because pour molds require more silicone than brush on molds i'd like to reduce my cost as much as possible. I'll build a custom shaped box but what is the minimum distance from around the sculpture that i should build my box? half an inch?
I Foundation it on smooth on. But i Think it ain't in use any ore, and are there clay with a starter package? Or Can some1 give mé a link to a starter package, pourable, with everything i need?
I have designed a mold for a 2.5mm thick walled RTV silicone part and used 3d-printing to produce it. I need tips on ways to reduce friction and properly vent this mold as the part always comes out with large bubbles where the silicone failed to expel the air pockets.
okay i am going to buy this dickblick com/products/smooth-on-starter-kits/ because smooth on does not ship to Denmark. but is thoose pins you set in to make the things to make the 2 half sit toghter, are they included?
On the Smooth-On website, there are calculators to estimate the amount of rubber or plastic you will need: smooth-on [dot] com/tools.php Also, feel free to call or email us with the specifics of your project to get a better estimate.

what could be a household diy version of the release agent spray? can you use cooking oil in a mist bottle?
No, cooking oil would not be suitable. Vaseline thinned with mineral spirits can be used.
@@smoothon i ended up using 1 part alcohol (hand gel) & 2 parts dish soap, worked a treat :)

Can you send us a tech ticket? Our team can help you - www.smooth-on.com/support/ticket/add/agree/
@@smoothon Thanks I figured it out in the end though. Filling from the bottom upwards fixed the issue.
Oh that's great! Glad to hear it!
We recommend 3/8" minimum wall thickness for most applications.
Looking to purchase an adjustable mold box like you showed in the video. Any ideas where I can get one? Thanks.
We actually built this box. Instructions are here: ruclips.net/video/R7IDtwjAPac/видео.html
