A thing to note with sweeps; if you want to use material takeoffs to quantify the sweep for any reason, it will not show up if that sweep is built into the wall parameters. Like at all. I’m not sure why that happens but it just completely ignores built in sweeps. Works for regular manual sweeps.
The other thing with details in profiles is that they can flip if the profile runs on the other side. Say you have four walls and a copping profile on top of your parapet roof. When you run a section through it one side will be perfect with the detail component in the right place but the other side will keep the detail component facing the same direction and will usually be outside of the profile. Why this happens is beyond me as I have tried and made sure that the detail was locked to planes inside of the profile family making sure there was no way for it to unlock from its position but it still does. If there is a work-around for this problem or an update I just haven’t heard of yet with Revit 2023 then please let me know. Otherwise, you may need to use those features with caution.
Still great content as this is what helped me through college and my first drafting job!

Also beware that the sweep created in the wall type editing the sweep not categorize as wall sweep but wall, and the sweep object style follow wall not wall sweep.

I was watching this video and I was hoping you weregoing to talk over the cover image you are showing before you enter the video. Can you tell me how you made the sweep in the round portion of this image?

Issue with sweeps. I need to demo part of the sweep on a wall, putting part on demo phase and part on existing, but im unable to do this and your tutorial didn't address this.
I can pull back the existing, but when i go to add the demo (since it's the same wall and plane), I cant build the demo sweep without it overlapping and calling it a duplicate.

If you do this around all 4 sides of a roof with a single pitch, for example, the profile ends up being at different angles at both sides, is there a way to stop this?

@balaknarchitect I was thinking, do you think it may be the graphics card for the reason I switch to realistic mode the model shows white like if it disappeared?

Hello :) thank you for your video. Quick question. is it possible to do a sweep along the top of a cut profile wall? i have walls that have an angle at the top but they need to have a coping. Any tips would be really helpful thank you

Hi @balaknarchitect I am having trouble with revit. The problem is every time I switch visual style to realistic to see how my model looks. But it doesn't show the model. It appears all white? How do I fix this. it appears like if it has disappeared
