderful, heartfelt video! It was crushing to watch how devastated you were when Ripley passed and I, like many of your other subscribers/fans, was legitimately worried about how you were going to handle it. And then came Toupac and eventually Maeve and it was so nice to see you find your purpose and happiness again. Toupac was clearly in such rough shape when you found him. He had serious health issues from the neglect and even though it's hard for many to see, he really looked withdrawn and like he was just waiting to die. You really did rescue each other! He looks so much better now and he has clearly bonded with you in a strong way. He still has serious issues, but I can't think of a better person to help him improve and live a happy life. And now you have Maeve too and she is going to be a very happy and spoiled bird! I also do hope that your channel grows and your Patreons increase because you are actually doing something useful with your money and you're not just some fool trying to get rich from the exposure. It would be incredible if you can actually grow enough to expand and do full time toucan rescue! And as an owner of doves, I know how big vet bills can be and I don't even have to use a specialist, which must be insanely expensive! Hell, maybe you can eventually find some sponsors down the road! Anyway, wonderful video and I wish you much luck! I am proud to be a Patreon and when my new job finally stabilizes out I'll be looking to increase it a bit more. For anyone else reading this and considering Patreon, this someone who will actually make good use of the donation, even if it's just a single buck a month that you'll never miss. Cheers! :-)
I love watching Toupac get all cuddly with you. Wish I could be the one to bring him the bliss of a head scritch and a beak scritch too. I'm a lifelong animal lover but never had birds. You're teaching me to appreciate them so much more. Thanks.
I think it would be so beneficial if you did a video on how hard it actually is to care for these birds. Cleaning cages, their perches, the messes they make and how annoying and needy they are. What it costs to feed them, etc etc. Really showing how high maintenance they are and what it requires to be a good owner. It would enlighten so many people about why they are not suited for pets!
I had a rescued Amazonian parrot . I wouldn’t run for the school bus if I didn’t say hello to my dear parrot first. When I came home I would run towards her and greet her again. I would play with my bird and in my free time I spent it just watching him eat, talking to it and laughing, more than I would with my dog even though I loved him too. ❤️ I’m grateful for my childhood pet companions. :’)
I watch your videos daily and no matter what is going on in my life, they help me get out of my own head. I love that he has found his forever home with you. Thank you ❤️ from a grateful watcher

Toupac needed the right human and you needed the right toucan! I have an older cherry head conure whose been with me since 1988. He was a young imported bird that wasn’t hand tame. He is still with me. Problem is so many birds are suffering behind cage doors with little socialization or enrichment in their lives. I’m so glad Brock he is with you. My conure is like that for me. He only wants to just be near me on my shoulder and after 30 plus years he’s been with me longer than most of my human contacts

@@2manybooks2littletime25 Sorry, I'm muslim so I don't read the Bible.
Brock you are a good person taking in Toupac and Maeve. I also miss Ripley but I believe she led you to Toupac and Maeve so you can continue your true passion.
My grandmother said: this guy is very beautiful! 😁 (I'm italian)
your grandmother is correct hes such a handsome man beautiful eyes and hes a beautiful person inside and out
Brock or Toupac?
@Veritas lol
Unbelievable! He just sits there listening to you talk. ❤ how beautiful and amazing. I’m sorry you lost him however I grateful he is out of pain.
Toupac is a gorgeous boy. Thank you for your kind heart in rescuing these precious babies.
I’ve never heard anyone summarize so well how I feel about birds, or just animals. Birds are truly amazing !
I went through a lot of hard times these last few months and your videos helped me get through them. You definitely make a difference.
I have read on several occasions that folks should not own these big birds unless you are willing to spends lots of time and effort.
It takes as much time as rasing a human ... maybe more
They are like children so that requires strong commitment. And some big birds can get really old so it's a lifetime thing in some cases.
Not to mention that owning a bird can be prohibitively expensive. They must see a veterinarian who specializes in birds. They are difficult to find!
That holds true for all birds, and most pets.
You rescued each other and it's so amazing ♥️
Toupac doesn't have words to express his feelings towards you, but his body language says it all. He's completely trusting of you. That speaks volumes. 💜 He's the sweetest old guy ever. And obviously, he loves you.
Man, emotional video. Your description of the emotional and intense relationship you share with birds... that is dead on. They are unlike any other pet.
I love this sincere confessional. We'd honestly like to know more about you!
Regarding the innocence of animals, I feel the same way too. I can't resist them and prefer them over babies and such.
Me too.
He is so precious, thank you and bless both of you for finding each other..💝💝
He’s digging those skull scritches.
Mæve’s awesome, too.
Tupac is gentle and wise in spirit and gorgeous to look at - so glad you rescued him but as you say with animals it is
a two way street -they give us so much more - can't imagine being on earth without them-
I miss Ripley, but I also very much enjoy Toupac and Maeve.
