Thank god Kenny stuck to the guitar and the blues instead of asking for a b.b. gun to have fun with his brother , Kenny is one of the best , and I sure hope that other young people are learning from him the same way he did from Joe , that way we never lose the blues .
This guy plays an excellent blues guitar, and he has great rhythm too! As a musician myself, I always respect a musician who can entertain an audience completely solo as well, it's not easy playing alone.
@@erich1394 I'd also add that solo jazz guitar-much like solo acoustic guitar-is not a forgiving instrument. Your audience can hear every little mistake you make, so anyone who can do this solo has my respect for sure. Playing great solo music with no effects, no loop pedal, no vocal accompaniment, etc. is top-tier performing.
@@bveracka I play mostly solo blues guitar but only my friends and family are listening, so I make many mistakes! Joking aside, this is exactly how I feel about Kenny Brown. Solid performances. Not always overly elaborate, enough detail where warranted. Well chosen notes. Fire-breathing slides. Spectacular execution.
I’m gonna go down to the crossroads and meet my good friend Kenny Brown. Kenny Brown is the lineal connection to the original players and originators. Lineal “champ” of the heavyweight division of the blues.
Kenny is a friend of mine. He's just as nice a person as he is an excellent musician.
Love that North Mississippi Hill Country Blues. The whole scene is amazing. One day I will make a pilgrimage there
