- We just got permission today to add on to the Orangery - bathrooms and a wheelchair lift. The French authorities said to wait 5 months, but after just 1.5 months = APPROVAL! We are delighted.

Queen's Escape was inspired by the 4 years the Belgian royal family stayed at Château de La Tuilerie during WWII. In particular, it is for the Queen. The king took shelter at a different location in France. We've named each of our guest rooms after great Queens of the past and present from around the world. Margrethe, Eleanor, Catherine, Himiko, Cleopatra, and soon our bridal suite will be ready in honor of Queen Elizabeth II.
With it's sprawling green meadows, 100-year-old trees, and historic location in the small medieval town of Gluges, the 200-year-old château is truly an escape. With 5 guest rooms to rent and a stunning Orangery, we look forward to welcoming you for a visit or to host your wedding or event.

I watch Chateau lifestyle shows (as mostly women do) for French decor & design, renovations, furniture, curtains & soft furnishings, art, brocante shopping, food cheese wine, beautiful scenery & gardens etc. I really was enjoying your channel. I noticed more consistent complaints about your finances & how bad you had it cleaning rooms - specfically more what you cant afford & how massively expensive heating, Brocantes & so many other things are. No one wants to see or hear constant complaints about laundry or ironing whining! Its not nice to see inside your broken toilet bowl! Seeing you exhausted & complaining about evening guests not showing up, when they are 5min late waking up, offering them "free" B &B breakfasts (not free as it is part of your B&B), complaining about guests leaving windows & doors open, & waiting for them to leave b4 you can have your own breakfast or clean. It is not positive interesting viewing. Cleaning is part of what you signed up for. Guests are on vacation. Enjoy the Chateau of your dreams! Celebrate with your lovely husband more of the positives & perhaps vent to others & not You Tube viewers! Not one of us have a lot of sympathy when we cant relate. Showing a few challenges is fine but not entire vlogs of complaint after complaint. (Defrosted croissants, downed trees, endless weeds & brambles, pig fencing, hornets & laundry laundry laundry!Dont borrow machinery, chippers, trailers off friends & be known as a "User" unless you pay it forward which you havent shown. Increase your positivity & you will increase viewers. You both are smart. Dont wave Patreon at us viewers who are not in favour or support you. It is not nice to show us what we dont get without paying you. This post is not meant to be mean spirited, just like you are....honest to viewers & I am giving you honest feedback. Read & delete. I totally understand. Cheers & wishing you success.
In customer service, its taught that customers who complaint are still wishing you to do business with them, giving you the opportunity to fix or make right their concern. The ones you cannot win back/ win over are the people who just leave without a complaint & then turn around & tell 10 people about their negative experience with you/or company or in your case Karen, your channel.
Being honest does not excuse rudeness nor ignorance. You are in customer service. I am in marketing and that is what you are commenting on. Our channel will always have transparency at its core. So, if something is frustrating, our viewers will see it. If something is confusing, our viewers will hear it. However our life as chateau-owners unfolds, that is what will be represented on our platforms. Our viewers, guests, and friends are invited into our lives to share in the ups and downs, and we love hearing their constructive ideas. But how we run our life and business and media is based on our personalities, our expertise, our ongoing adventure, and the commitment to being true to ourselves and our vision. And will remain so.
