Guys, you need to understand.... Solomon Reed has -UNWAVERING- LOYALTY! This guy is a victim and doesn't even know it, or he knows it, but is brainwashed into thinking it's ok. Imagine being in that kind of toxic relationship… Heeeere's Johnny! ruclips.net/video/HCTHU_xNkvk/видео.html
He returned after being killed because of hybris, an inflated ego. His feeling of responsibility is actually created by his own reward system that is unable to deal with loss because he has been conditioned to avoid failure at all cost. So his mind wraps around a fake reality in which he has never once failed.

Fun fact: Reed and Maine (yes from edgerunners) who also was in the NUSA spec ops too were deployed in the same unit and Reed also offered a job to Maine to become an FIA spy during the Unification war
This was so good. I know many dislike Reed deeply but I actually really him despite his many shortcomings. Thank you for providing such an in-depth analysis of the character with grace and compassion even. You were very fair in your character study and those tidbits from psychological studies are fantastic to create a very thorough picture. Please keep doing these kind of videos, it’s a joy to watch them.
😁🍻 Thank you, just trying to be different on YT. No one else is doing this really. I mean there’s some who do this kind of thing, but they sort of focus on all medias, where I focus mainly on video game characters.
I was gonna help so mi until she said she was gonna kill everyone around even innocent people in dog town just for a distraction so we can escape from the stadium. In that moment I went from feeling bad for to realizing she just like reed but worse and won’t stop lying to herself and others about who she is and what she is willing to do to complete her mission.
@@BeyondHorrorGaming yeah I was ready to help her to even knowing through out my play thru that she was a terrible person but I kept feeling bad for her up to that point lol. then did the whole hour sequence in the underground lab and instead of giving her to reed when she asked me to kill her I did im not that petty lol.
I dont think she was gonna kill everyone in dogtown, at least not on purpose. Maybe a few people in the stadium would die but it wouldn't be the main objective, it was either make a distraction and escape without Kurt Hansens soldiers killing her and V, or go back to the nusa and Rosalind myers which was a NOPE for obvious reasons. On top of the extremely limited options she was dying and not mentally 100%, obviously if doing that ended up hurting or even killing some innocent people that's not good but it's also understandable, personally I wouldn't call her evil for that, Johnny Silverhand pretty much nuked a whole arasaka building (or at least was involved) when not everyone who worked in there was some evil villain, only some high ups, he had less of a reason to blow them all up or at least less of a reason then Song, yet people don't call him evil. I guess stuff like this is what makes Cyberpunk such a good game, nobody is completely evil (except for Adam smasher and Suburo Arasaka, I think that's the old dudes name? And also Rosalind Myers that mf is a bitc-) And nobody is completely good (except for maybe River and Kerry, they are chooms fr). Basically every character is morally grey in some way. PEAK GAME
@@Invincible_Falls yeah your exactly right for me it was her always playing victim like she didn't make a lot of the decisions to get her where she was at hell she help shoot down the presidents plane which could of started another war and then played the victim about it after she gave them all the info. but like you said no one is innocent in night city. at least with reed he has blind loyalty but he's not walking around trying to burn everything down around him even after he was set up and almost killed and been stuck in night city for 7 years. he chalks it up to part of the game and he knew what he signed up for and even still tries to help the person that set him up in his own twisted way.
I felt so bad for for so mi. She tried so hard to get out from the situation she was in and like she just wanted out, but Solomon reed wouldn’t let his damn principals go and was going to put her right back into the same situation she was trying to get away from. Reed knew what he was doing was wrong but did it anyway. That’s what’s so frustrating about him he never questions his own actions.
@ I am all good bro! I just woke up, preparing to go on a walk then have some coffee. Then going to get to work for the next video. Thanks for asking man, hope you’re doing well too!
@ Dont let it get to you. Work doesn’t care about people. Companies don’t actually care about their employees. We all make mistakes, we are human. I hate bosses like that; we can get the same message across by learning to communicate our expectations respectfully. Most people I have met who berate their employees like that, are miserable with their own lives and take it out on someone else to feel better about themselves.
I've enjoyed your videos. One nitpick: stockholm syndrome is not a real thing -- it's a construct of media, not psychology. (Bejerot invented the term without having spoken to any of the people in question, to provide cover for police incompetence.)
@BeyondHorrorGaming same man same it might sound silly but i have played this game 20 times whole playthrough 30+ times phantom liberty and even right now I'm playing phantom liberty and never betrayed her
@ I gotta learn how to do mods one day. My wife told me that a place called Nexus Mods is a good place to start. I went there once and never went back lol. Looked complicated.
Keep going bro! Nice video! I hate Reed ahaha he is the biggest government shill. He likes being bossed around by the government while humble bragging about all the sacrafices he had to make. He is like a gov corpo
I most definitely will, 2025 will be a good year I think. Hopefully, I learn from all my mistakes and successes this year and make better content. And yeah Reed has some unlikable qualities lol. 🤣

Thank you, I appreciate that. And yes, of course, I intend to as my channel's main focus is on psychological and story deep dives.
didn't expect this to be a dive in psychology concepts itself, using the threorists as basis and studies...
this is good :O

@ Its all good, my degree is in psychology too! Loved it so much and video games, figured I would combine the two lol.
@@BeyondHorrorGaming I see, i think Songbird is also a good one to work with, or maybe Rogue, since she is a long established character in Cyberpunk

Yeah, she definitely got the short end of the stick. Never really having control over her own situation; being roped into the situation and all.
Reed said he never knew how to lose, if we killed songbird down in cynosure, we taught how to lose and let go. Pretty much, we saved him from himself
