because of Covid-19 , its been weeks "Stay at Home" boring life. but when I watched this short horror movie, my boredom is gone. This is a must watch movie.
Just goes to show, you don't need a big Hollywood budget, just quality production!👍👍💖💞
Really good storytelling. His abuse wasn’t over the top, and it showed how she was both afraid of him and depended on him.

So many ways to interpret this movie, from a gory horror angle, the depths of addiction to frightening psychosis, great pace & build up, very well made. The Jess actress is totally invested in the character & the Triffid plant predator is always a terrifying concept. I'll hope to see more work from FFP, thanks.

@@user-xn7we8md6c I believe you're mixing Triffid's with Tribbles? The Triffids invaded Earth in a Meteor shower, [1963 movie] & the brightness of entering our atmosphere blinded those who watched the spectacle.
Made me think of The Ruins and Psycho at the same time. A good one.

The cinematography was extremely easy to follow with the story, it wasn’t to short or to drawn out & the lead actress deserves to be awarded for her performance. Well done! :)
My Dad owned the shop at the start of the film before he passed away...he named it "Tackle'n'Grub" just a useless bit of info...

Nice nice niceeeeee. Boyfriend’s acting was spot on with abusive gaslighting. I wasn’t sure if that’s what he was doing at first bc as a victim of gaslighting it is extremely hard to pin point if you’re not looking for it or don’t know the signs. Left me feeling really distressed listening to him and watching her reactions because that’s how it really looks and feels. Hit home. Nicely done.

Pretty girl becomes abuse victim of handsome evil boyfriend. People should realize how this story happens in reality in real relationships. This story uses deep dark wild horrifying visual metaphorical drama to emphasize how severe these situations can become. I think this short film is brilliantly done presenting a solid effort toward raising awareness of these type relationships...they're so often hidden inside this busy world where victims become lost though they might be publically seen...abusers can be very crafty at disguising their crimes.
This one needs to get to the box office IMO! Wow that creature is scary as hell.

I love how the amazing scenery was at once menacing and really beautiful, the overview shots were gorgeous and frightening. What a wonderful setting for this truly chilling tale that has such a deeper message of abuse. Excellent film.
while watching this i kept saying this guys an ass tell him your done the ending floored me . i so wanted the grove monster .what we do to each other is real horror .i prefer monsters .i come from abuse so i try to avoid and stick with monsters .this was so well done and acted if i could give out awards you would win 1 .all around and the acting great job thank you

Like the way the cinematography brought out the ominousness of the mangrove marshes...very eerie.

This was really good. A real-edge-of the seater. We'll written creepy music. The scenery in the forest looked like she would never get out of there.The boardwalk added the finishing touch. This was one I really enjoyed!😀😁👍👍

Well-done. Thanks... Hehe - "Stay on the Path" [where we planted land-mines]? Those weed-tentacles! I instantly recalled "Evil Dead 2". herbicides, only herbicides! Run, baby, run. And send back some copters with Dioxin.// Also reminded me "The Willows" by good old Algernon Blackwood.... And the attempt to escape from nightmarish dreamscape - "Elm Street"...Poor girl.

Really good Movie! Thx for sharing this with us. 99% of this movie takes place in the Main Character's head and it vaguely reminds me of Jacob's Ladder and even the videogame Silent Hill 5 Homecoming. I say the mangroves, and the woods represent her mind/brain; the root creature and ghostly humanoid beings represent her inner demons; The "Stay On The Path" signs represent that she MUST stay on the path of recovery, IF she is to change her predicament. The black wall poster in the Doctor's office blatantly spells this out, in addition to all the signs. The runtime is long, because :A)Of the HEAVY hellish nature of her recent past (then again, we don't know how long she's been in the hospital), which B)Causes her to revisit all the trauma in her psyche. In the end (pun intended), Her recovery is up to her-that's why the film ends the way it does. Also interesting how her appearance is somewhat corpselike-really drives home the gravity of the situation. Looking forward to seeing more films.

anyone watching this, if you have a s/o who tries to control you the way the guy controlled his g/f, LEAVE. That is not how it should be at all and you deserve better.

To say I was impressed by this movie would be an understatement it looks great editing was great acting and story was also really good and the location is pretty brilliant and even the camera was telling a story from the overview shots to the weird angles and effects and best of all no jump scares it's just genuinely creepy 9/10
Lies lies and more lies. Was not scary at all. The first 13 minutes was boring. And the rest well...........

Hi if you wear hearing aids you can pair them to iPad tv or phone the sound goes straight to your ear

Her boyfriend was mean and abusive towards her and I think leaving that relationship would be the answer.

I'm Aussie and have been disappointed by a lot of our movies..horror especially. We have some great ones but not that many IMO
@@nelliesilvers1210 Really? I've observed that Australia seems to make better horror than most countries.
@@rustinstardust2094 We do make good horror gore wise and we love our serial killer based movies which make for good storylines etc but I've just been let down a few times too many. Wolf Creek I absolutely loved but the second one disappointed me. It tried too hard.
We've definitely released some good ones but I think American based horror conquers our ideas
@@nelliesilvers1210 Ok, yes - I didn't get a chance to see the first Wolf Creek, but I saw the 2nd one streaming on Netflix a few years ago and you're right - it did not live up to Australia's horror film reputation

Tad late to the party here and no doubt everyone's departed already but if anything ended up coming of it (TT2), I've never seen nor heard anything about it. I'm a horror loving Aussie who has a particular soft spot for the FF subgenre so though there's a few above-mentioned reasons I'd like to think I'd be aware of its release (had there been one), no knowledge of its existence or even production outcome has reached my lil' grapevine.
P.S.. hope that made some semblance of sense. Up to my eyeballs on painkillers atm🥴🤤.

It would've been a great premise to run with as well due to the ending being left open to interpretation and our imaginations left filling in the blanks of what they actually saw and fully experienced. Less is definitely more when it comes to revealing the creatures etc (the original Blair Witch showing less worked beautifully).
Yeah, I wouldn’t want them to overexplain, but it’d be fun to do a sort of journalistic expose the government lies kinda thing…

I was SO surprised at how scary this movie is.....and I was really disappointed when it ended!!! Great metaphor for a life trapped in addiction. The plants and the woman that were trying to kill her was heroin.....
You get it all wrong. It is nothing about addiction at all. It is about domestic violence.
I love Aussie movies, I hope also this one is good.
