- The 2014 #WEC season ends with a massive crash during the final race as Mark Webber and Matteo Cressoni make contact in the final kink, sending both cars hard into the wall
Cressoni was okay, Mark Webber is awake and alert
Mark Webber has survived so many crashes that if he were in the red Carrera GT or the Vampire Dragster he’d walk out completely unscathed.
The one in Valencia was a big ASS crash
And grosjean would be in another car
too soon bro😔 but I get you
Aussie grit
@@jordanhoeben6583 what you mean both happened well over half a decade ago the vampire dragster even longer
The best safety innovations in racing most likely kept Mark on this planet of ours. I love him as a driver, but damn he gets into big ass crashes.
Hahaha .. his crash always huge 🤣
and they're usually not his fault. I can't think of a major crash that was either solely or mostly his fault.
Flippity flip flip
And they are almost never his fault either
@@Basetornado Valência 2010
I have to say. He’s definitely been through the one of the worst careers in terms of heavy crashes. This. Le Mans. F1 Valencia. Unbelievable crashes
Brazil 2003 was a huge one too, but it was overshadowed by Fernando's impact
@@murphymoerf more crazy its that, mark webber in 2003 f1 brazil gp he crashes in same place and almost in same wall..
Radio Le Mans team are such class acts. No sensationalism, no speculation, just the facts. We salute John Hindaugh and your crew!
Absolutely.. Very sensible and factual, yet sensitive commentary in difficult circumstances. The genuine concern for the driver is palpable without being melodramatic. John Hindaugh is a class act. I wish he had a higher profile as a motorsport commentator.
I don't. I've watched 50 hours of Enduro racing with John Hindaugh in 2017 already.
rodcosmic this is not even lemans 🤦♂️
speedpassat they do commentary for the endurance season. Le Mans is just one of the events on the calendar
@@samclements1849 like... All sports car races. WEC, IMSA, ELMS, etc... Not sure anyone calls more races a year than John Hindhaugh lol
Unbelievable ! The same corner where Mark crashed in the Jaguar.
Dat Unluck
Patrick den Engelse i realised that when it showed the corner
I had the same thought coming through my mind... same corner, same disaster
@@alebangalter at least this time there was no alonso ignoring yellow flags
This time the concret wall was protected with safer barries, they install this after Webbers crash in F1. So his first crash made his second on the same corner safer.
Announcer: it is a Porsche it is a Porsche
Me: it WAS a porsche
James Quinn HHAHHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAHAHAA
it is now an sf1000
Announcer at Le Mans 1999: it’s a Mercedes
Mark: it’s actually a plane.
Ferrari: Destroying LMP1 Cars since 2011
+Теодор Иванов Fucking true hahaha
+Теодор Иванов You mean 1999 ;)
right? why is that! bad luck huh
Ferrari sucks at WEC and F1! They should consider just quitting.
didn't Ferrari win the last gp?
Not Webber's favorite corner I take it.
Mark how many times do we have to tell you, Red Bull actually doesn't give you wings, with Porsche or not!
Mercedes CLK GT1 gave him wings

Matthew Carnell and a Red Bull @ Valencia
Mark Doesn't crash often. But when he does, he sure makes it spectacular
Maldonado would be proud.
I bet he was secretly in the Ferrari and caused it
+Michael Dyson. I could have sworn I saw sneaky Maldonado throwing a banana peel on the track on the lap before the crash
look dad i wrecked another lemans car cant say im not consistent LOL
lol
😂 Yeah
In a strange way, this accident demonstrates what phenomenal machines these LMP1 cars are. They are extraordinary other-worldly pieces of machinery that dice with disaster every time they are travelling at warp-factor 9 and shoot past "mere" Ferrari 458s and Porsche 911s. It's only on the rare occassions it goes wrong in a BIG way like this that you truely see just how much kinetic energy is going on in these amazing cars.
Just like in 2011 and 2014 with audis, 2012 with a toyota, 2008 with a peugeot...
Man mark has some weird things happen. From flying f1 cars to this...
*_Mark Webber has had some of the most spectacular crashes from f1 to lmp1._*

