started at 2:08, then skipped 2:07 and 2:05 for this time. awesome ALSO im setting up playlists on this channel. trying out end cards too, hopefully they won't be intrusive
This gives me the feels, the graphics and gameplay were ahead of its time. Takes me back to middle school days, definitely up there with Jak and Daxter / GTA 3.
That was a good run right there! I am shocked how you still got that time. Nice work Kelecat. You are a true champion at this game. Daggyboi is another good player as well. But, Kelecat is the true champion of SSX 3 and SSX Tricky.
How often are you able to get the big skip cleanly when you do this run? I can get it sometimes but damn it’s hard. I’ve found that one of the biggest things is how fast you’re going when you hit it, but angle for sure matters too but that’s harder to be consistent with. Any tips for it ? .
Despite all the years this game has had recently in terms of strat development, big skip is unfortunately one of the few remaining unsolved mysteries. My strategy is to line up smoothly with the right edge of the ice path on the inside of the bank turn, saving any right turn for the spot right before the big launch. You have to avoid getting caught by the powder up there, which is basically up to luck. As an extra heads up, if you plan on using the warp in this strat, aim to launch off the bank turn further to the left than you see me doing in this run. Aiming more to the right gives better outcomes for clean big skips, but those are slower for the warping route.
@@johnnygambino1819 There's an ideal rhythm to the tapping. Just a few short taps per second should work fine, but if not, try imitating the flip rhythm you see on the controller display's d-pad
idk either. big skip is the bane of all SSX 3 runners. all that's known is that going more to the right like I did here gives "clean" results, and more left gives better "warp" results
how you get ruthless ridge backdrop? did you wormhole from ruthless ridge to red station? (thats just my guess, not sure if that is possible) btw you're amazing at this game lmao
did that exactly. If you want to try it too, just make sure you don't transport after doing the wormhole. once you want to switch the sky back to normal, transport to the spot that the sky came from (eg I would transport to RR after doing this run). not doing that specifically makes the game load forever
@@nasace if you spawn from a wormhole in a spot PAST the point where a track deloads (when the snowflake counter disappears for a track in freeride) and try to go straight to the point of loading the next area (where the snowflake counter appears for the next area) without hitting the deloading spot, it'll freeze. also, you'll often have to backtrack to make sure you can hit the deload zone for the track you took the wormhole out of to make sure it doesn't freeze. for some reason, hitting it from behind makes the sky glitch happen

FACTS. ssx tricky was better in my opinion tho
Been playing the last 2 years (never b4) and I agree. This game aged extremely well. Super replayable too
sure but this is using a texture pack eh
Oh hell naw these short cuts helped me out a ton

Ik the CPU was mad as hell when they noticed you got a 1 minute+ gap on them.
My favourite race track by far
the finn is anger
you're insane!!
Im amazed
do you think 2:03 is possible if you didn't get so much air around 1:27? or was that deliberate?
certainly yes. that skip is extremely hard since it's not very well understood, so i could give 2:03 some attempts to see how it goes...
@@kelecat7094 i believe this is the hardest race to master in ssx 3, 2:04 is extremely impressive. you're a legend.
0:50 to 1:00 had my jaw touching the floor, and just a couple nights ago it took me like an hour to get gold on this course lol
FC Johnson, a Family Company took me a couple nights to get 2:11 platinum this guys a monster

intimidator needs to be pushed to its clean limits with tas
0:19 literally what👀👀
Had the game myself and actually knew it was possible. That was one of the best things about SSX3, the freedom.
@@TheMetastasiasince making my last comment, I replayed it on an emulator, the gameplay is still amazing and the game is gorgeous in 4K
I'm jaw dropped
Anything new in the mountain?
New skips?
New strats?
Main thing for the game right now is better play.. there's small finds here and there but nothing more than a couple seconds
@@kelecat7094 but! Every second counts 👀
AMAZING Big Skip, but why no Tubeskip?
Paul clean run
Yo, how the hell do you rotate that fast? Is it a cheat? Or in the game settings?
Rhythmically tap the direction of your flips, don't hold them
@@kelecat7094 nooo way I'm gonna try it right now thanks
@@kelecat7094 I can't seem to figure it out but it seem like you flip and trick waaaay faster.

Kelecat thanks for the information. also, can it freeze the game?

I want to know why do you still play this game
Because it is one of the best games ever
