This drop was so ahead of its time, I understand why a lot of people didn't like it when it released, but comparing it to the music we're used to nowadays it seems to fit more in with the alternative EDM styles. Personally I love it.

I discovered this song in 2016, and have been listening ever since. Always thought Karma Fields were the goat of music production, and still thinks to this day.

@@computethis1533 an artist is a part of Monstercat as long as they have a song on the label. Being part of Monstercat does not mean you have to release on it a certain amount of times a year. In fact, you could just release one song and release never again on the label (which quite a few artists have done so far)
so when somebody says “they left” that just means they decided not to release any new songs on the label anymore
Although at any point they could try to get more songs on the label if they really wanted to
Its crazy when this song was first released there was a LOT of criticism for it, but I cant help but enjoy the song and its style for the video lol.

Growing up is realising that Karma fields kinda mopped the floor with the majority of monstercat at the time. This kinda stuff flew over most fans heads at the time because we were all like 14 but karma fields tracks are some of the few that really hold up when compared to a lot of the rest of the catalogue from this time. Which to me consists of some pretty mid or generic tracks in hindsight (not to say there weren’t highlights)

So I walked into my weekly lab, sat down, and saw a new vid out. So I opened it up and thought, "I'll watch it once or twice."
It took me 20 minutes to realize my lab had been canceled and no one was here except me.
Almost a decade on, and this is still one of the greatest songs ever produced.
October 2021 and this is still one of the best videos in Monstercat

This is the story of this song. There was this god named Kerli who created a whole universe that had all of it's world connected by bridges. Each world had different things living on them. After a long period of peace, the worlds started to fight with each other. So Kerli tried desperately to keep the peace between the worlds. But she finally realized that there was no hope for the universe she had created, so she broke the bridges, thus ending the conflict.

I can't tell if you're serious or not, but this is another love song with a twist in the lyrics.
You don't even know how long I've been waiting. Since I heard about the release about a couple of days ago I thought 'Wow, a new artist! Great!'. Then I saw that there was vocals and I then thought again 'I'm feeling good about this one'. Then just 2 days ago I saw the change of the channel art and thought 'omfg it's a music video as well'. You don't even know how excited I was for this release! :D
The best part of this by far is the variation of how he made this. He obviously intended to make a song that used no sounds or loops anyone had used before which made it completely unique which fits perfectly with the simple but at the same time sophisticated MV. Very well done Karma!
Lots of people discussing the hype surrounding this song compared to the song itself. I find a lot of people not really enjoying the drop. There's a whole lot more to great music than a sick drop. I mean, don't get me wrong. I love a good club banger as much as the next guy, but Monstercat (and EDM in general) is not, and should never JUST be, about sick drops.
I will admit that the drop isn't really my style either, but I do like the overall feel of the track. It's got a unique sound of indie dance mixed with some nu-disco elements, which I find enjoyable. Also, having someone as well-known as Kerli as the vocalist is a pretty big deal. That's part of why I think this track is so hyped up.
Wiley Koyote came back to this song with a subwoofer in my car, i no longer have any problems with this song, but my car does. :P

I think I'd agree with you there if this song didn't have a build up, ie a section with the specific purpose of building up tension to then release it at the drop.
I love, love, love this song!!! And I'm glad to see Kerli taking on projects she's proud of, but what is that constant snapping? It puts off the song.

This had a lot of hype, and BOY DID IT DESERVE IT! This is a masterpiece! Not even talking about the amazing visuals yet, this song has such a melodious blend of instrumentation, chords, and some excellent vocals! It is the exact opposite of a cacophony! Kerli's voice sweetly laid over the beautiful melodies and amazing bass support! Such a beautiful example of perfection that you can't help but imagine it being made by some higher form of life! The Indie and Electronic sides were fighting each other, but instead of a harsh fight, it was a beautiful and fun pillow fight that was amazing with the prettiest feathers of all time! The drop was so nice, short, and sweet that it makes me want more of that and less of the norm with how it is harsh and/or heavy. Karma Fields is going to be one amazing addition to the family with an even bigger entrance that any other artist I have ever seen!
Now, let's talk about the visuals... WHAT THE HOLY MOTHER OF AWESOME!!!! I thought I was good with Trapcode Sound Keys, but this is so far out of my league that I shat my pants! It fits the song so perfectly and keeps the feeling of it being made by a superior being! Absolutely phenomenal! I am in love with this and want to only listen and watch this or the next few days! Absolutely sexy!
