So we are going to forget the first 32 games of a 38 game season? Injuries are one thing but the same ppl haven’t been out all season…Lewis was right, why haven’t we been playing the same all season??? It took us having 14 ppl out to start inverting FBs and compacting midfield in order to have this current run of games and u wanna talk injuries? Or the fact we have conceded 61 goals in the Season which is the WORST IN 30 YEARS!!!! Say what u want about last yr but we were still top 6 defensively but we couldn’t score….we have better personnel this season up front so now the structure needs improvement…some sort of Standards need to be maintained…if u want to keep Poch for the sake of consistency then u are apart of the problem at this club. Most likely he will stay now but next yr I don’t wanna hear anyone say give him time. It’s Top 4 and Europa…not even a trophy, EUROPA!!! We are fucking Chelsea and it’s about time we act like it🙄

Have you forgot Cucurella & Gusto were also having continuous injuries so inverting FBs also ain't a major option back then??? & About Enzo caicedo situation, Enzo is a Big money board signing which means he can't be dropped & can't drop caicedo also,, heavily limiting both of their output, iam not saying Enzo is bad, playing Enzo with caicedo wont work without a PROPER DM at the back plus thats also jeopardize Palmers 10th spot also.... ...& THE personal you have been talking about weren't inform too....but after February maybe lot of them heavily improved
This is so dumb. Everyone has a Plan A. You don't switch to Plan B unless you realize Plan A is no longer a go! So, however time it takes for you or anyone else to realize you're off your Plan A target, that's your reality.
You wanna talk about the first 32 matches where individual errors led to us losing a lead against arsenal, we played city twice in those 32 games we didn't lose any. The same players who are maturing now were the reason for most of those draws and defeats. And if you want to talk about injuries don't have an effect just look at the difference now when we actually have a bench and we are not forced to make changes due to injuries. Kindly look at the team and tell me ONE player that hasn't improved. You talk about defensive stats. It doesn't take rocket science to understand we are transitioning from a defensive counter attacking team to a possession attacking team ofc during a transition we are gonna lack defensive stability. We let in goals but we sure a hella much more of it. We are entertaining to watch most entertainment I've seen since Eden hazard and back then it was Eden bringing the vibes in a counter attacking team. So when you do your analysis don't leave out the good parts. The manager took over a team with players he didn't sign and is improving every single one of them. Our worst ever injury crisis and we are currently 6 and only have 1 bad game against the best team this season with 1 injury at the time so yea. Keep focusing on the negative only. The positives always out shadow the negatives

@@nivin156 i dont know if you can remember that match but as soon as the extra time started you could see it clear as day that the team was instructed not to attack and play for penalty shootout. It was so obvious. Before the extra time started during the 90 mins we were attacking them wave after wave. So yes its Pochettinos fault. But there are other games i dont blame Poch like the FA cup semi when that wasteman N Jackson missed 3 absolute sitters.

We are potentially fifth come Sunday and all this dude can do is shit on the squad because in the last year mistakes were made with a team that last season couldn't score a goal and finished 12th only because the defence was a brick wall. Face it Lewis, Poch has improved the clubs performance and you were wrong. There have been embarrassing defeats along with amazing wins, but Poch has, on the whole, improved the squad and developed individual players to a point it's undeniable.

1) 18+ injuries,
2)didn't gave him a DM he wanted,which may have been heavily lessen our goals conceded issues
3) Double The amount of goals scored by us compared to last season
4) 1st in xg creation (but players fucks up & 17 th in conversion ) , 4th in overall chance creation, but 14 in converting it .... conversion issue can be solved when players get more mature

