I never really ever watch reviews this is the first one and I think you did a great job. Thank you for liking my sneaker. I like that you weren’t a fan of it but it’s such a weird thing that you converted so I guess my design worked. After 17 years it still a strange color way but so how it works hahahaha. They can’t since its has closed down years ago
only the first release of ~40-50 pairs had these as they were a hyperstrike release, the “restock” of around 3-500 pairs didn t had the DQM tag afaik
Those are the hyperstrike. Not all OG bacon has those tag.
I think they couldn't do that even if the store closed, it's more of royalty because Nike probably never reached out or willing to pay, or the guy just don't give 2 shits about it like how the story is floating around..
I used to work at Dave's Quality Meat (best job ever) got 2 pairs of the original release. Favorite AIR MAX of all time. Was lucky enough to score a pare this time around too...Thanks for this beautiful creation Dave.

I seen videos about this shoe, but the second you put them together, I geeked! Good ol early 2000’s
As an old school sneakerhead(I got started in 1988), this is the kind of stuff that I love, a true backstory! I had actually heard the story about Dave Garcia just a few days ago and I had to check it out. His story and this video are hella dope! It's the kind of stuff that actually got me into sneakers, not just for the shoes, but for the story behind them! Great video and storytelling. You guys kill it everyday!

Fun fact about sneaker stores that dont soubd like sneaker stores. Theres is a store in Hamburg called "Glory Hole" and the Inspiration is the fact that its near Hamburgs well-known red-light district

These have been my grails since 2006 when I got into sneakers. Have been wearing AM90s ever since and am gonna be pissed if I can get these for retail but will buy resale if I need to. Praying for my 6M 🙏

I was picking up my unc 4 and I get an alert on my SNKRS APP. You have exclusive access to the air max 90 bacon my mind exploded I quickly clicked 9.5 and purchase. I got the confirmation email and was more excited about the bacon then the 4 lol I wound up selling the 4 for 350 cash and don’t regret it at all my second fav shoe of all time after the Nike Huarache low is the air max 90 these are a grail to me

Took a L on the release day. But Nike change that and corrected the error according to them. They send me a fresh pair of air Max 90 🥓. That so dope man. Big shout out to Nike for giving me pair💯🙏🏼
Fun story on these and materials are great, but not crazy with the color way either.
I actually went to wait on line for the OG Bacon and let’s just say. The line so long made you just want to play in traffic or go home. The line was just as bad as the pigeon dunks but not crazy 🤯🤯🤯

Where I'm from in Charleston WV there is a meat shop called Johnnie's meat market and they have T-shirts that say Nobody can beat our meat. The story behind this shoe is absolutely freaking awesome. I never knew until you told us. No shoes for you come back one year!

I always disliked the shoe, but LOVED the story. Surprised they didn't go full OG with these, but I think people will be excited to get them, and that's the point.

I think Van’s bought the DQM store but I’m not 100% sure. I bought shoes there a few times years ago.
Also the mudguard is thicker at the front than the AM 3.
Entire shape is different.
Those are so dope I wish I had a real chance to cop....
