When you're in the far edge of your lane, you're almost encouraging cars to come over. There's so much more you can do to improve your visibility. Lots of good tutorials here on RUclips to help you.
This is true for those 'special' group of drivers, but if they really cared they wouldn't just immediately put me in that position. I'm pretty sure too the driver in this video didn't care, but I position myself like this most the time without any hassle from others. I do appreciate you for advising me without outright blaming me. Stay safe.
@@JackTrades-dm1nl Good rule I use is to assume they havn't seen me unless I make eye contact with them . V few people WANT to be in any kind of collision but unfortunately not everyone drives with as much attention and care as they should. End of the day it doesn't matter who is at fault in an accident, your going to suffer more from any kind of collision. Be on your toes out there man. Always have an escape in mind and assume you're invisible to others.
I agree with this, but it was the fact I had a signal on and they didn't. They also didn't recognize me until they were halfway in, then they jerked back, and then they just went for it.
@@JackTrades-dm1nl yes i noticed that, all that matters is to stay safe, my brother crashed into a bike a few weeks ago and the bike was totaled, 52k was the cost of the bike, guy didn’t have insurance but we handled it, my brother was atu fault for doing the exact same thing as the guy in the last clip, except my brother crashed ofc, both were okay, and that’s what matters, safety.

I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to tell me, but the wave was because they just got over with no signal and nearly hit me. Sure, we did get over at pretty much the same time, but I had my signal well in advance before I moved over, and they really just chose then to get over. Also, notice that they noticed me about halfway through the lane, and jerked the car back.
Ok champ, 0:45 driving one handed at that speed, you see the guy turning from a good distance, and you don't even try to slow down in case he just does something stupider. Just going for the horn at the last moment. You are as much of a problem as they are. Normally when you start driving a motorcycle you should be old enough to know that most drivers (car/motorcycle you name it) are entitled and dangerous arseholes, and you drive accordingly. You're not doing yourself a favor by posting this. Focus on your driving and staying healthy on your bike, not showing what everyone already knows.

You watch you mirror after the hand gesture, when already next to the car + not moving an inch to the left at any point. Obvious lie destroyed by your own video. "You don't need to slow down every time for this stuff" for your own good you should. "how do you know I wasn't anyways? " I'm watching the footage, easy. @@dedewunjo426 So to your first thing, it's all about perception. You likely don't ride with a camera, but my eyes were moving even though my head wasn't. Again with the perception, I was on my left mostly, and I did move ever so slightly to my left. You should brake for extra safety, but you don't always need to. That gets old quickly with how often I already have to, but I actually did slow down a bit. It was just another perception thing. If you're also trying to tell me the 'correct' way as well, I'll still disagree and boil it down to preference. I also don't or didn't claim to 'know better', but as motorcycles no matter what you do, there is still a high danger of something. Also, regardless if someone doesn't try to avoid an accident(which I believe people can do better of), no one is entitled to force someone in that position(especially if it was intentional). Bruhs did you not see how much space they had to their right, and yet they still nearly sideswiped me? The speeding part is irrelevant because it was still a safe speed for that area(and I was moved over pretty far to my right), and they had a lot of time before we crossed to move over.

@@JackTrades-dm1nl You Americans not allowed to split lanes? It's necessary to reduce the likeliness of getting rear ended. Although if it's not possible I position myself to the side of the car in front so I'm not a metal sandwich in the event of a rear ender.

There are only a select few states that allow it, each with there own stipulations. I also do the same thing with staying at the sides instead of directly behind for the same reasons lol. You can even see me in the video doing just that. Stay safe fellow rider.

I dont ride, but I remember hearing something about the center of lanes having more oil and being a worse surface for bikes to ride on.