Facts. You speak the truth Lewis. Don't know if you will read this but here is my view.
It's not that the players aren't good enough or our injuries (even though that plays a big part), imo it's that we are a whole new team put together. They really do need time to gel. Any team that changes their whole team and staff around the club will struggle. These players haven't even played 100 games together, some of them don't even have 100 senior caps! Next season is where we need to see this team Ball. It has been difficult with all of the wrong tactics and players playing in all the wrong positions but it seems something has happened and I would give him next season to see how far we can push.. or at least until Xmas
Give the same energy to the owners and sporting directors because they have also been part of the problem. 😮
Thanks for this Lewis. Poch is an average coach at best. In addition to all you have said, the way he treated Ian Mattesen is simply unforgivable. And if anyone is flip flop, then it is Poch himself. He kept changing his tone. He went from this is Chelsea and we are a top club to we should accept where we are. The kids are now winning... have they suddenly grown up? Cold Palmer is a kid, how come he is worldclass? I am sad we are making Europe because people with fikle memories will forget how difficult it has been to watch Chelsea and support this average coach. Prepare for more heart ache next year. A better coach would have done way better than Poch, of that I am convinced.

I completely agree with you here. We can say poch 'stumbled' on these fixes. How many games did we play where the team was struggling and poch refused to do anything? How many times have we said enzo is killing caicedo in the middle? Petrovic has been performing better than sanchez since the first day he came in but it took an injury for us to see this? The only thing i see him really being credited for is inverted fullback.

Poch did what i asked off this season which was get European football and play football which i can see potential in. While the defence and set pieces have been a massive issue i also have to credit poch for doubling our attacking output. Next season is where the expectations have to be raised, i want minimum top 4 with a trophy or a title challenge which isnt unreasonable as only Arsenal and Man city i generally believe are ahead. Im Poch doubt not out as if im honest i dont see Poch winning us the prem or champs but i do think he can get us in a good position
Lewis I agree with your points however I would like to make my point that I think now that we are getting Europa league plus the players seem to clearly play for him unlike what we saw last season where the dressing room was completely lost, plus I think just for the stability purpose and these players being young it would be best, also I don’t trust these owners and directors to bring in an upgrade, so imo I would judge him for the start of the next season, he should be running the ground straightaway. PS: Before anyone attacks me, just want to make clear I’m not outright Poch in just wanted to make a point, also I haven’t forgotten all his previous games and the cup final loss, I just think now it’s too late to sack him should have actually done it way before. We’re playing well because Poch is being forced to play Gallagher in his actual position rather than at CAM. Something we’ve been screaming for since the start of the season. But just wait till Enzo comes back, Poch will go back to the same mediocrity with Gallagher at CAM and Enzo beside Caicedo

Yeah,yeah, yeah! Yes it was injuries, it was finding out the best way to organise this team because none of them even knew each other a year ago. It was a matter of assessing the abilities of this very young squad that has little history to judge them by. Finally imagine if Jackson or the other players had scored all those point blank goals that experience would not allowed him to miss, we are talking about twenty odd opportunities, this team would be competing for PL championship. Oh and don't forget the reffing, Poch had every excuse, those expecting instant success don't know a thing about building, a solid foundation had to be built first. Yes we are Chelsea and Mourinho didn't succeed in one season. Next season if we don't have success is when we demand Poch out, but somehow I don't think any team is going to be happy seeing Chelsea on their schedule next year.

It's too early mate, don't get me wrong, of course I'm so grateful with our lately result and performance but we know about still much gap that need to improved especially from the aspects of teamwork
When i said teamwork, it's not only about the team, but the coordination between one department with the others because we all knew about the injuries and fitness problems, then we can speak about why and how to make them fit, we ain't speak about the signing yet
But from poch side, I'm happy because it's not become worse even though i expect he can do better and faster
But it is what it is, for me it still too early, especially if we remember how we are at the mid of season, current position isn't our ultimate goal, it's just one process, and personally as chelsea fans, i only want one process that called progress

