- Back in 2019 I was a special guest singing at an amazing Iron Maiden event at Cart & Horses in London. I did the song "Prowler" together with Terry Wapram. The great Paul Mario Day was also back on stage singing a couple of songs from his former band, Iron Maiden, along with another former Iron Maiden member Terry Wapram and his band Buffalo Fish. Paul Mario Day was also on stage with Airforce with former Iron Maiden drummer Doug Sampson. In the audience were a whole bunch of former Iron Maiden members, and it was a fantastic day. Later in 2019 Paul Mario Day and I wrote a song. I wrote the music and he wrote the lyrics and vocal melodies. He recorded a demo, but we never got the separate vocal files. Fast forward to 2024, and I used the same type of AI technology that The Beatles did on their new song "Now & Then". I managed to separate Paul's vocals from the demo, and we could carry on and finally finish the song. I invited the great Terry Wapram to do the guitar solo, my brother Peter Danielsen did the organ and orchestration, and my 17 year old stepson Adam Gjerde Rasmussen Danielsen recorded the drums in my new studio Legend Recording Studio a few weeks ago. And now we can finally show you the song we have been working on for 5 years! I present to you, the mighty Steel Axe and the song "Song of the Wilderness"!
