They actually are not related to possums or lemers. They are related to raccoons and lingos. Even though they are on a fruit and sometimes insects diet they can be aggressive and should not be pets. Fun fact, they polinate flowers.
@@karanmohit5339 they look like they belong in that family and I can't really say for sure but I think no. Possums and lemurs are not in that group. Mustlelids are carnivores and these little guys eat fruit
Little known fact: not only are they related to possums, lemurs and raccoons, but also gremlins, sleep paralysis demons and true goblins, but not new world goblins, which are actually a subspecies of K-pop stan.
Ahhhhh what he isn't telling u is that's a juvenile. When they get older, kinkajous will get super aggressive. Look up photos of kinkajou fangs! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE
Ils deviennent agressifs peut être parce qu'ils n'ont absolument rien à faire dans une maison ou encore pire une cage.... Quand les humains gueriront au lieu de mettre le monde animal à sa botte on en reparlera..
Lemurs, possums, and raccoons are COMPLETELY unrelated animals what 😂 You basically couldn’t get less closely related within the mammal family 😂 And jolly ranchers? Okay who tf is this guy.
Do they tear up your furniture? I was dead-set on prairie dogs for my next pet but ugh, I just learned they only live around 5 years, simply not long enough. Also I'm guessing you'd need two right? So they dont get lonely?
Nothing was “supposed” to be a pet. All animals, including cats and dogs, were originally wild animals that we domesticated through deliberate, selective breeding until they had become their own species. An experiment on domestication conducted using foxes produced animals classifiable as “domesticated” in well under a century. Had we all followed your logic from the start, we wouldn’t have ANY pets-period. Also, many common pets-hamsters, as one example-are technically wild animals. Just because something is exotic or unusual does not inherently make it unethical to keep as a pet, so long as you understand and provide for its needs. The exotic pet trade has saved entire species from extinction. Unless you actually have a rationale behind your belief that they shouldn’t be pets, get off your moralizing high horse. (P.S.: If your best argument is that they can be “aggressive” or “dangerous”… it’s time to take a long, hard look at “man’s best friend”, as dogs cause 30-50 deaths per year in the USA alone. At least I’ve never seen anyone’s free-roaming kinkajou come into my yard and kill a child.)

Huh..im oushing 80 and just found out about these guys. It nows top of my bucket list...whixh to tellnu the truth i really dropped everything off it...timenis short as hell..im feeling it last 2 months....wonder who has one near me...and who i can get to drive me to visit.m
If they live 26 years and your 80, you’re really too old to have one. It would be cruel to let one get used to someone and then have to give it to someone else after you’re gone!
Wonderful animals. I've seen them for sale a few times and been very tempted, but it's a matter of space for me ATM. I deffo wanna have one at some point in the future, wonderful animals. 😊

maybe he meant mammals, but yeah, that's too broad to be significant
According to wikipedia
“family Procyonidae related to olingos, coatis, raccoons, and the ringtail and cacomistle.”
Yeah science!
@@cunjoz
Why would he mean mammals after listing a bunch of mammals that people mistake it for?
raccoons are omnivores.
They actually are not related to possums or lemers. They are related to raccoons and lingos. Even though they are on a fruit and sometimes insects diet they can be aggressive and should not be pets. Fun fact, they polinate flowers.
I was just going to say the same.
ok thanks because I know Possums are marsupials and raccoons and Lemurs aren’t so what he said made no sense to me.
Are they mustlelids ?

Yet you sold him to a lady with a bunch of kids
that is so bad that you are selling these animals, there are so many in rescues because people dont take care of them
you should do none of the things recommended in this video
Uhm... Lemurs are primates. Not related to kinkajous
Neither are possums, given that they don't even have a placenta. He just slapped together three totally unrelated mammal groups into one family XD
Ah yes, in the same family as 3 animals that aren't in the same family
Also they do better in groups, solitary kinkajous get lonely.
I'm in love! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
lovely animals i have never seen one.
She looks so soft. ❤❤❤❤
Lemurs possums and raccoons!? So primates, marsupials and carnivora ? I think not
Kinkajous are related to Racoons. But that is the only one, out of all the ones he listed. Very odd he said that. He should just stick with racoons.
This seems like the type of animal who you cant just get because its cute but you must put its needs first

Not lemurs. lemurs are primates. I think you mean they are related to ringtails. But not ring tailed lemurs.
They are Not supposed to be pets.

A lot of misinformation and they are awful pets.
at night they turn into a werewolf so you HAVE TO cage them.

Possums AND racoons?? Not related. Lol a mistake was made
So the honey bear isn't actually a bear. You Americans are confusing people.