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there aren't better managers for the job but don't you negative Nancy's think it's about time we gave someone a chance to actually build something and time to actually implement their philosophy? I'm so sick of us having to start from scratch over and over again. Each manager having to adopt a team with players in that don't suit their style, bringing in new players, selling players only to get a new manager in a year later who has to do the same thing! It's fucking tiring and soul destroying. Personally, I would give Poch at least another season to see what he can do, get a couple of players in the squad with some experience, get a bit of consistency, a bit of momentum and see what happens... For once! Just one fucking time! Maybe, just maybe it will benefit us not to be impatient and get a new manager every time they don't win us the league in their first fucking season. I hate comparing us to other teams but look at Arteta. It took him a while to sort things out at Arsenal. They gave him time and now look at them! feels like the whole season was a preseason experiment. Seems like he would do better with us having a smaller squad than bigger one.
Having a smaller squad doesn’t prevent him from mis-profiling the players .. it doesn’t make him a smarter coach in terms of problem solving in game or coming up with tactics that suit our players, it doesn’t make him a better coach at developing the players that need special attention… it doesn’t really solve anything.. especially considering how many injuries we frequently get…
To replace Thiago Silva, Chelsea need to go for Joachim Andersen of Crystal palace and then the returnee Wesley Fofana also in case Chaloba leaves. A new LB is needed, should Dortmund trigger the buy- out clause for Ian Maatsen, while Ben Chilwell is moved on.
As for the midfield and attack, If Conor Gallagher were to be sold this summer, Chelsea need to buy Joao Palhinha (CDM), who's a spine and direct competition for Romeo Lavia while they keep Casadei in the team for next season. A formidable striker and a deadly left winger are needed as well.
Certain players like Ugochukwu, Chukwuemeka, Alfie Gilchrist, Washington need to go out on loan and Raheem Sterling offloaded to Saudi league.

You I just don’t understand other fans who somehow dismiss the whole mess of a season that we’ve had up until recently .. and I can’t stand fans who can’t see that inverting Cucu isn’t some tactical genius move that poch has been working in. He stumbled upon the idea because he was forced in that direction… and if it took him 33 games to come up with the idea of inverting Cucu , then how long will it take him to come up with something more complex when they eventually find out how to play against the 3-2 shape… how are people not seeing that as an issue…

Bmt. I would keep poch. its not what we wanted to finish in europa league. But it is better than last seasons hell. But he has to hit the ground running next season to show he is the guy for the job.
Yh I respect Chelsea fans say “this is Chelsea fc we should be challenging every season” but you gotta blame the board, they took this approach of signing young talent for stupid money and then bringing poch in to make up for the mess they created. There’s been mistakes poch has made however these players are vulnerable and when the pressure was ever on us they didn’t want to know.
You can say the manager can put the confidence in the players but again he doesn’t go out on the pitch and miss the million chances we have or the shocking defensive errors that our team done, that’s not coaching, that’s the players not being up to the standard of the league. right now performances have improved because he’s got the same group of players playing week in and week out together. It’s all about better recruitment next season and players that can actually fit the system rather than it being dumped on a manager for him to then being forced to make it work when it will not always work.
Credit where credit is due, poch has made changes to his set up and it’s worked and worked well. I see no valid reason beyond emotions as to why he shouldn’t be given next season.

Enzo was injured so of course he didn’t look like himself…Poch should’ve dropped him for the betterment of the team and the player to heal and rest….however, if he was healthy he wouldn’t need to be dropped bc he will be more than capable to help the team…we are better with a healthy Enzo. People accuse Lewis of being negative but to his credit he is giving concrete examples of poor management. Instead of calling him (Lewis) names I'd like to hear a refutation of his examples. Me personally, I think even 50-year old coaches can learn and improve and I look for a pattern of learning and improvement in lacking areas. That won't erase missteps but at least one could give evidence that the coach is learning and getting better just like our young players.
Thank you bro, I could hear the argument that hes learning and getting better, but thats why I need to wait until next season to really believe he's turned a corner.

Apparently we had an inexperienced team lacking quality hence our lack of results.. Why keep him when he's not our future gaffer.. Who's to blame for all our injuries, I think this will dictate whether he stays or goes.. Tactically Poch is poor and he can't manage our young upcoming stars.. If we have a better option, sack him!
