    I just purchased the X8 and it works great except I don't like having to screw it on & off the valve stem and loose a little air each time. So I picked up an adapter hose on Amazon that has a right-angle quick connector lever and it's 5" long. I screwed it onto the hose end and clamped on the tire valve. Not only does it work much easier it quickly releases so you don't lose any air and also adds a little length so the pump can sit on the ground.

      @@willyafg once you start unscrewing, the threads won't be sealed but the valve core will still be depressed. the faster you can get the chuck off the valve the less air you lose, and unscrewing isn't fast!

    I have the smaller X8 you tested. I only use it for topping off tires which it seems perfect for. I pack it in my motorcycle luggage for trips just in case I get a flat. I also carry tire plugs, glue and tools for plugging a hole in the event I pick up a nail with a tire. Have not had to do that yet but I feel confident having these items with me. The X8 holds a charge for a long time between uses as well. I plug it in to charge only a couple times a year. Love this little thing.

    I have the smaller one, and it's just amazing to top off my small Spark tires.
    I mean, I'm not a "car guy", and I don't need to constantly deflate and inflate tires. Every 6 months or so, I just wanna make sure my tires are at the right PSI, and not have to drive to the other end of town, for the only gas station with a compressor.
    As a bonus, having a kid who loves riding around on his bike. Kids and bikes... I've patched more bike tires than I can remember, and this inflates them back up in no time.

      @@InJasonsGarage Actually, I ended up not getting neither one. I put in a few hours of research of all the other options and found that the AstroAI Cordless Tire Inflator on Amazon was best because it's easier to handle and it's very fast at airing up tires. I'm talking 22 liters per minute fast! It's also using a 20v battery and along with it, I'm using a JACO Lightning S2X Tire Inflator Hose Extension Self Locking Nozzle so that I don't have to fiddle with connecting it to my tire. It has a quick connect and release feature which I love! Yeah it's $25 but in my world, time is money. When the weather dramatically changes from night to day, so do the tire pressure and I want to keep as close to 35psi at all times.

      I think it's fine as long as you don't have expectations that are too high. I see it useful for 2 situations:
      * your tires are reading 37 and you know it's supposed to be 42. I bought one for my wife because she'll go spend $1.50 at one of those air pump stations even if her tire pressure is off by 2 psi.
      * you get a flat tire. In that case, it depends. Is it mid day? Maybe just call AAA and have them tow you to the nearest tire shop. If it's 1am and you have a flat fix kit, put that in your tire, pump it up, then drive home or if you can find an all night tire repair place, drive there. Believe it or not, with my last tire failure, which happened maybe 5 years ago at 2am, a tow truck driver drove me to a 24 hour tire fix it place, so they do exist!
      I think these are for passenger car tires. You have giant tires like in this video, do yourself a favor and get a beefier inflater.

      @@dustinthomas6959Fair question, and now that I think about it...it is almost as important as the output capacity itself. After all, a cordless air pump that can blow up the Goodyear blimp is useless if the battery is dead, right? I haven't checked mine in a while. So... I just set a calendar reminder to check the battery level of all of the Fanttik stuff that I own every couple of months. And then I went out and checked...maybe 2 months is too frequent because I hadn't checked on them since around this time last year. Here's my results:
      The X8 in this video was at 99%
      The X8 Apex in this video was still at 100% (!)
      The T8 Apex was still at 100%. Last time I used it and fully charged it was March of 2023. If you didn't see it...here's the video on that: ruclips.net/video/g_GS-SnIEcw/видео.htmlsi=R2buUckBcViCWUMA
      I use the V8 Mate Cordless Car Vacuum (ruclips.net/video/u6uFs8P5hL8/видео.htmlsi=zNkfwmuq8AKM7UbL) and the The NEX L1 Pro power screwdriver (ruclips.net/video/XQqNoVpFFgQ/видео.htmlsi=FnBcEytUTrQfJiqz) a couple times a week or more...so I keep charging those after each use.
      So far, so good.

      Very likely but never a guarantee they are the same. I did a lot of research on this, and a colleague of mine actually saw it in person. They can have multiple assembly lines putting out very similar products, but the components are often quite different....usually, cheaper versions which is reflected in the price.

    PMSL... What an EPIC fail. 😂😂
    21min to 'almost' inflate 1 tire, but manufacturer recommends not to use for more than 7-10min at a time. Ok, 30min to cool down every 7mins, that's almost an hour to inflate 1 tire!? But hang on, the battery died before it was finished...
    Sorry, I can't stop laughing. 😂

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  22 дня назад +1

      LOL...when you are done laughing, consider that it was not designed to inflate a tire that big. I was just seeing where the limit is. So...I found it. Hahahahaha. 🤣

  • @mrvang8077

    I wouldn't recommend these for larger vehicle tires. These are ideal for small car tires. As for larger tires I wouldn't count on it. I'd much rather get one that is beefier for all types of vehicle from small to heavy duty larger tires without having to wait in between to let it cool down.

    • @InJasonsGarage
      @InJasonsGarage  4 месяца назад

      I wouldn't either. 😎 I inadvertently took the responsibility of seeing what these things could do. One failed, one did not. But it's nice to know which one is for bigger tires in which one is for smaller tires...even if in an emergency to get to where a better fix is available.
