There is actually sadder Theory about that game.If you would speak Russian,i would recommend one video.That Theory was so interesting and sad,and There were so many facts,and that Theory could be truth.

In Standard Asian School,other kids bullied him.That Teacher didn't help him,and hated Mono.And every time he did something wrong,she did punishment him.And After it goes too much for Mono,he couldn't handle and make other kids injure,after that crazy situation. They send him to Mental Hospital. There was worth than in School. People (Patients), who depend on medicane,and who live there like in Prison.Doctor also didn't like Mono at all. And Mono decided to escape,he locked his Doctor in room (or somewhere). And he lived in Roofs or abandoned houses of Pale City.But he couldn't live there ever,and he started work on Post Office (in game we saw that location) and he bought one bedroom.He lived there untill he met Lady (Six).He loved her so much (In game it is Six,little girl,in his Nightmares she only person who helped him,and she was reason to don't give up,and thay was sence to live.In Nightmare he saved her many times, because she was only reason and excuse, why he did mur*er). Lady was working in Ship (from 1part) And he hirrd there to work,and when he tried to say her about his love.She rejected him,and after that he didn't uave reason to live,and he wrote the letter about his life he stand on chair and that's it.There was only one way for him,the loop.And he finished his life by that (we can saw him in first part,when we played as Six) True or not,but that Theory was masterpiece,and actually sadder. Thanks bro, yeah it did take a long time to get the run down. This sort of gamegets easy after you know what routes to take and kind of reminds me of a 3d limbo but less brutal. Have you played inside or limbo?
To me, I think limbo is about two children who die in a car crash on the way to a hotel with their family. The boy wakes up in purgatory and has to travel past his fears to reach his sister and save her. He's scared of other kids, spiders, crashing, hotels, loads of stuff in the game that leads me to believe it. That's what I think anyways, inside is far more open to interpretation, but limbo has a narrative in the background somewhere.

I'm pretty sure that map is to give you clues on how to beat the puzzle with the pieces and where to move them. I'll double check when I get a second mate 🤔
