Zombies in Spaceland the most complete map OAT, idk if I’d put it above DE or origins in terms of GOAT map, but it is so loaded and so well constructed to include so much content. I loved this take, and this video GG
Why do people like origins I hate it the look of the map is cool and the wonder weapons are but the map layout is awful with the dirt slowing you down everywhere and not many open areas
Objectively, I think Zombies In Spaceland is the best launch map Zombies has gotten. It appeals to casual players and hardcore players. It's simple on the surface, but has a lot of depth to it. Is it my favorite map? No, Shadows of Evil is still my GOAT, with Der Eisendrache being a close second. But Spaceland is definitely top 5 for me.
funnily enough, spaceland was the first map i ever played. me and my friends had so much fun with it, and when i played other zombies games nothing quite hit the same except maybe BO3 zombies. It is and forever will be my favourite map ever
Was very glad to hear the WW2 maps and their placements. Whenever I bring them up, it seems that nobody remembers or even played them so to see them is nice. I'm also a huuuuuge fan of the atmosphere of WW2's maps, they brought back the terror I felt loading into BO1's zombie menu as a kid
This is actually such a good video. I love the rankings and reasoning behind them. I love the fact you based them off of how easy/challenging the maps are and using that with how much fun they are. This was a really good list.
The only problem with SOE is that is not a good "beginner" friendly. The beast mode mechanic takes time to understand and the tight map layout makes it difficult to train zombies
Kinda overrated imo. 4-player only EE sucks and I really don’t like the Apothecon Servant. I love the Afterlife style setup but both of the maps the have that kind of setup (MotD and SoE) have really underwhelming EE
36:21 I agree with your statement. This map hit hard and so perhaps so did every map after it. (Except for Beast from Beyond). But seeing this map again is sad known that Lee Ross (The brainchild behind IW zombies) quit IW back in 2019 to work on blackout; then quit call of duty all together in 2022, making the thread to us getting a sequel or crazy IW zombies mode again very thin.
When I seen shadows at #2 I got worried and couldn’t think of what was left but the you brought out that banger and that is a close one but I think I agree!!!
Currently watching while pooping Edit: after finishing the video I totally agree 100% with he placements I am also a fan of blood and voyage and glad you had good things to say about them it's a nice change of pace.
Imo space land is the perfect map it’s chill if you want it to be it’s complex if you want it to be and the ee is simple but hard plus it has insane atmosphere
It's honestly shocking and refreshing seeing a ranking list that is not biased or catered towards the zombies community You could have easily put Shadows 1st place, Kino 2nd Town 3rd etc. but you put it the way you think about them, good on you! I barely played zombies in Spaceland but I do remember playing it as a kid with my brother, the clowns were so scary to us but it was fun. If I were to put my top 1 map for launch maps it might be either The Giant or Terminus as to be fair I started playing zombies a ton since Cold War (And also I just like going for high rounds). Before Cold War I got like barely 100 hours on both BO3 and BO4 combined but I liked all the maps!
I'm a sucker for theme parks. Hell, that's what I do as a career, so you can only imagine what I was experiencing when I played Zombies in Spaceland for the first time when I was a dishwasher before I achieve my goal to work at a theme park. This map has a nice reference to Magic Kingdom, being the employee's tunnel is what the Cast Members use to help keep the theme of different lands untacked as it would be awkward to see Buzz Lightyear walking through Frontierland to make his way to Tomorrowland. The attention to details on this map made me respect Infinity Ward on their take on Zombie's. Like you said, story wasn't the best, but I do enjoy the guest characters in every map. I personally think IW could of taken a Dead Rising approach to Zombies being the goofier counterpart to Treyarch's and Sledgehammer's Zombies. But alas, I still love IW Zombies so dearly, I'm just sad that I won't ever be able to thank Paul Reuben for playing a big part in this and have him sign a poster of this map. May Peewee Herman rest in peace, and may newer and experienced Zombies players that never picked up this game to give Spaceland a try.
This list was really good. Some spots I disagree with obviously as that’s how everyone is with every list. Personally I’d move ZISL down to number 5 and shadows at 1 with some rearranges but overall really great video. Keep it up
@@Xpertfusion omg u replied thank u❤️🙏 and yeah I agree with that but tranzit has become such iconic map and like ted is funny also the pack & punch thing is just u gotta have a full turbine for it But I respect ur opinion😊

Never had a problem with tranzit. The only thing I don’t like about it is the lava after the diner. Unless you have jug or perma jug, you ain’t getting through it. Just shoot the denizens before they land on you. You just need to shoot infront of you at the right time
Spaceland has been getting a lot of love recently and it makes me happy. I am an OG Zombies guy from WAW but I knew from day 1 something was special about the Spaceland map. EDIT: Clarification

Tranzit has been gassed up a lot recently, people seem to forget about the huge amount of hate the map got when i played. Having to jump out and build power and you have to wait for the Avagadro to break out ESPECIALLY dealing with the Avagadro in the fog and lava. And the fact that you have to use a grenade for PAP and the fact that it can close if you didnt have the turbine. Dont get me started with the original Jet Gun that thing was not worth building. If Vanguard didnt exist transit takes the cake as the worst launch map of all time
Town is just a more interesting survival experience to me. Kino gets boring a lot quicker. Plus, I find the BO2 guns to be more fun to use compared to the BO1 guns.
IX I think is the best launch map in general. Its perfect for noobs and zombies vets and is so badass. Shadows of evil is of course really good but its full of stuff you gotta look up so that makes it to mw just slightly below IX as I remember struggling with it when younger due to how complicated and long the setup process is. Other than the order of the last 3 I 100% agree with this list.
Ww2 is my tied favorite zombies game with BO1. Love that game so much even though most people don’t like it I got level 1000 and played 48 days in that game 😂
Ive never clicked with spaceland after trying it so many times, but I think i'd agree with your top 5 completely. Maybe i'd move Blood of the dead up to number 5 but the list is pretty solid.
I almost agree with the entire video, in fact it is very good!, but I simply do not agree with Shadows' post, it is true that it is a great map, but as a presentation it was not very good, due to its difficulty and how tedious it was. It could be, which means that instead of introducing more players it ends up causing the opposite effect, objectively I would have put it behind terminus.
I personally enjoy more difficult maps, but I wouldn't even classify SOE as that difficult. It is just a little harder to get into compared to the average map at the time, but the learning curve is part of the fun for me. It is what made the map have more replay value throughout BO3's launch. I understand a lot of players didn't even want to bother to learn it, but those players had The Giant to play anyways, so I think SOE as a launch map was great for hardcore fans. I would like to ask what your definition of "tedious" is, because I am curious as to what aspects of SOE you find to be tedious.
Based list. I wouldn't put any of the pre-BO3 maps anywhere near my top 10 launch maps, the survival style maps just don't age well and I've been playing since Nacht in World at War.

Tranzit is a great map. Only issue is tha jet gun being bad. Other than that it is a great map with many training spots, everyone wants to complain about tha fog when you can get a denizen and bring it to a light post and teleport away. Tha map is built for experienced zombies players.. how NUKETOWN zombies is ranked higher than it is insane with how terrible nuketown zombies is.
The only maps i heavily disagree with are shadows and voyage. Voyage is the tranzit of bo4, the only easter egg i didnt complete other than classified, and i personally dont find shadows that good of a map
@jackpot2223 no like I tried to like it and have done multiple attempts but it was too painful and glitchy. Even after all of that I reached planet step and my brother turned off the console. IMO voyage is the 2nd worst bo4 map other than classified