RIGHT
TechDude207 looks like it was the Porsche collected the Ferrari, not the other way around.
+Todd Schoolcraft he doesn't understand...
2003 and 2014..... Almost the same place....
surprised that barrier isn't upgraded, pretty crazy that they just allow LMP1/F1 cars to hit concrete at those speeds
Joe Acampora I agree, that was a hard hit.
those are hard hits but these cars shred themselves apart on impact and that's what you want when you're the driver. because it dissipates the energy. this was undoubtedly a massive crash though
It's not concrete barrier. It's SAFER barrier. The same they use in IndyCar and NASCAR oval tracks. Works better than tire barriers in those kind of corners
Joe Acampora SAFER barrier not concrete.
It is upgraded. It's a safer barrier. It was introduced in NASCAR and is mandatory on oval circuits for NASCAR and Indycar. They're very good at dissipating energy and is safer than tyre barriers.
Such an emotional moment of Porsche Team. Looking back I was shocked to read the news and read Mark's biography in after he had a crash, he got a lot of messages including from Seb his former trammate. It showed how a lot of people concerned and cared about him. Mark said that he couldn't remember clearly why it happened when Timo asked him.
Is this the same spot where Alonso hit Webber's wheel ?
yes
Everything has an equal and opposite reaction. Radio Le Mans guys report it as it is and hope for the best. Comments section on RUclips clip flooded with shitty F1 circlejerk.
I listen to the news every day in Australia and I never knew anything about it.just shows how self obsessed and crap our news so called service is here.
Allan Simonsen didn't get much in Denmark nor France, it just shows how centred it is around other rubbish.
DVN What country?
DVN Oh, I thought you were originally replying to me. Sorry.
Bruh your country censors tiny things of course you’ll never get a clear answer
Australia is now run by feminists and it was such a nice place to live 30yrs ago. Good luck to you man I hope you find your way out of there...
With how powerful and fast today's LMP1 cars are compared to their Group C counterparts in the 80's. It's great to see both drivers walked away from this crash to race another day.
its always ALWAYS A L W A Y S a Ferrari!!!!!!!!
Yup! Davidson and Rockenfeller got away with their lives after a ferrari hit them. Not sure about webber though. He seem to have lost control and just collected the ferrari with him.
xevious2501 Interesting. I've thought the same thing since quite some years. I remember GT Ferraris taking out several LMP1s in Le Mans almost every year. Could it be that the very rich, talentless, useless AM-drivers always use Ferraris? Because if they brag in front of their rich, talentless friends any other brand just isn't prestigeous enough? I hope I'm wrong...
How is the visibility from within the Ferrari?? .. Being that they have been involved in crashes that looked as if the drivers in the Ferrari's didn't see the other cars they hit.. Could that be the main factor in those crashes?? (Including this one)
+Jimmy the Saint Ferrari is just badge. There's nothing that special about them. Lambos are much more fun
+Jimmy the Saint I wouldn't say so. I've read people saying the 458's blind spot is hard to see and that it's a dangerous car but I don't know to be honest, people love 458, hell, it has won LM24H twice too.
"Britney's in the wall!" lol
😂😂😂
DeployTheDRS Serves Mark right fit saying that
"What a b*tch"
Why does it seem like it is always a Ferrari involved in these. Glad he is okay though that was massive!
seriously.. glad you noticed that. I think its the same team as well from the LeMans crashes
I think you are right man. i believe a lot of their divers (not all) have a superiority complex.
Ronald Carkhuff They get into a Ferrari and think they're instantly hot shit, but they aren't.
the fezza didnt cause the crash it was webber who "collected" the fezza.
The Ferrari drivers are always the ones to cause accidents...
+Mysterious Figure I think that is because of the nature of the car having a bigger dead angle.
+Lukilord are you talking about blind spot?
Just curious, but dead angle sounds pretty much like the Chinese way to describe it...
Weier Mi
yup, sorry was talking about the blind spot of course.
Mysterious Figure jajajaja it's true
Safety Crew: Ima take my time
This is not the fault of the Ferrari.
7:23 good view
Even though I live 60 miles from São paulo city it's the first time all these years later that I see this footage , because brazil didn't broadcasted this race for us and I never saw it untill now and by youtube randomly chose this for me , many thanks for that TBK Light , wow he really crashed in the same place as he did in F1 in 2003 , wow . scary
Sadly, he received a Deja Vu.
Webber said, “I would rather throw up in my helmet.”
Part of why he's retiring.
the car was completely destroyed damn
Mark actually retired after seeing his insurance premiums. "So Mr Webber have you been in any crashes since you started driving"
I was there and dammit it was scary, Webber's car cracked open like an Easter egg
Glad mark is okay.Nasty accident.
It's very ironic that Webber called Vettel the crashkid while he himself has crashed HEAVILY in every series he's raced in..
Mark never caused the crash that was the difference between the two. Vettel ALWAYS caused the crashes he was in because he's an asshole driver. Mark was just very unlucky.
Oh look, a Vettel fanboy comment and a Vettel hater reply!
Is this the same mark Webber in f1
alex LAMBLEY Actually funnily enough it's not. The Mark Webber in this video is actually the cousin of the Mark Webber who used to race in F1. They have the same name, but it's just a crazy coincidence.
The Formula One Webber has all but disappeared off the face of the earth, although I did see an interview on TV with him recently, and he's doing well, and is about to release his biography, so that'll be an interesting read I'm sure. I'm interested to see what he's been up to in his time away from Motorsports.
alex LAMBLEY its mark webber's twin
+alex LAMBLEY no, this is his alter ego
alex LAMBLEY of course he is

