Its safe to say this mission determines the Skill, Knowledge and most importantly Determination of a Devil May Cry Player. a game of "Pick your Poison" on steroids. this description will be quite as huge as the video is in itself so bare with me.
"A Game of Chess"
Starting with the Chess Board I have seen a vast majority of DMC players utilizing the Royal guard style to delete the King, Air Releasing and building up energy parrying the queen. I decided to run Swordmaster pairing it up with The Hammer attack to harass the king. very risky move considering the pawns will shift into a different form when they reach the end of the board, the form they take is all RNG based.. one run will spawn more knights, another run will spawn Rooks or more bishops. the queen however is the main piece to look out for, just like in an actual game of chess the Queen will protect the King the more you attack him, as for all other pieces the closer the King comes to falling the more aggressive they get, always stay in motion and stick to the air as much as possible. all chess pieces will fall the very moment the King falls.
"Pick your Poison"
Safe Path: Agni & Rudra, Beowulf, Nevan, Geryon
Short Path: Agni & Rudra, Beowulf, Cerberus
Dangerous Path: Cerberus, Gigapede, Beowulf, Nevan, Doppelganger
Unforgiving Path: Cerberus, Gigapede, Agni & Rudra, Levithan, Hell Army
The route I chose to take was very unforgiving indeed, 3 tough bosses and 2 simple, I chose this path specifically because I've never seen a DMC player accomplish it before, also I really did not want to fight Beowulf or Geryon as I was certain I would screw up one of the encounters, its always best to choose the bosses you are the most confident engaging.
In all honesty the amount of chokes i took going down this path was astronomical, mainly at Leviathan and the Hell Army, major props to every DMC player who has taken down every boss within the gallery, not an easy task by any means.

I think that's the first M18 SS I see (that is not an "all bosses" run) where you do this route, but I completely understand trading beowulf for 3 extra bosses lol (although personally I have an even stronger hatred for gigapede). Congrats on the SS, you're at the home stretch! :D

I had to use quicksilver to beat the chess set. It is brutal. It is possible to SS rank time by killing every boss on the level, but the time is very tight. The geryon fight is a major time sink, as is the chess board. I grinded to get SS rank on this with every boss killed. The centipede is honestly one of the hardest to no damage, imo.
Royal guard is a tough tactic here as well.. if you can parry the queen properly, the overall time for this mission is 35 minutes for the S Rank, it’s possible to beat it, your execution has to be solid
Didn't expect Spiral to come handy like it did
High penetrating amor piercing rounds, destroys boss health bars.. if you know how to utilize it properly

@@Goukii thank you, I have Always difficulties to judged It if It's enabled or not. Great video! Very good strats for the bosses! On turbo topic what's your opinion on that? I like the feel of the game being faster but at High difficulty I find It difficult to handle expecially in performing many techs (like some canceling and Crazy combos)
@@Jester94100 Vergil in DMC4SE is cracked with turbo mode, as for DMC3SE, extremely difficult, you don’t know what you’re doing.. your going to struggle
