  • The new release TTArtisan 56mm F1.8 Nikon Z mount APSC lens has truly surprised me! I was not expecting much from this TTArtisan 56mm F1.8 in all honesty. Being a budget lens at just $158USD I was expecting middle of the road results. I was so wrong. Turns out this TTArtisan lens is a powerhouse for portraits having an equivalent full frame focal length of approx. 85mm.

Those sharpness test results genuinely did surprise me. I think we are now seeing more and more third party lens manufacturers come into the Z mount market. This is good news for consumers in terms of competitive pricing and choice 👍

Hi Adrian, a great video, buddy! TTArtisan has some really interesting lenses, I have to say. I tried one of their fisheye lenses recently and I was also quite positively surprised.
Thank you for the video and enjoy your weekend 😉
    Nice greetings,
    Christian

Great review Adrian, enjoyed the review. That lens seems to be an excellent value. I am glad that these manufactures are reaching out to you do these reviews. YOur point of view is much more sensible than some of those youtubers out there that would do something silly like compare this lens to the Nikon Z 85mm 1.2.

Thanks so much for watching my firend. I agree this lens is pretty amazing for the price. If I was going to compare this lens it would be up against another similar focal length budget lens in the same price range. Comparing it to a many thousand dollar native prime would be like comparing a Toyota Corolla to a Ferrari 😂 Have a fantastic weekend, cheers

@@adrianalfordphotography Adrian, BTW I don’t know of you know or noticed, Hugh Brownstone with the RUclips channel “Three Blind Men and An Elephant” mentioned you when he was reviewing the Viltrox 16mm f/1.8. He stated during the review that he is not an Astro photographer so he did not test it in that matter. He then mentioned, among other noted RUclipsrs, your name for an Astro photography review. You can hear him mention you at time stamp 12:11. Congratulations my friend!!

@@leod1671 that’s so cool thank you for letting me know. Funnily enough I just used the Viltrox 16mm for astro this week - as I type this I’m putting the script together now for it. Hopefully vid out next Saturday… depending if Nikon drop the Z6III or not 🤷‍♂️
