Hi, thanks for checking. Unfortunately, no, we had to move out of the leased space and we have now purchased our own land near Dharmapuri. Just got started with setting up the infrastructure, power and water.
Thank you for the response, we are also planning to implement a similar kind of model in our 1 acre land. We are making 100 beds of 100ft length and 3 feet wide in 1 acre. If you could share your experience and the profits you made / month with this model, it will really motivate us . Thank you
@@Addy-xq6rp Frankly, we didn't make a profit. The issue was, we were supporting two labour families and 1 caretaker for just a 3 acre farm. 5 people could have easily supported 5- acres. On top of that, there was the lease expense. Cost per acre was just too high for the income we were getting. We were making these raised beds with manual labour. Its best to use a tractor - bed maker to be cost-efficient. Managing the farm remotely was also a bit of a challenge. With all this said, in my opinion, 1 acre land (say a mix of veggies and lettuce) must yield at least 3-4L per year in revenue. If we have a larger piece of land (or) if we are able to collaborate with neighbours, we could achieve a lower cost-per-acre.
Hello Sir, Appreciated your effort and All the best. I have started follow up your videos very closely since I am also planning to start 5 layer vegetable natural farming near Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu). Kindly keep update your next videos and this will be very helpful for others to follow. Is this 5 layer model similar to Kumarasway (Sathenalli) ? Thank you.
There's no doubt in my mind that its a workable model. However, it requires close supervision - if you are in the field every day, I think its very much manageable. However, if you are not full time like me, then its better to choose a simpler model which is easily understood by the labourers who work at the farm.
waiting for your next video sir ..what are u doing now ..eager to know please post next video also...with current status of your organic dream..eager to see..
Hi Since you might have completed one cycle, does it end in 4 months? What is the yield and what kind of rates you are getting ? Please let us know Thanks
Yes - one cycle ends in 4-4.5 months. Things like tomato/brinjal/bottle gourd yielded well (~at least 3-4kg) in the plant's lifespan, but others like ladies finger and beans were just alright. Regarding the pricing, we are positioning at slightly premium prices compared to the market price and trying to have a flat pricing structure. I think the demand is there all the time - the important part is to master the art of production and supplying fresh every day and we are focusing on improving this.

Ecosafefarmer, thanks for sharing the video. How is your experience now after 2+ years. I am interested to know more from you. How far your farm is from Bangalore ? Thanks
Hi Alice, presently, we are not using any filters. We are using drip tapes for irrigation and they don't have any drippers in them. These tapes have got micro holes through which water comes out as a jet. Since the salinity in my area is high, the chances of blocks were high in traditional drip tubes and we have chosen this alternative. So far I have not faced any blockage related issues in these tapes.
that's really awesome documentary thank you so much for sharing with us.You are doing very great.