Mark Webber - the man with a billion lives :-)
He _has_ set records for "jeopardy friendly"
Just to shut up all the stupid comments I read: I am a friend of Matteo Cressoni, he is a professional driver and an official instructor of Ferrari racing driving school (Corse Clienti)... Mark Webber hit Matteo Cressoni, as a suspension of the Porsche collapsed... so please, collect all the informations before writing sentences!
+savuto1977 thank you!!!
+savuto1977 got proof for that, friendo?
Is it enough the call in which Webber explained to Cressoni what happened and why the Porsche hit The Ferrari?
of course yes champ!! xdd
Hannibal Buress Fuck off
At this point mark is just immune to crashes.
we've seen f1 crashes up there: 2003 mark also crashes up there in an f1 car coincidence I think so
yeah:

R.I.P 919 hybrid
R.I.P 458 GTE
LMPs died today.
Thank GOD Mark Webber came out of this one ok..... After something like this they should just red flag clean thoroughly and let everyone use a set of tires normally held back by the FIA people will drive over these sharp carbon parts. A good crash is part why people watch no more driver's dying though you don't want a tire to just give way on the straight and kill spectators or the driver.
It was getting near the end of the race which meant it could have been declared over if the red flag came out at this point of the race
wow freaky exactly same place webber crash f1 jaguar
it's not the same place.
+EutassKid Mv Yes it is

