It begins with "Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten", a great piece that I am used to listen to with full orchestra, but here it is a small ensemble, and then the voices, and slowly it goes over to Arvo Pärts own wiev of a Stabat Mater, I can follow all of his passages, and it is very Pärt all the way. And I like it, it is a prayer all the time. Bach used his themes in various numbers, and why shouldn´t Pärt do so?
The beginning sounds like Part also? At least according to one of his CDs I have. It is so beautiful and heart-wrenching x
Fehlerlose und wunderschöne Aufführung dieses modernen Meisterwerks mit durchsichtigen Stimmen aller Sänger und perfekt kontrollierten Töne aller Instrumente. Der intelligente Maestro dirigiert alles im relativ langsamen Tempo mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Echt ausgezeichnetes Ensemble!

Ik was er bij. Hoe goed ook uitgevoerd, dit eek past niet tijdens een hoofdconcert an het Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht!
In deze Pärt past de stem van Aleksandra Lewandowska wonderwel erg goed. Was heel indrukwekkend in een volgepakt maar muisstil Vredenburg
Wat een zorg voor de toon en wat een balans!
