It’s crazy how 1 min 30 secs can hype you up, sell you a series, be catchy or head banging, and even use it to further foreshadow the story in either the visuals or lyrics. Even crazier, the passion that can shine from animators and directors working on these. Some of my favorites gotta be Smile Bomb, A Cruel Angel’s Thesis, Asterisk, Peace Sign, Silhouette, Sorario Days, Black Catcher, Viva la Namida, Battle Cry, and Bebop’s just to name a few…
I love a lot of anime openings, Death Note OP 1, Hitman Reborn OP 1, MHA OP 4, GTO OP1, Ippo OP 2, etc. I can't even get into how many Gintama or Naruto openings factor in too. They embody the show for me, especially if there's different openings for each arc. I even used to go to anime op ranking videos to see if people liked the same things I did lol
OPs are also one of my favourite things in anime. Songs themselves are really important too. BTW. Speclialz in JJK made perfect sense to me. Sonce that song's lyrics ate all about Sukuna mocking Yuji and calling him "his special." It's twisted & that's why it's perfect. Also calling 'My War' trash... Ok bud. 😂 Also, Odd Future from MHA is a forever banger... Anyways, this is such a great video! Because OP don't get enough love! Loved it!
The first opening for Bleach is probably my favorite, its so nostalgic. Takes me back to a simpler time when I was new to anime and everything i watched was so cool
I almost never skip openings ! They’re part of the experience! It’s like you said, it usually hypes me up or gets me in the mood for the episode I’m about to watch and love openings for that. Unless it’s god awful then I skip lol this was an awesome video! One of the easiest and quickest subs I’ve done 🔥🔥
Dorohedoro has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard, plus Vinland Saga's Paradox from last year was awesome. I had that on repeat plus JJK's specialz too and there's so many other ones I love like Parastye's, Death Parades, MHA's Peace Sign, YYH's smile bomb and Rainbows.
For me, openings/endings can really elevate how I feel about the characters or make me even more emotionally invested personally, not to mention the lyrics and visuals can go so damn hard at times like damn I love Japanese music lol

0:50 - I start losing my cool because THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO MAKE SPINNING TOPS LOOK SO COOL! Seriously, you would not believe how disappointed I was when I realized I couldn't command my beyblades like the anime.
Its so sad people nowadays just skip the *Ops and Endings.* They are a huge part of the overall experience and as you get older, You'll feel really *jolly and nostalgic* if you remember the times you used to watch certain Animes and hear those *'Certain Songs'*
@animeaugie it's only 6 episodes man and it's the only anime we're I would recommend watching the dub...it was a love letter to anime made by Gainax on the heals of Evangelion
I would love to see a similar type of video on anime outros as I feel anime as a whole has always really struggled with making consistently good outros. Yet I think lately I've seen some things like Frieren which make me think they're finally figuring it out. Black Lagoon, Frieren and Spice and Wolf all have great first outros but it seems like its much rarer to talk about a good outro compared to intros. Also it seems after the first intros and outros many animes fumble them very hard.
