I got a vw fiberglass racecar that I thought about bringing there someday. Its a 1965 VW Ferrer GT. Its 1 of 100 made and 1 of only 8 left in existence. Parts would have to be made for it. Its a race car that was built to race the circuits in brazil and some were made into street cars. Its got that vibe of a GT40. Look it up on google and you'll likely see my car in the google search, lol.
If I ever get the funds to do it, I'll certainly bring it by Counts Kustoms. I'd love to see them take their spin on it. The original builders of the car, the sons of the original founder Frank Ferrer are still living and would love to see that car done. God that split window is gorgeous! I wouldn't have thought that color interior would look that good with a black cherry paint but it looks perfect! To me that is one of the sweetest rides you guys have ever done! That paint job makes it stand out but it doesn't look too crazy. If the guy ever wanted to sell it he certainly would have no problem selling it cause that black cherry stands out but not to the point where it looks too specialized to a single person.
Ryan continuously impresses the hell out of me! Every time I see one of his beautiful paint jobs I’m thinking there’s no way he could do it any better and he does. If I could have Ryan paint my car, if I could afford it, I’d be afraid to drive it. Pure artistry.
Had to pleasure to visit your shop in my trip to the USA from Europe. Had an amazing time and wish you continue this series for as long as possible!

I'm curious what motor you used in the VW bus? I had 79 VW Super Beetle and would have loved a motor with 200hp, that thing would move!

Brother Danny, I love your work and I have been tuning into 'Kounts Custom' at History Channel since dog years I'd say, hahaha .The amazing and blessed team of Kounts Custom which is a, part-player of 'Kounts Custom' DNA is unique. I hope there's a 'Kounts Custom' , school someday where youngsters learn and evolve the very art which has been incepted by your team. Since that is the very fabric and soul of the automotive industry that has been ignored unknowingly and missing from automobiles these days, something which you mention as love. I know what I am talking is volumnous however if you look back at every single project that has been nurtured it's a pertinent factor to consider and be inculcated. That bus is gorgeous, if I could afford it, that is how I would do it, except the auto box, manual for me. Beautiful work.
It's Not stock if you change the color
stock would be how it was ordered new from the factory,
so when you change the color it is not longer with the factory options it was ordered with and is no longer stock.
same with the interior change from the ordered from factory option with the VIN on that car
but no worries still love the show
This show has had my keen interests for years. Being a retired panel beater, I’ve always had a love for hot rods and unique cars. Counts Customs and the whole team are unbelievable. Quality of workmanship and the entertainment they produce in the quality of work they perform I will always admire. Keep up the good work guys. Love the show.

how'd you get 200hp? 63 was what? 1200cc? I didn't see a turbo or even dual carbs? You can put a big cam and high compression pistons but 200hp? What kind of voodoo magic is dis mun?

I love the older VW bug and buses and that 60 bus turned out awesome that was sweet. The auto trans on the bus was awesome as well. If I ever get another VW bus I have y'all custom it and put a auto trans in it. Love all the work yall do, keep it up!!!

We in BC normally have alot of show and shines of classic cars and cars forsale but not this year due to ynow..........

I know a guy here in New Hampshire that is crazy about these VW buses also, he has a few of them. My favorite is the 63 Split Window Coup, i love that car, always did and always will. A word on the buss, she did come out beautiful as you said.
I am still looking for a nice 1965 Ford Thunderbird, to me, that was a car of pure Luxury back then. Just love them if they are done right and the engine is good. I know there were many problems with the 390 engines then, i had one in a 67 Ford Galaxie many years ago, the lifters went on them all the time.

That gas tank looks like one I saw made on TV on one of the Biker Build off episodes! Whoever made it made the shape on the sides out of tubing or round bar and welded it solid to the tank and then pounded it in to make the concave area! I wish I could remember who made it but I just remember it being made!