Glad to see the wee old man gets some quality time with you.
It's more than peering into what toucans are like, it's your kind spirit that draws us in, birds included.
May the longtime sun
shine upon you...💕🕊
Tupac is such a kind gentle spirit. Senior animals always warm my heart 💓💓💓
I know exactly how you feel I rescued my Basset Hound but in the end he rescued me I love him so much💙💙
I rescued my cat and he me.
I do believe that Toupac knows just how lucky he is to have such a wonderful human taking care of him.
Happy to have found you and your growing family on here
Thank you for sharing Toupac and Maeve with us . Hoping you keep your channel going and keep it strong !
You and Toupac are both gentle souls. I’m glad you found each other. Thank you for saving him and sharing your journey together.
Its wonderful to see that he has bonded so well with you and having a great life now
Awww he snuggles before bed. He loves you so much, appreciates you rescued him.💗
His eyes are so gentle.
Awwww the bond you have with Toupac and Maeve is so wonderful.
❤️❤️❤️
You are a special soul to have given this cutie a great new life.
It took Tupac 16 years to find his way to you some things are meant to be he looks 💯 better than he did GREAT JOB DADDY
dude. you have no idea how much WE love YOU man. Dont ever do anything to harm yourself man. I will cry for months (and others will to) if anything happens to you or your toucans. .... rip Ripley. you will forever be missed
Tupac is my favorite out of your three toucans! He just seems so sweet!
We dont deserve the love animals have for us but they willingly share their lives with us.
Thanks for loving Tupac
❤️💛
My dogs press up against me like that - I am convinced it is their version of a hug. I've noticed if I'm upset or bothered, they will just suddenly be there, pressed up against me.
My dog will bring me her toys when she thinks I'm upset .-.
I have a rescue chicken and I feel the same way. She is so much more intelligent and loving than people can imagine.
How about an "anti-highlight" video? Showing the downsides and the aspects of toucan ownership that are particularly hard to deal with?
I think that's a great idea for a video. I would definitely watch it.
Same but that can be hard to film as you never know when it happens and have a camera available. Perhaps he could try that with Maeve as she grows up. Perhaps him just sitting down and talking about it if nothing else. That still be educational
Homer J. Simpson wow I just commented the same thing
@@kagehikari4281 I'd assume that toucans aren't any different than other animals (or humans) in ths regard and that they'll have days where they're just being a pain in the rear in general. Pushing things off the table, spilling food for no reason, sitting where they're not supposed to sit, annoying each other...
@@homerj.simpson7562 Humans ARE animals though!
That is a wonderful Toco Toucan! You take EXCELLENT care of Him!
Thanks.
Turned off adblock & refreshed to support you in this little way. Your sincerity and gratitude really touched me.
Wow, Tupac is in total bliss with the head scratchies. You're amazing with your toucans, they're lucky to have you as a guardian.
He loves his dad. He is absolutely beautiful! Looks so much better!!
This video is so cute it should be illegal. Love your love for him. Miss him already. 😭 💔
You can tell he was loved before and is now in a loving relationship
I had a rescued Amazonian parrot . I wouldn’t run for the school bus if I didn’t say hello to my dear parrot first. When I came home I would run towards her and greet her again. I would play with my bird and in my free time I spent it just watching him eat, talking to it and laughing, more than I would with my dog even though I loved him too. ❤️ I’m grateful for my childhood pet companions. :’)
I watch your videos daily and no matter what is going on in my life, they help me get out of my own head. I love that he has found his forever home with you.
Thank you ❤️ from a grateful watcher
I love how expressive the eyes of the toucans are. Of birds in general.
Toucans are so beautiful and cute, and they have that caring unconditional love that dogs do mixed with bird beauty. I think it's almost cuter than any other bird, he's such a good boy and so caring. If I knew more about toucans I'd definitely get one like toupac. They're your children and your love for them is genuine 😊
Not normally much of a bird person but toucans seem pretty great.
He has beautiful coloring.
Awwwww😊🥰 be still my heart💓So Beautiful. He knows u love him, & he loves u. Toupac will never forget what u did for him. Muave will get there too (she'll want pets & cuddles) I can't wait to see what kind of personality she'll have cause right now she is EVERY hyper child EVER all in one lil Gorgeous Toucan lol! I know I told u before, but I'm telling u again, u are an awesome person so genuine & u have done such an amazing job with Toupac & Mauve & of course Ripley (who is now *Resting in Paradise* the sweet girl). U explained it wonderfully... Animals are so awesome & great... they Love unconditionally & we could learn so much from them.
When u get your sanctuary, I WILL BE one of your 1st volunteers🤚🙂
Thank u & much love 2 all 3 of u🤗💗❤🧡💛💙❣
Your video rescued me today. Thank you.
Have a blessed night guys! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I absolutely love how these birds love you!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
