    A very good summary of the major differences. You did not mention Airbags, the T5 is limited to 2, the T6 has 6.

    The 2:44. T5.1s can also have start stop technology. Mines is ex sky 63 plate. But is not euro 6.

    Good vid well explained bout the models. I have a T6 reg May 2016 & it’s a blue motion high line but is euro 5 no ad blu so you’re right to highlight around spring to sept 2016 there was many change over/run out models & need to check when looking. I prefer no ad blu cos hear can be troublesome system when topping up.

      Thanks for your comment and input Julian, we have never experienced any issues with topping up Adblue, but the more features you have on a vehicle the more chance there is of something going wrong, but in general VW Transporters are very reliable in our experience.

      @@HighlifeCampersUK on forums, I have seen occasional issue with the sensor in the ad blu tank not update the ecu for a while or if too much ad blu is put in, can be problem. My 2016 last mot emissions showed very low readings so they are far less polluting than many petrol engines! I love my T6 & when stop working, going to get it converted to a fab camper!

      Mine is the same t6 no ad blu.

    Great video. Can you tell me what is the best load rating to go for when picking a camper conversion donor van, bearing in mind the extra weight a conversion will need to carry? T28, T30 or T32. Thx.

      @HighlifeCampersUK  Год назад +1

      Hi Chris, thanks for your question. Any of the VW Transporters are suitable for a camper, the T28 has a max load of 2.8 tonnes which is more than enough, so a T30 and T32 are 3 tonnes and 3.2 tonnes respectively.

    My question about t6 2017 is, it's easy to convert manual for DSG

    • @HighlifeCampersUK
      @HighlifeCampersUK  7 месяцев назад

      No not at all, it would cost far more than it's worth. You would be much better off buying a factory DSG.

    I’ve had both, a caravelle T5 180 and a T6 shuttle 150. Take away the caravelle stuff. I prefer the 150 to 180, 180 just used more fuel and tyres. That said I preferred how the T5 looked. The cup holder in the T5 was absolute garbage, I broke 3 in 5 years.

    Why is it called "post" collision???, as in after the crash.... 😕 😕 😕. Should it not be called "pre" collision, as the system is monitoring your current driving? 🤷‍♂️
    And why are you filming in reverse? 🤔

    • @HighlifeCampersUK
      @HighlifeCampersUK  Год назад +5

      That's what the technology is called, it was actually designed to stop secondary collisions after the initial collision (post), but it also works pre- collision. I didn't name it, take it up with VW. And I'm sorry they way my camera was set up bothers you so much, maybe focus on something else?

      Are you referring to my camera angle or the name of the VW technology? 🤣 feel free to move on to a different channel, I'm fine with that. Thanks for your comments and feedback though, it's appreciated.

    • @TB-ik4lo

      It’s called post collision because after an accident it limits the van to 6 mph.
