Isn't it amazing? A good soundtrack completely changes how something feels. I recently watched a video on how unmemorable many Marvel movies' soundtracks are and wondered why the movies didn't leave a strong emotional impression with me. Contrast that with a score like Howard Shore's Lord of the Rings and you have a completely different depth of feeling.
Unforgettable and legendary soundtrack I like it much much more than the D3 one, its much more darker and mystique and has kind of unknown evil vibe to it. Thank u for sharing this with the world!
im in love with torchlight2's music... composed by Matt Uelmen of course! and although the graphic concept of this game lacks the dark atmosphere diablo had, it's still a better game than d3. diablo 2 will always be the best! great video!
37:00 do you know guys what the music says " ki szeret engem" is in our language Hungarian. That's not a coincidence. That sentence means "Who loves me" That's a word of a fallen god left behind as a message. But which makes this even more interesting is that, why an American song writer put this sentence into the melody? Guess why :)
there is at least three versions of the soundtrack.. the original in-game music, the free mp3's that blizzard released, and the cd.. the differences are slight tho.. some version will have two tracks while another version joins them into one.. or for instance the ambietal intro/outro of the song might be longer in some versions.. theres also 3 outtakes that only the free blizzard mp3's had..
in terms of sound quality, the original game music (as I could extract it anyway) is at 22khz 16 bit, the free mp3's are 44khz 128kb 16bit, the cd is the best of course.. 44khz 16bit
That would be Matt's genius. And, also, the reason why D3's music sux, since he didn't make the soundtrack. He has some hidden super skill to get the right mood for a dark and mysterious background music... notes, instruments, combinations, it just works.
RandallDeanClark i totally agree. matt is a genius. he sets the mood right unlike the mess that's in d3. less the game, it's only great music. technical. no feels.
we lived the golden era of games. Diablo 2 was the top, starcraft too... this game proves that 4k 1080 7.1 dolby GTI 200CV all road biturbo games are not better if his lore is a shit.
I disagree with several of the production choices made in d3, they are just not targeted at the same group that d2 and d1 was. The problem is that they should have thought of satisfying both the new and the old target groups. I agree with puppitear in that d3 is a bad game and just because something is new doesnt mean its better. Also different is not bad, but d3 is bad :0. Oh and dont be a dick because you might be right
I have yet to see anyone give a genuine explanation of why they think Diablo 3 is a bad game (hint: it's not). I agree that it wasn't great as a sequel to the first two, because of how different it was. In that regard it was a disappointment, but to say it's a bad game in its entirety simply because it would be better as a stand-alone is outright dishonest.
Well, for starters, the new classes i find are lacking imagination, almost feel like they were brought from torchlight and d2 as they were, 2ond i feel badly for the pay-2-win attitude, that money-grubbing blizzard has adopted third there was a huge hole in the plot, and finally and ,more importantly i didnt enjoy playing the game nor did i feel it had any repetitive value that d2 had. I mean why is path of exile so much better in that aspect, even if it comes from an underground independant studio
Sorry to burst your bubble, but very few things in life actually rely on consensus -- let alone consensus of a group that is guaranteed to be biased. The fact that you brag about that as the basis for believing that you're right shows that you haven't really proven anything. Oh, and the CoD-esque "Pwned idiot" at the end gave a good laugh. Good day to you.
Lulz. How so? Did it not cater to your sense of fake nostalgia? Were you disappointed that they actually made a new game and not just an extension of Diablo II? You people are so silly.
"No character in the whole story is believable or developed." Except, oh, I dunno, most of the main characters? Utter bullshit. Did you even pay attention to the game other than the generic villains? "A 12 year old with his mother's credit/debit card can buy the best gear in the game and get to max level in two days." And this makes the gameplay terrible for you how, exactly? I agree the real money auction house is a bad idea, but to say it ruins the game is flat-out untrue.
Complaining about the skills, ironically enough, is ONLY valid when viewing it as a stand-alone game. D2's vanilla skill system was as bad (in my opinion, worse). And seriously? A largely multiplayer game at the turn of the century doesn't need to have an end game (but D3 does) because it was made hardly 10 years prior? Bullshit. Less advanced technology does not make it impossible, or even more difficult (beyond the difficulty of making the game in the first place) than it is now.
Sisters is just... wow. Absolutely incredible. Can only dream of something even a tenth as good for D4.
the gravest mistake blizzard did was letting go of blizzard north
Diablo I & Diablo II.
The first time I realized HOW MUCH music is IMPORTANT for a game ambiance ...

