I was lucky to watch a rehearsal of The Dream at ROH June, and Viola really stood out with her elegant, exquisite dancing! Gorgeous face!! Fab technique. Can't wait to see her in a lead role! ❤
They probably don't have the funding for it. It costs quite a bit to film class and rehearsals to a professional standard. US companies have no government support and have to fundraise for any activity they want to do.
its a shame they are promoting the dance as if it is a sport rather than an artform. Look how high her leg is! Look how far she can bend backwards! Really? Is that what's about?
if a high leg is all you can see and is enough to cancel out one's evident passion while dancing, then that's your problem and the only real shame here.
Erm no, it doesn't. It's just a cool promo vid - only someone very negative and expressing low frequency/consciousness would have interpreted it the way you have done. Anyway I took the beginning and ending as that she was acting a role rather than being herself?!

Wow! I remember seeing Viola in another World Ballet Day years ago when she was still a student at the Royal Ballet school, and look at her now!
She is super cool. Also one of those dancers who always draws your eye because she has such great stage presence - I think she will go far ❤
