Amen, especially the carbines...a few folks have done A1 type rifles but the carbines have virtually been ignored. With as many M4 clones as there are out there, its criminal hehe.
After watching part 1 and this, I never knew how many carbine variants there were. I wish I could browse your collection. I could spend all day checking them out.
Arrived and I can say OUTSTANDING for what it is and the price of 1200 buck's. great fit and finish. After lugging around a M-4, and one with a M203 for awhile. After decades I forgot how light and small this one seems. Can't wait to Order the Colt when they arrive.but this one for the price fills the slot. I don't think anybody else could do more for the same buck.
The A2 flash-hider not only acts as a compensator, but also is meant to be that way so it doesn't blow dust or dirt when firing from a prone position. And A2 sight, the elevation adjustement dial was actually a throwback of the AR-10 rear sight.
Ordered the XM177E2 Now waiting for ship date. Takes me back to early days 1968/74 thanks O.B.A. For the response, and keep up the vids and info. And never sweat P.& M. The world is full of them. Enjoy what you know and what you do. Thats the bottom line.Semper -Fi
Another guy I know just got one in had Colt and logo engraved in the space on the mag well looks outstanding. glad your model came in. 48 hours on mine.
+Ozark Bear Arms ya they put it in the trigger guard to make it legal but very nicely done. shot mine today and it works great no problems glad I got it.
Thanks & just today we posted another retro AR video. It looks at Troy's XM177E2 & a custom GUU-5P I did. Check it out if you have 15 minutes to kill please.
Totally agree with you. I've kind of been on the lookout for the right parts. Its never been a high priority but i would definitely enjoy building/owning one.
Fortunately Colt Canada (formerly Dieamco) started selling C7 and C8 carbines on the Canadian market. They also have some pretty cool variants like Danish Special Forces and SAS C8 lookalikes. You guys might start to see some of that furniture come in that you would need for a build.
You show good detail on the vids and cut through any b.s. or no loud bangin music.Just explain and display, Simple vid with info. More should follow that Lead. .
Thank you, i was a history teacher so kind of carry that over. Sorry for the shaky cam at times; my regular guy was out that day. Also now we've bought another tripod! I just love guns; both the history and mechanics. I only want to share something that has brought me so much in my life, that's all. Growing up, my father had an SP1, so that was the first 'assault' type rifle I ever fired.
I have never bought a rifle as fast as the Troy XM177E2. That design of rifle is one of the coolest looking objects my eyes have ever gazed upon.
Yeah no kidding! The market has been HURTING for cool retro rifles!

The M4A1 is my favorite followed by the M16A4 MWS. This version had grown on me alot as of late.
Thanks for the upload on this glorious day...what a treat
I love watching & listening to your History Lessons. Please keep up the good work. I salute you my friend.

Agreed, I am keeping the Troy XM177E2 as-is, and turning my GAU-5A/A into a GUU-5P.Very impressed with how these shoot too.
Nice video Mish. Don't stop making these. Your explanations flow nicely.
Thank you, and we just posted another AK based one. I am sure we'll cycle back around to the AR15 too though. I like all military type guns.
Great Job Sir . All Macv-sog had the car 15s

Acts more like a compensator

mine was shipped yesterday so I would think you should be getting some notification soon
Got my own XM177 in yesterday. I am sure you'll like yours too. No Troy logo on the side either, which everyone seems to really like.

It would be nice to see you build a Canadian C7 rifle ;)

Anyone know how long it takes for an order to be processed and shipped? Do they have the GAU 5A/A in stock?
My first order took about 6 weeks, and my second took less than 3.
Thanks, I like your channel.
Essential Arms (dot com) makes reproduction CAR-15 Aluminum stocks like that. The best I have seen personally (and only reproduction I have seen lol)
Cyberdyne Systems Model 101.

why does he say 'aluminum' like a brit (aluminIum)?
Because my TTS Program (Dolphin) is British and after listening to it for 20 years, its rubbed off some on me.