What an absolute masterpiece. This was at least 50% of the game for me.
THOSE CHORDS during "Sisters"... some of the most beautiful music in existence to me...
Listening to this while playing Path Of Exile!
sinner
Around 18:40 you can hear a small cut on the left speaker! It is also in the game! :D
Work of art. I think it is the best game OST currently existing. Its sounds even more better with flac
Crypt.... the chills. Just so amazing.
Unforgettable and legendary soundtrack I like it much much more than the D3 one, its much more darker and mystique and has kind of unknown evil vibe to it. Thank u for sharing this with the world!
d3 soundtrack sucks i mute that shit
redsb1337 everything in d3 sucks
+Constantine Christian D3 is pretty ballar nowadays if you haven't checked it out. They fixed it.
i doubt it, the loot system is probably still a joke.
Zounds! The transition between these songs is seamless!
I miss playing Diablo II, but nobody seems to be on it anymore :\
Beautiful...
A love Spider. For me, that tied Diablo 2 to 1 even more than the story could.
Path of Exile + this on the background.. Feels like i'm back
All who oppose me... beware.
Upload is amazing, video editing is amazing. Thanks for the great upload. Instant-Fav.
Amazing soundtrack, brings back good memories from my childhood
Best Soundtrack EU

diablo 2 will always be the best! great video!
best sound track EVER!
"Spider" track (act 3rd) is taken from D1 - and I Love it!
"Spider" track same as DIABLO 1 music "dungeon cathedral" theme
@CushD : U sir , are an epic sir for uploading this ! epic sir !
Good memories
It's weird. They didn't use the same takes for the game as they did for the soundtrack.
Truly æsthetic.
I'm gonna turn off D3's music and play this in the background instead!
+Matthewtron3030 I thought everyone already did that
i tried but the game is way too cartoony for this
yeah, D1 and D2 had a darker, rugged feel, D3 looked like a glossed over meta-RP with an endless stream of text boxes
You should try the Diablo 1 mod in D3's PTR realm.
@@phoenixrq9139 Rumour is that Diablo 4 is returning to that darker more gothic style.
Matt Uelmen ist a god

I love the Crypt one :D
This is it!
I don't know if it's a reference.. i like how from 59:40 - 1:00:10 sounds like Chopin's Prelude n.20 .. ~ same chord progression.
Master!
best is Spider Cavern.. so creepy so eerie
Roger & Me is an optimal feels delivery system.

So who else out there can notice that Coda is Chopan's prelude in c minor ?
I should read a book? What book do you suggest? I've spent a large portion of my life doing just that, so as a disclaimer I may have already read it.
i couldn't walk away.
=,) PERFECT!
what is it about this music that mad the game feel so cool back in the day

Oh yes I do!
Where can I hear Coda in the game?
listening this to farm D3 - theres a pb somewhere
It doesn't. It's just another of Matt Uelmen's songs. :)
Actual creativity compared to the bland soundtrack of D3.
Toru anyday 😀
but missing crying creeping sound of hell victims

я бегал на паладине с френзи было весело
I don't recognize Coda at approx 59:20? what location in the game does that music play at?
But and "Sanctuary" track same as persan music but is priestly tune.
wheres the harem?
9:09 - 9:25 I never heard that part
if you stay in rogue acampment long enough you can hear it!
Ignacio Andrés Espinoza Edwards In The LoD Pack, has removed this part
is it me or I can ear voice in the background at 0:06 to 0:11 ??
Sure
Why is it called Roger and Me?
... then i played d3 and put the music on mute. it made a lot of difference to the game........ way too different.
Excuse me.. Are u LastWish?
If yes, what your nick in maya servers.
After this answer I have a surprise for you!
+Rbno Srgo say me suprise ^^

I like the gameplay in Diablo 3 way more than Diablo 2. The music, however, is bland and unmemorable.
One out of two aint bad.
lol
+Uberskull The gameplay is frustrating slow and horrible in diablo 3

Diablo 3 is a disgrace.
Matt Uelmen Also Composed Torchlight 2 Music, which sounds Exactly the same as diablo 2 soundtracks. Check it out >_