that shut you up lol
Providing precision since 1955...
Glad he is ok
Such an honest chap
Interlagos?
Why is the dude at 2:13 wearing a bicycle helmet?
He cycles.
Was it just me who saw Brendon Hartley there?
Yes, his teammate!
Same sort of crash, that took the life of Allan Simonsen.. very lucky that he wasn't seriously hurt
The same kind of things you see in F1? When has anybody been pushed into a wall like that? He makes it sound like normal procedure but I am struggling to think of one example. Glad Webbo is okay though.
Actually I think that is the same spot where Mark Webber crashed in 2003.. and then alonso hit one of his tyres left on the track and slammed into the wall bringing out the red flag watch?v=-iikUvXPKjE
This one was very reminiscent of his 2003 GP crash almost the same spot…
What was so spooky to me at the time was the fact that that was the exact same corner where he had his massive shunt in a Jaguar back in 03.
This have gone under the covers for 7 years for me JESUS
My god, it was the same corner of his crash in 2003
Webber always has the most spectacular crashes. :D
Many huge crash for mark webber:
Two fly 1999 with Mercedes in le mans
F1 fly red bull
Brazil 2003 - same track, same corner
0:23 it looks like Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Team Oreca... look at the yellow paint job and the rear wheels.
If Mark Webber was a cat he would be dead.
It held up quite well considering the hit. Massive shunt
That's not the first time Webber has crashed there
1:12 Hartley in the background!
GrumpierLion221 Hartley is deeply thinking to what kind of racing series he should move to after watching that horrifying crash. Four years later, he gets one big crap accident at Silverstone.
Interlagos. Qual ano ????
2014,ta no titulo do vídeo
That car looks so crumpled at the back/left. Good thing these aren’t left hand drive
The man flipped in an F1 car. He’s been in some nasty shunts in his career
Hé did 3 Flips in a le man Mercedes
In 1999 Le Mans he flipped during warm up lap

Webber crashed in the same spot in F1. When he was at Jaguar.
Some things never change, like a Ferrari gt car colliding with a prototype
HANS Protector, Saved many lives!!!!!!!!!! RIP Senna and all the others.
ferrari cars. ferrari on track with lmp1 is to scary
and anytime. Le Mans 2011 Rockenfeller and McNish, 2 times a 458. I don´t understand that
Mark webber seems too get involved with serious crashes way too often in WEC
Like I said, Ferrari is always being a disaster
*Europe 2010 Flashbacks*
*Brazil 2003*
shows how good safety wise these cars are . Mark has had some BIG shunts and walks away . Even in the Red Bull F1.

Mark Waiting For A Renault...
Mark sure loves getting into big crashes.
Not bad number 2 driver
Webber loves Curva do Café (Coffe turn)...
Tiago Nunes concerteza
It's somehow always him to go through unexpected crashes
They don't even bother to throw the red flag for the safety of the medical and track workers.
It is Webber's fault or his opponent's fault ?
Btw Webber already had a similar crash at this section of the track in 2003 when he was running for Jaguar, in F1.
I was just thing that I remember alonso saying it was the worst crash he had
Is that Brendan Heartley??
Someone needs to ask mark how he keeps convincing god to not take him
Nearly every big crash he has done is a fatal crash but because it's mark driving it's not
Reportedly his wife begged him to retire after this as she felt he couldn't possibly continue to get away with these. Understandably.
Is Mark Webber ok ???
he waved and gave thumbs up on stretcher, so probably nothing serious.

0:17 the driver survive?
Terry Huang yes
audi r8 safety car?
Yup,it was an R8
Mark Webber: I don't always get involved in crashes, but when i do, it's FUCKING SPECTACULAR
Definetly not a coincidence that this got recommended to me as the 6 hours of Sao Paolo is this week
its amazing he survived
Was he ok?
Didn’t he have the exact same brutal accident on that corner in a jaguar?
Webber walking under ladders again, he always has horrific looking shunts, but comes out ok.
for your info that wasn't a mistake from ferrari it was Marks fault and ends up like that
0:57 is that a young Christian Horner?! 😂
One of the fastest corner without run off and crash barrier? How is this track still racing top tier motorsport.
golferchin76 Nascar fan eh?
actually yes.
golferchin76 Because it's one of the best tracks in the world maybe?
+golferchin76 The track have safe barrier where Mark crashed
I heard that Mark Webber called this crash "The Big Bang".
